Chapter 339: My villainous character collapsed after being read by a hearing-impaired boy (12) (1/2)

Li Heng took Shen Zhiyi to sit on a rocking chair near the tent.

From this perspective, you can overlook half of the city at night from the top of the mountain.

He held out the plate.

I don't know where he got a bottle of water from, unscrewed the cap, and placed it beside her.

Shen Zhiyi’s dark eyes sparkled.

【Wow, the puppy is really cute. 】

【Okay, I'll forgive him for hugging me randomly.】

She held the plate and started eating.

Li Heng stared at her plump cheeks and curved eyes. Her attitude and expression were completely different from the ones she had just confessed to. For some reason, frames flashed through his mind like a movie.

He offered his mother a glass of water, but she waved it away and it fell to the ground...

He went to open the door for his drunk father late at night, but was kicked away, pushed to the ground and beaten...

He held his award certificate and perfect report card, begging his mother not to leave, but she was completely shrugged...

He took the prize money he earned from the competition and went to the debt collectors, begging them not to destroy his house. However, after he drove them away, his father beat him until he became deaf, accusing him of deliberately hiding the money and causing him to miss the chance to turn the tables in gambling.

He closed his eyes.

He held the hearing aid tightly in his hand.

To him, "giving" has long been a joke.

It can even backfire into a terrifying weapon that causes even greater damage.

But……

He opened his eyes.

Looking at Shen Zhiyi’s profile blown by the night wind.

She had a satisfied smile on her face.

[It's delicious. A top student is a top student. He is good at everything. Even barbecue is so delicious.]

How does he know what kind of food I like?

Is your observation ability so strong?

[He even found water for me. How thoughtful of him.]

She was praising him.

All-round.

Li Heng looked at her eating with relish, and a complex and wonderful feeling inexplicably surged in his heart.

He felt it for the first time.

Giving is a worthwhile and wonderful thing, even if it does not bring any reward.

Shen Zhiyi saw that he was staring at him, and thought he was hungry too, so he handed him a string of grilled shrimp, "Do you want some?"

Li Heng didn't respond.

Shen Zhiyi lowered her gaze and saw the hearing aid he was holding in his palm. She put down the bamboo stick, leaned over, pulled out the hearing aid from his palm, and put it in his ear.

Slender fingertips swept across the palm.

Li Heng's body suddenly froze.

Her warm fingertips brushed the skin of his earlobe, tingling it. Then, with a firm pressure, the silence dissipated.

The noise and heartbeat returned to my ears.

Li Heng looked at her in a daze.

The dazzling stars poured down, illuminating her eyes, lips, and nose so close to her...

Every place is just right.

It formed the woman in front of him.

An inch more, a centimeter less, could not constitute the complete and unique her...

The night wind blew a strand of her hair across his cheek.

He smelled a faint scent of gardenia.

A scent that could capture his soul...

He saw her speak and heard the voice coming out of her small lips, "Li Heng, do you want to eat?"

She held the shrimp to his lips.

He spoke subconsciously and bit it.

Shen Zhiyi raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Are you hungry too?"

"Why didn't you say so earlier?"

"If I had known this earlier, I would have gone grilling with you."

"Barbecuing is much more fun than dancing."

She pulled it out, freeing the shrimp from the bamboo skewer and leaving it between his lips and teeth.

Smiling, she stuffed the two remaining bamboo sticks into his hands.

"Why are you standing there?" She smiled, her pearly teeth gleaming in the moonlight. "You look like a puppy, the way you hold the shrimp in your mouth."

Li Heng passed away.

He turned his head and swallowed the shrimp into his mouth.

"Miss, I'm not your pet." He lowered his eyes and smiled faintly.

Shen Zhiyi laughed.

Suddenly, she came over and pointed at the bamboo skewers in his hand. "Those skewered shrimps over there, aren't they all unshelled?"

"After you roasted it for me, did you also peel it for me and give it to me?"

Li Heng slowly pinched the bamboo stick with his finger bones.
