Chapter 2 The gloomy CEO tormented by insomnia (2)

Several people, upon hearing Shen Zhiyi's voice, clutched their chests and collapsed onto the sofa.

"Come here and pour it for me."

A deep command came from the corner.

Beneath the restraint, there was a subtle hint of the fascination and madness that came with locking onto a target.

Shen Zhiyi followed the sound and looked in that direction.

In the corner, Shang Ze sat upright.

Half of his face emerged from the shadows, deep and sharp as if carved by a knife and axe, appearing mysterious and melancholic in the varying light.

The moment I saw Shen Zhiyi clearly.

His breathing almost stopped.

Although his expression remained as gloomy and cold as ever, his eyes, hidden in the shadows, shone brightly, even tinged with a hint of fanatical excitement.

It's like they've found their prey.

Shen Zhiyi took a bottle of wine, walked to Shang Zeyan, slowly knelt down, and bent down to pour him a glass.

"Mr. Shang, please enjoy."

"You recognize me?"

He rested his elbows on his knees and leaned forward.

His gaze was inquisitive yet full of interest.

Shen Zhiyi met his gaze, her eyes following his sharp face downwards, noticing that his suit tightened with his movements, revealing taut lines and an aura of powerful energy.

She slightly curved her lips and looked up with a gentle smile.

"In this S City, is there anyone who doesn't know President Shang?"

"Whiskey, your favorite."

She swirled her wine glass.

Hand it to him.

Ice cubes clinked together in the glass, making a crisp sound.

Shang Zeyan's gaze fell on her fingertips.

Her skin was as white as jade, with iridescent light reflecting off it like tiny, delicate kisses.

His eyes darkened slightly, and his Adam's apple bobbed silently.

"It seems they did their homework."

Her blatant advances pleased him.

In the past, if anyone dared to presume to guess his preferences, he would have broken their elbows and thrown them out of the private room long ago.

But she was different.

For some reason, her voice and smile seemed to have a strange magic that swept away my anxiety and frustration.

Instead, a deeper and fiercer fire of desire ignited within him, making his entire being boil.

The thought that she had investigated him...

Shang Zeyan's pores trembled and opened with excitement.

He took the wine glass.

Fingertips touch.

Shen Zhiyi's soft fingertips "accidentally" brushed against his.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Shang."

She feigned panic and exclaimed softly.

"What are you apologizing for?"

Shang Zeyan's voice was a little hoarse.

Am I that scary?

The skin he had just felt was smooth and soft like silk, and unexpectedly, it sparked a fine electric current as it rubbed against the rough calluses on his fingertips.

A tiny touch.

But it scraped him so badly that his veins bulged and his blood flowed backward.

Shen Zhiyi shook her head, her red lips slightly parted.

“They all say you don’t like being touched… I just now, it was an accident…”

Everyone in the private room was worried for Shen Zhiyi.

The woman who ran into Shang Zeyan last time has already been thrown into the sea to feed the fish...

Shang Zeyan lowered his eyes, looking at the wine swirling in his glass.

She's right.

Because of his stepmother, he developed a dislike for women's advances from a young age.

Especially those with ulterior motives.

But she...

It seems to be an exception.

"May I have your name?"

He lifted his eyelids, deliberately concealing the gloomy expression on his face.

Everyone looked as if they had seen a ghost.

This was the first time they had ever seen Shang Zeyan associated with the word "gentle".

"Understanding the meaning, deeply understanding the meaning."

Knowing that he wasn't angry, Shen Zhiyi became bolder and a smile returned to her face.

Shang Zeyan's heart skipped a beat.

Shen Zhiyi...

Her name rolled in his throat.

The person is as their name suggests.

It is as gentle as a book from Jiangnan.

It seemed that when he held and turned the pages, his rough fingertips would easily crumple her skin... A little bit of sweat would create a misty, spring-like dampness...

His eyes darkened.

Restrain yourself to stop your imagination.

He tilted his head back and drank the strong liquor in one gulp.

He glanced at her from the corner of his eye.

Shen Zhiyi looked up.

My gaze swept across his long, slender neck, as smooth as jade, where the veins were clearly visible and his prominent Adam's apple bobbed sensually.

Coupled with that undisguised, burning gaze.

It was as if he wasn't tasting wine.

Instead, she was like...

Shen Zhiyi felt inexplicably hot under his gaze.

She noticed the faint dark circles under his eyes, stood up, and looked at everyone. "Since you're so late, why don't I sing a song to apologize?"

The private room immediately erupted in excitement.

"Okay, okay!"

"What would you like to sing, miss? I'll pick a song for you!"

Shen Zhiyi chose a gentle song.

The tune is melodious and gentle.

Her sweet, melodious voice filled the private room.

It easily dispels all anxiety and unease.

Everyone looked captivated, and a few even unconsciously started clapping along to the beat.

Shen Zhiyi turned around.

He gave them a friendly smile.

Several people blushed and pounded each other's arms, screaming softly.

Shang Zeyan leaned back in his chair.

Let her singing soothe my tense nerves.

His gaze, however, traced her face inch by inch in the darkness.

It possessed an aggressiveness that even he himself found alarming.

Shang Zeyan narrowed his eyes, gazing at her parting crimson lips and pearly white teeth.

A sudden sense of impatience arose in my gloomy heart.

It's too much of an eyesore.

Her smile.

I shouldn't have done it in front of so many people.

It should only be directed at him.

"Get out, everyone."
