Chapter 27 The Cure for Thirsty Skin Syndrome is the Aloof Childhood Sweetheart (1)

A summer afternoon.

Downstairs in the physics lab building.

Bai Xinhan stopped in her tracks, her whole body swaying.

She looked down at the sausage in her hand that she was about to feed to the stray cat, and her mind went blank.

She... she was reborn?!

Back to before I met Zhou Yushen?!

Bai Xinhan's heart pounded violently, and she suddenly took off running in the opposite direction of the laboratory building.

If she remembers correctly.

She'll be feeding the stray cats for a while, and then a torrential downpour will start.

Then, you'll meet Zhou Yushen, who has just come down from the lab.

He handed her an umbrella.

This scene was accidentally captured by someone at the school and posted on the campus forum. From then on, the two became the hottest couple on the campus gossip list.

Later, Zhou Yushen actually confessed his feelings to her.

She originally thought he was the school's most popular guy, a genius with an exceptionally high IQ, and also came from a wealthy family.

Being with him should be very happy.

From then on, they could live a life that everyone envied.

She agreed.

Unexpectedly, dating Zhou Yushen was not a pleasant experience at all.

He dedicates almost all of his time to studying.

Every day I'm either in the lab or on my way to the lab.

I can't even go shopping with her.

Not to mention providing emotional value.

Moreover, his possessiveness is terrifyingly strong.

Not only did he not spend time with her, but after finding out that she was participating in various social activities, he broke down and went crazy, forbidding her from having any contact with men.

Later on...

He even confiscated her phone and forced her to go to the lab and library with him every day.

She's going crazy from holding it in!

She went to university to enjoy life.

But because of Zhou Yushen, he lived a life of unbearable pain!

I was forced to study every day, and then I had to deal with a cold, boring guy!

Who can tolerate this?!

Upon graduation, she discovered Zhou Yushen's twisted mind hidden beneath his academic genius exterior.

He bought a small house outside the school.

It was filled with her photos and things she used!

From small hair ties to large items like water cups and bags... he even picked up and collected discarded textbooks!

Bai Xinhan was almost scared to death when she found out.

She broke up with Zhou Yushen, but he locked her in that room in a fit of madness, adorning her with all sorts of money and material possessions, making her look like a doll who had lost her freedom.

He begged her to love him.

But who wants such a distorted and perverse love?

Anyway, Bai Xinhan doesn't want it!

Bai Xinhan quickened her pace and left the laboratory building as if she had encountered a ghost.

...

The sun gradually began to set in the west.

A sudden downpour dispelled the summer heat, and the raindrops pattered on the ground, stirring up a fine mist.

A tall, slender figure strode out from the laboratory building.

He was dressed in a simple black T-shirt, jeans, and a single-shoulder bag—the most ordinary attire—yet beneath his neat short hair lay a cool and stunningly beautiful face.

They seem aloof and world-weary.

He had high brow bones and deep-set eyes.

Beneath his pale skin, his facial features were clean and sharp, clearly the handsome face of a young man, yet his piercing and focused gaze gave him a composure rarely seen at his age.

Her temperament is complex and particularly captivating.

Zhou Yushen opened his long, black umbrella and walked into the rain with a blank expression.

As he passed the corner of the flower bed, a very faint meow could be clearly heard through the raindrops.

Zhou Yu squatted down.

Part the grass and branches.

A wet, orange kitten poked its head out, meowed, and nuzzled against his palm.

"So stupid."

"Why are you still waiting in this heavy rain?"

The kitten meowed in response.

A faint smile flickered across Zhou Yushen's narrow eyes as he unzipped his backpack and pulled out a cat treat.

It tore open with swift, clean movements.

He lowered his eyes and fed it to its mouth.

Thick, dark eyelashes cast a fan-shaped shadow on her face.

The orange cat stuck out its tongue, licked the whole cat treat, meowed contentedly, and then turned and ran into the bushes.

He didn't even look back.

Zhou Yushen smiled helplessly.

"You have no conscience."

The low voice blended into the loud sound of raindrops.

He collected the trash, and when he stood up again, his face regained its usual cold indifference.

He lifted his leg again and walked out of the school.

...

The Zhou family's home is less than half an hour's drive from the university campus.

Therefore, he does not live on campus.

Each unit in this community is a detached two-story house. There aren't many residents, and they are all neighbors who have known each other since childhood, so the atmosphere is very nice.

Everyone is doing quite well.

Therefore, no one thought about moving.

The closest family to the Zhou family is the Shen family.

The two families visit each other frequently.

Shen Zhiyi, the only daughter of the Shen family, grew up with him since childhood, and their bedrooms were both on the second floor.

The direction directly opposite.

He always treated that little tagalong like a younger sister.

But as they grew up, he became busy with various physics research and competitions, and was often away from home, gradually losing contact with her.

I only heard that she got into his university this year.

But because I'm usually busy, I haven't seen him many times.

Zhou Yushen walked downstairs to his apartment, put away his umbrella, and went inside.

Mr. and Mrs. Zhou are often away on business trips.

Therefore, since he went to college, he has spent most of his time alone in this house.

Zhou Yushen took off his shoes, straightened them, put on slippers, walked to the center of the living room, and placed his backpack on the sofa.

Then he went to the kitchen to wash his hands and get some water.

The transparent glass was splashed by a long, straight jet of water, creating shimmering ripples.
