Chapter 284 My flirting skills are so bad that I've made the Ruthless Sword Master furious (22)

The waiter led them to the best private room upstairs.

"Sirs, this is the best spot for moon viewing. Please enjoy it to the fullest!"

He glanced at Cang Liuyu and Shen Zhiyi, then pinched his thigh hard to keep his expression in check and prevent himself from making a sound.

Having worked as a waiter for so many years, this was the first time he had ever seen such a well-matched couple.

He's so handsome it's devastating.

She was breathtakingly beautiful.

In my entire life, I've only learned two idioms for praising people.

I actually used both of them today!

"Thank you." Shen Zhiyi was very generous, placing a silver ingot in the waiter's palm. "Don't let outsiders disturb us."

The waiter weighed the silver in his hand, his face beaming with joy. "Of course!"

"Sir, you can rest assured."

"This private room is several floors away from the dining area downstairs, and there are people guarding the entrance, so no one will come over."

"If you need anything, you can ring this bell to call us." He pointed to a bell in the room and left with a cheerful smile.

Soon, fine wine and delicious food were served, filling the table to the brim.

Shen Zhiyi pulled Cang Liuyu to sit down.

The table in the private room was set up by the window, where you could see the moon if you looked up.

As the wine is poured, the moonlight spills down, swirling in the liquid, creating an atmosphere as if one were intoxicated by the moonlight.

Shen Zhiyi pushed the cup in front of Cang Liuyu, looking at him hopefully.

"Try it."

Cang Liuyu lowered his eyes and gazed at her, picked up his wine glass, tilted his head back and drank it down.

"Is it good?" she asked.

"It's delicious." His Adam's apple bobbed. "Why aren't you drinking some?"

"Didn't you say you'd been waiting for a long time?"

Shen Zhiyi nodded, "Of course I'll drink it."

She hadn't drugged the wine.

To dispel his suspicions, I must also take a couple of sips myself.

She raised her glass and downed it in one gulp.

The mellow wine flowed from my throat all the way to my heart.

She squinted and sighed softly like a kitten, "Truly worthy of being called the priceless Moon Chasing Brew."

"Hey, didn't you say there are monsters in Lingluo Town?" Shen Zhiyi's eyes flickered slightly as she leaned forward, her delicate brows furrowing slightly. "Cang Liuyu, I'm a little scared."

"What if we get drunk and it comes to kill us?"

Her delicate, fair face was bathed in moonlight.

She gazed at him with a soft and clear gaze.

Cang Liuyu's heart skipped a beat, and he spoke in a hoarse voice, "Don't be afraid."

"I'm here."

He gripped the sword hilt tightly, recalling the opportunity he had grasped in swordsmanship before his seclusion and breakthrough.

His Dao heart trembled because of her.

He was confused about whether to cut ties or continue the relationship.

But he figured it out—

We should be tolerant.

The Way of Ruthlessness encompasses all things.

He used to avoid other people's feelings on several occasions, never thinking that he could accept them calmly.

The so-called Tao does not require one to sever all ties.

Instead, it is about staying true to oneself amidst a multitude of emotions.

Just as a rock stands firm in a raging torrent.

Though battered by the waves, it always knew why it stood there.

His gaze shifted downwards, fixing on Shen Zhiyi's face.

He should accept all her feelings and thoughts towards him, no matter what they may be.

at the same time.

Also accept the panic when your heart is moved and the clarity when you persevere.

Accept all the feelings you have for her, as long as you don't act on them, they can be forgiven.

She was an innocent bird, only coming to perch here for a while.

She should have a place to rest, and she should be allowed to leave.

That's how it should be.

"But I'm still scared." Shen Zhiyi shrank closer to him, reached out, and grabbed the corner of his robe. "Cang Liuyu, why don't you go get checked out?"

Cang Liuyu's gaze fell, locking onto her fingertips.

It was clear that they were only holding onto a small part of his robe.

But for some reason, I had a feeling that she held my life in her hands.

His sharp gaze swept over her face, as if unwilling to see any wrinkled, wounded expression on that soft face.

He agreed in a low voice, "Okay."

He got up, walked to another window, closed his eyes, and made a hand seal.

A steady sword aura swept across the entire restaurant.

He found nothing unusual.

He had intended to stop there, but then the image of her worried face flashed through his mind, and his fingertips paused.

The next instant, a powerful sword aura burst forth.

Strands of silk, like spider webs, meander along the wooden beams and door frames, weaving an invisible net that envelops the entire private room.

The hustle and bustle of the street and the laughter coming from downstairs were instantly shut out.

Inside the private room, the candlelight still flickered.

But the wind has vanished.

Shen Zhiyi watched him close his eyes, then immediately took out a small powder from her bag, took the two wine glasses, and quickly filled them.

She kept staring at him.

He sprinkled the powder into the wine glass on the left.

Completely unaware, when the sword energy reached the window frame near her, it created a gust of wind that blew the powder slightly off course, causing it to fall into the wine glass on her right.

Cang Liuyu opened his eyes.

Chen Zhiyi panicked and stuffed the paper package into her storage bag.

Cang Liuyu walked back to his position.

"I have already surrounded this place with my sword energy."

“Even if there are demons, they can’t get in.” He sat down opposite her, his gaze falling on the two glasses of wine in front of her. “Now, you can drink in peace.”

Shen Zhiyi's heart pounded, and she smiled and tugged at her lips.

"Very good."

She looked down at the wine glass in front of her, then handed him the one on the left, saying, "You drink too."

She raised her glass, her cheeks flushed slightly from the commotion.

"Let's have a run."
