Chapter 340 My villainous persona crumbled after being read by a hearing-impaired boy (13)

His eyes looked guilty, and cold sweat was almost seeping from his forehead.

"I...I didn't see it..."

Shen Zhiyi narrowed her eyes, stepped forward, grabbed his collar, and said coldly, "Tell me! Where did he go?!"

...

Li Heng walked down the mountain path for a long time but found no trace of Shen Zhiyi.

The river flows gently in the distance.

His heart skipped a beat, and a bad feeling rose within him.

Could it be...?

He strode towards the riverbank.

A black snake silently approached him...

As if sensing something, Li Heng suddenly turned around and saw the black snake!

The eyes behind the glasses suddenly narrowed, and upon closer inspection, the gaze was even colder and more sinister than that of the black snake, much cooler.

His gaze was fixed on the black snake's vital spot.

Just as he was about to make a move, he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure not far away.

"Li Heng!"

Li Heng's eyes flashed, and he took a step back, as if he had been frightened by the black snake, and fell to the ground.

He pressed his hands back and plunged them into the rocks, drawing blood.

The black snake smelled the blood, hissed, flicked its tongue, and slithered over.

Shen Zhiyi was greatly alarmed!

He grabbed a stone from the ground and swiftly threw it!

The black snake was hit and immediately fell silent.

Shen Zhiyi rushed over and kicked it into the river.

Are you alright?

She helped Li Heng up from the ground and said anxiously.

Looking at her worried expression, Li Heng felt a sweet warmth welling up in his heart. He reached out and showed her the wound on his palm.

"It's nothing, just a minor injury."

He hissed, frowned, and withdrew his hand.

Shen Zhiyi frowned and said anxiously, "It hurts so much, and you still say it's a minor injury?!"

"Come on, I'll take you back." She helped him to his feet. "Is your foot hurt? Can you walk?"

Li Heng twisted his elbow, then draped his arm across her and leaned his entire body over her.

"I twisted my ankle too."

Shen Zhiyi wrapped her arms around his waist and put one of his arms on her shoulder. "How could you be so careless?"

Li Heng gently rested his head on her head, smelling the gardenia fragrance emanating from her hair, and feeling her hands tightly wrapped around his waist, his veins surging and roaring like a river.

"Hmm..." he said softly, "What would I do without you?"

Shen Zhiyi hummed twice and curled the corners of her lips.

"I saved you, so you'd better think carefully about how to thank me."

She looked up at him.

"Or, you could treat me..."

Li Heng leaned down and kissed her on the cheek.

Shen Zhiyi was stunned.

What is it?

Did I just say "please," not "dear"?

A blush belatedly spread across her cheeks, her fingertips burning, as she clutched his sleeve. "You misheard. It wasn't a kiss on the cheek, it was a invitation..."

Li Heng's eyes flickered behind his glasses. He pulled her close, leaned down, and kissed her lips.

He pressed his lips together briefly before pulling away, and whispered, "Not a kiss on the cheek, but here, Miss?"

Shen Zhiyi was stunned.

Li Heng lowered his gaze and covered her lips again. "If you don't speak, it means I guessed right."

He gripped the back of her neck, lifted her head, and kissed her deeply, giving her no chance to answer...
