Shen Zhiyi strode over and drew back the curtains.
Sure enough, she saw Li Heng smiling at her.
He stood there, bathed in starlight, but his clothes and trousers were wrinkled and his hair was disheveled.
Like a sudden ray of clear light.
She opened the French windows with a hint of exasperation and let him in. "Why did you actually climb up the window?"
Even though it's on the second floor, this is still too dangerous.
Li Heng hugged her and said, "If you're worried about me, baby, you should acknowledge me as your boyfriend sooner rather than later."
"In that case, I can come in through the front door."
Shen Zhiyi was both amused and exasperated.
What does this have to do with admitting it or not...?
Li Heng, smelling the fragrance in her hair, couldn't help but kiss her face and head twice.
A burning kiss slowly touched her cheek.
Shen Zhiyi blushed and pushed him away, "No... Brother Elio will be here soon."
Li Heng lowered his gaze, and a cold light flashed in his eyes behind his glasses.
"He's not coming."
"How could that be?" Shen Zhiyi frowned slightly. "My brother has never failed to keep his promises to me."
“If he says he’s coming, he will definitely come.”
Li Heng raised an eyebrow and released her.
"Yeah?"
"Don't believe those kinds of things you say to coax children anymore."
“As people grow up, they should learn to keep their distance from their older brothers. From now on, I will be the closest person to you, baby.” He hugged her waist again, his eyes resolute, “An intimacy that will last until death.”
Shen Zhiyi punched him in embarrassment and anger, "Don't you know anything about shame?"
"I haven't agreed to be with you yet, so who wants to be closest to you?"
The large hand that held her waist was like an unbreakable chain, but even more secure than his arm was his unwavering gaze, which held her tightly.
That was an obsession that no external force could break.
Shen Zhiyi was moved by his seriousness and persistence, and her resistance gradually weakened.
Li Heng then smiled and leaned down to kiss her, just as Shen Zhiyi's phone suddenly rang.
“It’s Brother Elio!” Shen Zhiyi pushed him away and answered the phone.
Li Heng pursed his lips.
He curled his knuckles and tilted his glasses up in dissatisfaction.
"Hello? Brother?" Shen Zhiyi exclaimed in surprise, "You're not coming? You're going back to China tonight?!"
She glanced at Li Heng. "Why are you in such a hurry?"
Elio sighed helplessly on the other end of the phone, "If I don't leave now, I'm afraid I'll get entangled by a poisonous snake."
Shen Zhiyi was completely confused.
Elio paused for a moment, then said, "Lilina, I will always be your brother."
Shen Zhiyi smiled and said, "Of course."
"Brother, what are you saying? Even if I'm not by your side, we'll still be siblings for life, siblings whose blood ties can't be changed."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone.
Elio's relieved voice came through, "Hmm."
"The next time we meet might be at Lilina's wedding," he said with a smile. "Wherever your brother is, he will always wish you well."
"My sweetheart, may you be happy and joyful for the rest of your life."
Shen Zhiyi chuckled and said, "Why are you saying such sad things out of the blue? This isn't like Brother Elio at all."
"I haven't even graduated yet, what are we talking about for a wedding?"
Elio smiled.
She thought to herself that Li Heng, that jealous guy, would definitely take Lilina home as soon as he graduated.
We can't wait that long.
"Oh, right, there's something I forgot to tell you."
"I arrived around the same time as you, and Ms. Emily is visiting your school with her orchestra. We should run into each other."
"Teacher Emily?!" Shen Zhiyi exclaimed in surprise.
She hadn't seen Emily for several years since they parted ways abroad. Emily was her music mentor and her musical confidante.
Elio said, "She must still be thinking about that unfinished duet with you. She probably chose to visit your school this time specifically to see you."
"Lilina, be prepared, she'll pull you into discussing music."
Shen Zhiyi was deeply moved.
When she returned to her home country, Emily happened to be performing out of town and was unable to see her one last time.
She promised her teacher she would play in the ensemble, but she was unable to complete it.
It remains a regret to this day.
"I haven't seen my teacher in a long time, and I miss her very much."
Li Heng was unhappy that he had been ignored for so long, so he put on rabbit ears and leaned in to kiss her.
Shen Zhiyi slapped his face away.
"Brother, have a safe trip." She said goodbye to Elio and hung up the phone.
With her hands on her hips, she said to Li Heng, "Rabbits are very well-behaved and obedient. They wouldn't be like you, interrupting their owner when they're on the phone."
Li Heng looked aggrieved and took her hand, covering his other cheek with it.
“Then baby, slap me again.”
He then took her hand and placed it on his neck, tilting his head back. "Or, you can pinch me, I won't resist."
Shen Zhiyi: ...
She saw Li Heng with his eyes slightly lowered, his gaze behind his glasses innocent yet alluring, fixed directly on her face.
He acted as if he would let her do whatever she wanted...
His prominent Adam's apple bobbed in his palm.
Shen Zhiyi felt as if she had been burned and withdrew her hand.
He muttered, "I think you shouldn't wear the rabbit ear; you should wear the fox ear ear instead."

They knew I'd soften my heart.
Li Heng's eyes softened, and he slightly raised the corners of his lips as he leaned in and cupped her face, saying, "Baby, you're being too soft-hearted again. That's not good."
He said in a low, hoarse voice, "Meekness is just a rabbit's disguise."
"Its true nature is that of a powerful and ferocious creature, especially in certain aspects, where it can even be described as insatiable..."
