Samus clenched his fists, narrowed his eyes, and gritted his teeth.
The door opened, and Shen Zhiyi walked in, surrounded by several maids.
"Take him away and wash him clean," Shen Zhiyi ordered lazily, without even glancing at him. "Don't dirty my bedchamber."
Samus looked at his tattered clothes and his face, covered in dirt and bloodstains, reflected in the mirror not far away, and sneered inwardly.
Sure enough, they thought he was dirty.
"I'm not going." He didn't move an inch and said coldly, "If the princess thinks I'm too lowly to deserve such a brand new cage, she should release me sooner rather than later."
His words were full of sarcasm.
Shen Zhiyi stopped walking towards the inner hall.
She turned around and glanced at him.
Only then did I realize that he was tall and, standing by the ornately carved window, he actually blocked most of the sunlight.
His face, backlit, was shrouded in shadow, and his aura was chilling.
Even the strands of hair seemed to scream resistance.
"Want to leave the royal family?"
She met Samus's cold gaze, a detached smile playing on her lips, and walked up to him.
Her tone was languid, yet carried an irresistible pressure: "I'm telling you, you are already this princess's beastly husband. You are mine in life and in death..."
She slowly approached, her red lips uttering softly, "They too will die at my feet."
Do you understand?
Samus stared at her face, so close to his, gritted his teeth, and clenched his fists tightly.
His whole body trembled with anger.
A blush crept up her ears.
"If you don't want to go out, then shower here." Shen Zhiyi waved her hand, walked to the single chair in the room, and lazily leaned back on the chair with her legs crossed.
"I, the princess, will watch you wash."
