While Shen Zhiyi was asleep, she suddenly heard a loud splashing sound.
She woke up with a start!
What was that sound?!
She looked around and realized that she had somehow ended up lying on a soft couch, and the sun was already high in the sky outside.
What happened?
Didn't she ask Qingyuan to tell her a story last night?
How come he didn't fall asleep while she did, but instead?
Shen Zhiyi closed her eyes in frustration and pounded her head.
Why is it so hard to get him to shed a tear?
wrong……
Why is she sleeping on the bed?
Did he carry her over?
Shen Zhiyi raised her eyes and looked at the bathtub not far away.
From her perspective, she could only see a small part of the water; the man who had leaned against the barrel last night was nowhere to be seen.
Shen Zhiyi was greatly alarmed.
Where are they?!
Could it be that his injury has healed a bit and he ran away?!
Is it possible for demonic power to recover so quickly?
She hurriedly threw off the covers, got out of bed, rushed to the bathtub and looked inside, but still couldn't see anyone.

Shen Zhiyi was startled.
I almost fell into the water.
Qingyuan grabbed her by the back of her collar and pulled her up.
Shen Zhiyi patted her chest, turned to look at the man behind her, and said with a lingering fear, "Why do you look like a ghost?"
"Where did you go?"
Qingyuan's fingertips touched the skin on the back of her neck, and he suddenly let go.
With his hands hanging by his side, his fingertips unconsciously rubbed against them.
"Nowhere," he said casually.
His demonic power was not enough to sustain him away from her for too long.
"Wait a minute," Shen Zhiyi looked at his legs in surprise, "How can you grow legs and walk?"
She circled around him, then looked up and asked, "Doesn't it hurt?"
Qingyuan's gaze fell on her soft, rosy lips, then slowly descended to her slender, pale fingertips.
His Adam's apple bobbed as he looked away.
"Perhaps it's because you've taken good care of him, but during the day he can already grow legs and walk freely."
"But at night, he still needs to rest in the water."
Seeing the lingering worry in her eyes, he paused, then added, "It doesn't hurt."
Shen Zhiyi breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's good."
However, he can move around freely now. What if he leaves the Shen residence?
She immediately tensed up.
She tugged at his robe, "Then... will you leave?"
Qingyuan lowered his eyes and looked at her quietly.
"You don't want me to leave?"
Shen Zhiyi felt awkward for a moment, then let go of her hand.
Of course.
Her gaze wandered, then suddenly an idea struck her. She straightened her face and said seriously, "I don't know why you ran aground, but since you've reached the shore, it means there's something in the sea that's harmful to you."
“Your body has not fully recovered, and you can’t go back to the sea. If you go to other places, there’s no guarantee that people won’t mistake you for a monster.”
"Therefore, it's better to stay in my Shen residence."
"At least, I regard you as an auspicious omen and will do my best to take care of you."
"Why don't you stay?"
She looked at him with fluttering eyelashes, her expression exceptionally sincere.
Qingyuan's lips curled slightly.

They kept calling him an auspicious omen and addressing him as "Lord Sea God," but they showed no reverence for the gods whatsoever.
Instead, they used the pretext of doing it for his own good to force him to stay at home.
They even... had ulterior motives, hoping to gain favor in return.
Despite knowing that she was lying, Qingyuan felt a genuine interest in her, even beyond his goal of restoring his demonic power.
He had been lying in the lonely depths of the sea for far too long.
I really want to see what she's going to do to him.
"Sure," he said lazily, a smirk playing on his lips. "I'll stay here until I'm fully recovered."
Shen Zhiyi was finally relieved after receiving his assurance.
"Miss!" Dui'er rushed in from outside, her face beaming with joy. "Great news!"
She stepped over the threshold and curtsied to the two of them.
"What's wrong?" Shen Zhiyi asked. "What's making you so happy?"
Dui'er glanced at Qingyuan, then approached Shen Zhiyi and whispered in her ear through her handkerchief, "Rumor has it that Li Xianchuan had his manhood cut off last night!"
"From now on, you must not do anything to the young lady again!"
"What?!" Shen Zhiyi exclaimed in surprise. "Do you know which hero did this?"
Dui'er pursed her lips, suppressing a laugh, and shook her head.
"According to the servants in the manor, a sudden gust of evil wind arose, and then a scream came from Li Xianchuan's room. When the servants went to check, they found him lying in a pool of blood, his face full of pain."
"Even he himself didn't know what happened; in the blink of an eye, he became impotent!"
“What’s even stranger is…” she paused, then whispered gossip, “the thing he dropped can’t even be found at the scene.”
Shen Zhiyi was even more surprised.
"How bizarre?!"
She suddenly glanced at Qingyuan.
He sat at the table, slowly drinking water.
It was as if they couldn't understand what they were saying at all.
"That's for sure." Dui'er snorted twice. "In my opinion, who knows if it's not because he harassed too many women and got his comeuppance!"
"So God blessed him and made him a eunuch."
Shen Zhiyi chuckled, "You little rascal."
"When did you become so mean?"
Dui'er curtsied and blinked, saying, "It's all thanks to Miss's excellent teaching."
Shen Zhiyi chuckled.
“However, we still can’t let our guard down,” Dui’er said seriously. “I heard that Li Xianchuan almost went crazy last night and smashed a lot of things in the mansion.”
