Yaxuan's slender fingers gently brushed across the silver bell, and with a flick of his fingertips, the bell fell into his palm.
As he raised his hand, the silver bell made a clear "ding-ling" sound, which was particularly ethereal in the night.
"You want this?"
He leaned forward slightly, a faint smile on his thin lips, "This is not an ordinary silver bell."
In the moonlight, the ancient patterns on the surface of the silver bell glowed faintly.
"This is a silver bell that can be used to cast a spell."
"Miss, aren't you afraid of being bewitched by me?"
Shi Wu blinked her almond-shaped eyes, dimples appearing on her lips:
"Well...if you're good-looking, that's not impossible."
Yaxuan chuckled softly, his cold white fingertips stroking the bell: "I made this myself. Which B&B are you staying at? Have someone deliver it to you tomorrow."
Shi Wu smiled and looked at him with sparkling eyes, as if filled with starlight.
"Really? I live in the Flower Field B&B. My name is Shi Wu. What's yours?"
Shi Wu, what a nice name.
"Ya Xuan." His voice was cold, but he savored her name on the tip of his tongue - Shi Wu, a name as clear as morning dew.
"Wow, what a unique last name! Thank you in advance. By the way, I'll add you on WeChat and transfer the money to you."
As Shi Wu spoke, she raised the mask in her hand and prepared to put it on. She fiddled with the mask clumsily and couldn't put it on properly.
"Let me help you." Yaxuan stretched out his hand, his cold fingertips accidentally brushed across the back of her hand, he took the mask and stood behind her.
The scent of his breath brushed against her ear, carrying a faint herbal aroma.
"Thank you!" Shi Wu, wearing a mask, was like a happy butterfly, blending into the dancing crowd.
Yaxuan stood in place, following the pretty figure with a serious gaze.
Teng Hei appeared beside him at some point, licking his lips greedily: "Young Master, these tourists are very young, all college students, full of blood and energy, especially that..."
"Wait for the next batch." Yaxuan interrupted him, his knuckles tightening unconsciously, and the silver bell in his palm made a slight tremor.
Teng Hei looked at Ya Xuan in confusion.
"Young Master, there's not much time left for the sacrificial ceremony. Who knows when the next batch will arrive? What if there's no suitable candidate?"
"Look at the tourists this time, that woman is quite good."
Teng Hei pointed at Shi Wu.
"Wait for the next batch." Yaxuan interrupted him, his knuckles tightening unconsciously, and the silver bell in his palm made a slight tremor.
It was the first time that Teng Hei saw Yaxuan look so nervous.
He pointed at the slightly plump Jiang Jing unwillingly:
"That one looks very energetic, so it should be suitable for sacrifice."
"I said, wait for the next batch. Don't you understand what I'm saying?!" Yaxuan turned and left with a gloomy expression. The sound of silver bells gradually faded away in the night.
Teng Hei stood there depressed, frowning anxiously.
"Young Master, what exactly do you mean by this? If this continues, how will we explain this to the old priest?"
Early in the morning, Shi Wu was awakened by a knock on the door.
When I opened the door, I saw a Miao boy of seven or eight years old holding a string of exquisitely crafted silver bells in his hand.
"Pretty sister, this is for you."
"Wow, thank you, little cutie." Shi Wu took Yin Ling with both hands.
"By the way..." When Shi Wu was about to ask the child how much it cost, he had already run away.
She held the silver bell in front of her and gently stroked it with her other hand.
The sound of this pair of silver bells seems to be even clearer than Yaxuan's.
"It's really beautiful." Shi Wu shook happily, and then suddenly remembered something.
She picked up the phone on the bedside table and looked at it. There were two bars of signal, so she could make calls, but there was no network.
After washing up, she put on a white dress and prepared to go out.
As I was walking out of the B&B, I ran into the proprietress who was coming back from buying groceries.
"Little beauty, you're up now! Your skirt is so pretty! Do you want to go to the tea plantation? This skirt will look great in photos there!"
"Thank you, Madam Boss. I'll go to the tea garden later."
Shi Wu walked down the stairs happily.
Hearing the silver bell on her backpack, the proprietress turned around and looked.
"Isn't that the Young Master's Nine-Gu Silver Bell? The sound doesn't seem right."
She muttered to herself, but by then the fog had already gone away, and the silver bell on the backpack was shaking and could no longer be seen clearly.
She didn't know that it was a new string of Nine-Gu Silver Bells that Yaxuan had made by hand after spending a whole night, but there were no Gu insects inside.
Shi Wu came to the foot of the mountain and found a snack bar to sit down. While she was having breakfast, she heard crying not far away, and she turned her head to look over.
The person crying was Wen Yinyin. She was squatting on the ground crying and shouting.
"The car broke down at this very moment. You guys just don't want us to leave here, right?!"
"You bad guys!"
"I'm going to call the police!"
As she spoke, Wen Yinyin took out her cell phone and dialed 110. The second she dialed the number, Jiang Jing snatched it away and hung up quickly.
She couldn't bear it any longer and yelled at Wen Yinyin.
"Have you had enough of this?!"
"You made the strategy yourself, and now you're here to cause trouble. What on earth do you want to do?"
Wang Meilan was also very angry and clenched her fists tightly.
"You keep saying that others are trying to harm you. Do you have paranoia?"
"The car broke down, but the road isn't. If you think someone's trying to harm you, why don't you just walk away?"
Wen Yinyin listened and suddenly saw hope. She quickly pulled her suitcase as if she was about to leave.
