Chapter 448 The Rough Man of Snow Village 3

"What's wrong?" Bai Yuan turned around with concern to look at the woman sitting on the bed.

"I was just kidding." Shi Wu pursed her lips and looked at him with a serious expression.

Then he glanced around his house.

“You don’t have a single decent piece of furniture in your house, the bed sheets are tattered, and your clothes are faded. This doesn’t look like the life of a married man.”

"So I guessed you were single, that's why I made that joke with you."

"If you don't like it, then I won't say it again."

The woman lowered her head, looking aggrieved, her fingers clutching the tattered bed sheet.

Bai Yuan immediately felt extremely embarrassed.

He raised his hand and scratched the back of his head, trying to comfort her, but he couldn't utter a single word.

"Um, I'll go cook you some rice." Bai Yuan quickly made an excuse to slip out of the room.

The man went straight to the henhouse and grabbed an old hen.

The old hen fluttered and squawked in his hands.

"Hey, Bai Yuan, killing a chicken to eat?"

"It's not even Chinese New Year yet, and you're already eating so well?"

The neighbor lady couldn't help but ask.

Bai Yuan explained somewhat awkwardly, "My guest has woken up. She lost a lot of blood, so we need to give her some nourishment."

While cracking sunflower seeds, the aunt couldn't help but remind you, "Your tourist seems quite pretty, doesn't she? But I have to warn you, city girls don't look down on country men like you."

"They want a house and a car."

What can you offer them?

Bai Yuan frowned as he listened, glancing at the aunt with a frustrated look.

"I'm just cooking a chicken for someone, what are you thinking?"

The woman smiled and said, "I was just trying to be helpful."

"By the way, what about my cousin that I told you about last time? What's your decision?"

"Why don't you settle things this Chinese New Year? You're not getting any younger."

"We'll see," Bai Yuan said, picking up the chicken and heading towards the kitchen.

The aunt was originally from the next village. After marrying into the village, she hadn't had many close friends over the years. Seeing that Bai Yuan was particularly capable, she wanted to introduce her cousin to him.

That way, I'll have someone to talk to in the future.

However, Bai Yuan, this man, whether he didn't like her cousin or what, never gave a clear answer.

Two hours later, Bai Yuan brought chicken soup into the room.

The aroma immediately spread, and the woman, who had been unconscious for more than ten hours, was now starving.

After Bai Yuan brought the chicken soup over, she began to eat it in large mouthfuls.

The bowl of soup was quickly emptied, and she ate all the chicken inside.

Bai Yuan cooked some chicken porridge for her.

After eating two bowls, my stomach was finally full.

I feel like I've regained a lot of energy.

"Thank you, Baiyuan. I didn't expect you to cook so well."

"I don't know how happy I would be if I could be your wife."

Shi Wu looked at Bai Yuan with a grin as she spoke.

Bai Yuan was no longer as shy as before.

My face is still a little red, but not as red as before.

"You city woman, why are you always making fun of me?"

Bai Yuan said this while clearing away the dishes.

"With my circumstances, what happiness could I possibly have if I married him?"

As he spoke, his gaze drifted towards Shi Wu.

This city woman is really beautiful, much prettier than all the women in the nearby villages.

She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

Especially her face, her skin looked very elastic, like a peeled egg.

I really wanted to pinch it with my hands.

"You cook well, and you're handsome and have a great physique."

"Baiyuan, you must be very good at hunting. I see a lot of animal skins hanging on your wall."

"So marrying you will definitely ensure I never have to worry about food or drink."

Shi Wu spoke earnestly, while examining the animal hides on the wall.

He took good care of each one, and although there was not much decent furniture in his room.

But he cleaned the room spotlessly.

The clothes were neatly folded, and everything was clean.

"Is having enough to eat and drink enough happiness?" Bai Yuan looked at the woman in front of him with some confusion.

Even when his cousin, who was from the neighbor's family, went on a blind date with him, she made all sorts of demands and offered all sorts of opinions.

But the woman from this city in front of me seems a bit silly.

Thinking of this, Bai Yuan couldn't help but walk to the bedside.

Place the back of your hand on the woman's forehead.

"What's wrong?" Shi Wu looked up at Bai Yuan, puzzled.

"Let me see if you've got a fever and it's made your head spin."

"Why are you talking so stupidly?"

As he was checking her temperature, the back of his hand touched the woman's forehead.

It's very smooth and tender.

I felt like if I pressed too hard, I could make her skin turn red.

But after realizing that she didn't have a fever, Bai Yuan quickly moved his hand away.

"I don't have a fever."

Shi Wu muttered to herself.

Then, unable to resist, he said something else.

Are you boiling water?

"Why do I hear a gurgling sound?"

Bai Yuan quickly took a step back.

He covered his heart with his hand, his cheeks flushing red once again.

He frowned, turned around, and walked out of the room.

That doesn't sound like water boiling at all.

It was the sound of his heart beating.

He didn't know why, but his heart was pounding so hard when the back of his hand lightly touched her skin.

"Pfft."
