It seemed like it had been a long time since I had laughed so heartily. As I laughed, tears welled up in my eyes.
"Baiyuan, go to the kitchen and get a piece of charcoal. Let's draw eyes on the snowman."
"Okay." Bai Yuan raised his hand to wipe away the tears from the corners of his eyes, then strode towards the kitchen.
Draw two eyes, a nose, and a mouth on the snowman.
It suddenly looked quite decent.
"Are your hands frozen? Come inside."
"You can also look out from the window."
As Bai Yuan spoke, he squatted down, picked up Shi Wu, and carried her into the house.
The snowman is facing the window; you can see it as soon as you open the window.
Bai Yuan, worried that she was cold, brought her a cup of hot water to hold in both hands.
"Baiyuan, shall we build another one tomorrow?"
"It's so lonely here with just one snowman. Let's build another one to keep it company."
Shi Wu looked expectantly at Bai Yuan standing beside her as she spoke.
"OK."
Are you still cold?
Bai Yuan's attention was entirely on Shi Wu.
Seeing that she was hunched over and realizing that she was a little cold, he quickly went to boil water to prepare a foot bath for her.
"Baiyuan, don't bother, I'm not cold."
Shi Wu wanted to stop her, but she couldn't move because of her injured foot.
"It's okay, you stay there and watch the snowman, the water will be ready in a bit."
Bai Yuan grinned, revealing a simple and honest smile.
Then he went to boil water on his own.
Bang!
A muffled thud.
Shi Wu turned around and realized that the head of the snowman she had just built had been knocked off.
"Oh, sorry, my hand slipped and the radish flew out of my hand."
The aunt next door grinned and looked at Shi Wu.
