Jiang Zhiliu looked at Wu Zhuang with a pitiful expression and nodded.
"I won't dare again, I really won't dare this time."
"Besides, with my legs like this, I can't run away even if I wanted to."
"Don't worry, Zhuang, I've thought it through."
"Meeting you is probably my destiny; this is where my life is all about."
"So I don't want to run anymore."
"Can we live a good life together from now on?"
As she spoke, Jiang Zhiliu reached out and put her arm around Wu Zhuang's arm.
She thought her words would move Wu Zhuang, but she didn't expect that Wu Zhuang would shake her hand away the next second.
He looked at Jiang Zhiliu with a disgusted expression.
"I don't believe you!"
"You're not trying to fool me!"
"Go take a shower now!"
"All I want right now is for you to give me a baby quickly!"
"Don't say anything else!"
Jiang Zhiliu lowered her head, picked up the clothes, and staggered toward the kitchen.
I filled a bucket with hot water and carried it unsteadily to the bathroom.
While I was washing, I felt an eye staring at me from the corner of the wall.
Just as she was about to take a closer look, the shadow moved away again.
In that instant, goosebumps appeared on Jiang Zhiliu's arms.
She quickly finished her shower and left the house.
I initially thought it was Wu Zhuang, but when I returned to the room, I saw that Wu Zhuang was already asleep in bed.
A chill ran down her spine.
Who was that person just now?
Could it be Wu Ziqiang?
But given Wu Ziqiang's personality, he probably would have barged in long ago.
The people in this village are terrifyingly cunning.
-
Bai Yuan got up early and built two snowmen at the door.
One of the snowmen is wearing a hat and has two drawn whiskers on its head.
The other snowman has red lips and big eyes.
They look like a pair.
One man and one woman.
When Shiwu woke up, she heard the sound of snow being shoveled outside.
She leaned on her cane and walked towards the window.
I opened the window and saw Bai Yuan playing with a snowman.
A warmth immediately filled her heart.
"Bai Yuan," Shi Wu called softly.
Bai Yuan looked up and grinned at her.
"It'll be ready soon."
"It looks really good!" Shi Wu said, giving him a thumbs up.
"If only we had a camera."
"I must take 180 photos."
Shi Wu couldn't help but sigh softly as she spoke.
Bai Yuan scratched his head somewhat awkwardly.
He has a cell phone, but it can only make and receive calls and send messages; it's a very old-fashioned one.
Most people in the village use this type as well.
This device has a loud sound and a strong signal, making it very suitable for use in mountain villages.
"Wait a minute, I'll go borrow a camera."
Bai Yuan suddenly remembered that the village chief's house seemed to have a camera.
He bought it for his son.
However, after his son went out to work, the house was left to gather dust.
"No need, Bai Yuan, you don't need to go!"
Shi Wu felt sorry for Bai Yuan, afraid that he would slip and fall on the snowy road.
Bai Yuan simply smiled and waved at her before continuing to walk briskly toward the village chief's house.
Inside the house.
Shi Wu stared blankly at the snowman. After waiting for a while, Bai Yuan still hadn't returned, so she leaned on the cane Bai Yuan had made and walked step by step toward the door.
The pain in my legs has lessened considerably today; Baiyuan's medicine is quite effective.
Shi Wu stood in the snow, leaning on her cane, as the cold wind whipped up fine snowflakes that pelted her face.
The two snowmen stood quietly in front of the door.
The scene was very peaceful.
"Why haven't they come back yet..." Shi Wu stomped her numb feet and looked toward the end of the village road.
A few barks came from afar, mixed with the crisp sound of snow breaking tree branches.
"Girl, don't stand in the wind. The wind in our snow village is too strong for you city folks to handle." Aunt Wu tucked the basin under her arm and revealed a smile with a missing front tooth.
"Your leg injury can't withstand the cold." As she spoke, her eyes kept glancing into the room. "Is Baiyuan home?"
"He's not here. He went to the village chief's house to borrow a camera," Shi Wu answered truthfully.
"Do you need to speak with him?"
Shi Wu thought the aunt looked quite friendly, so she chatted with her for a few minutes.
"Ask him if he has any more medicine. The tourist at my house had a high fever last night and it hasn't gotten better."
Aunt Wu sighed as she spoke.
"He'll be back soon," Shi Wu said, unable to resist asking Aunt Wu for more information.
"Auntie, how are the tourists we rescued from our village doing?"
Aunt Wu shook her head, followed by another sigh.
"Several are gone, but you're lucky; you only injured your leg."
"Now that the village roads are cut off and there's no medicine available, it's all a matter of who's the toughest and who's the most resilient."
As she spoke, Aunt Wu smiled at Shi Wu.
"Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. This road will be open sooner or later, and then you'll be able to go back."
Don't worry.
"When Baiyuan comes back, tell him that if there is any medicine left, please ask him to bring it to my house."
Shi Wu nodded.
Not long after Aunt Wu left, Yingzi, who lived next door, poked her head out.
He glanced at the two snowmen and rolled his eyes to the sky.
"What? You're not going to smash my snowman again, are you?"
Shi Wu couldn't help but retort.
In her previous life, she had also briefly looked at the script for the character Yingzi.
He's a character who likes to be sarcastic and quirky, but he never actually does anything to hurt anyone.
Why does it seem like things have gotten even worse in this life?
