Bai Ye walked over slowly and sat down beside the bed.
The maintenance worker who was packing up his tools didn't quite understand.
"They are not human beings. Miss Shi doesn't need to be so nice to them."
Shi Wu simply explained in a calm tone: "Any living being deserves respect."
As she spoke, she gently took Bai Ye's hand and stroked the scar on the back of his hand with heartache.

After listening to Shi Wu's words, the maintenance worker felt that it made sense and couldn't help but nodded.
