Chapter 106

On the rooftop of a tall building, the icy wind cut like blades across Qi Na's cheeks, yet she seemed oblivious, standing silently at the edge. Her gaze drifted forlornly to the distance, where Fairy Xin Ling and the others were immersed in a joyful atmosphere, chatting and laughing, their faces beaming with genuine smiles, their eyes sparkling with mutual understanding. Their cheerful voices mingled and echoed in the air, seemingly dispelling the rooftop's chill. Qi Na didn't want to stay there anymore. She hugged Fei Ling tightly and turned to go home.

At that moment, Jianpeng's sharp, cheetah-like eyes instantly spotted Qi Na leaving. He jolted like a firecracker, shouting at the top of his lungs, "Qi Na, are you leaving already?" His face flushed red, his eyes filled with urgency and displeasure. "Shu Yan's time penalty is because of you! Don't you want to stay and help us figure something out?" His shout, like a booming bell, shattered the relaxed atmosphere, exploding in the air and instantly drawing everyone's attention. As if pulled by the same rope, everyone's gaze turned to Qi Na, their eyes filled with surprise and confusion.

Qi Na was disgusted by this kind of moral blackmail. She stopped, turned around, and a flash of anger appeared in her eyes, a spark that seemed to ignite the surrounding air. She looked at Wang Mo, Jian Peng, Chen Sisi, and the others with a serious expression, her brows furrowed, her lips trembling slightly, her tone filled with suppressed dissatisfaction: "First of all, this is his own choice." Her voice was low but powerful, each word seemingly squeezed out from between her teeth. "Shu Yan is a user of time magic. Doesn't he know that some established histories and rules cannot be touched? He's doing this simply to get me back into your group." She paused, took a deep breath, her anger intensifying. "Secondly, I really don't want him to bring my deceased relatives back. My life has finally returned to peace; I'm settled and don't need this change. I really don't know where his self-righteous idea comes from." Having said that, Qi Na took another deep breath, as if trying to suppress her anger. Her chest heaved violently, and then she resolutely turned to leave again.

Just then, Fairy Xinling's apologetic voice rang out again: "Qina, thank you. I'm very sorry for not giving the Holy Water Dew to the Queen. I'm so sorry about Feiling." Fairy Xinling looked at Qina's back with a guilty expression, her eyes full of sincerity and self-reproach. Qina stopped, but didn't turn around. Her back stiffened slightly, and she said coldly, "Fairy Xinling, don't just say nice things. Feiling won't accept your apology." Her tone was icy and devoid of warmth. "You didn't treat Feiling well when you created her. You only treated her as a tool, without giving her true life and emotions. If I asked you now to revive Feiling with a fragment of her soul, you definitely wouldn't agree. So don't say anything if you're not sincere. I don't want to hear it anymore." Her hands clenched unconsciously, her knuckles turning white from the force.

Hearing Qi Na's blunt accusation, Fairy Xinling's face darkened, as if a dark cloud had clouded her once gentle countenance, and the light in her eyes dimmed. She awkwardly explained, "Qi Na, it's not that I'm unwilling to lend it, but since the soul fragment returned last time, it hasn't fully recovered, and I really can't use large-scale spells right now. I'm helpless." Her eyes darted away, avoiding Qi Na's gaze, and her hands fidgeted nervously with the hem of her dress. Qi Na didn't respond, but simply lifted her foot slightly and walked towards the stairs.

Seeing that Qi Na was about to leave despite the shopkeeper's orders, Jian Peng was furious, his face flushed red like an enraged bull, veins bulging on his forehead. His eyes widened, seemingly spitting fire, and he loudly chanted a spell: "Ye Luoli magic, roots and stems connected, plant! My friend, trap her!" He stretched his hands forward, his fingers pointing forcefully at Qi Na. As the spell ended, the ground behind Jian Peng suddenly trembled violently, dust billowing up. Two thick vines, as thick as an adult's arm, rose from the ground, each bearing a huge, emerald-green leaf. They resembled two enraged pythons, radiating a dangerous aura, and with a whistling sound, they swiftly attacked Qi Na, their momentum seemingly intent on devouring her.

And what about Qi Na? She had actually heard Jian Peng casting his spell long ago. A slight, disdainful smile played on her lips, a smile laced with mockery of Jian Peng's actions. She quickly focused her mind, retrieving the Clow Card "Reflect" from her system space, the entire process executed flawlessly. Just as the spell from the two vines was about to touch her, Qi Na abruptly opened her eyes, her gaze sharpening, a confident glint in her eyes. Without hesitation, she used the Clow Card to deflect Jian Peng's attack. Upon contact with the powerful reflected force, the two vines were sent flying back as if hit by cannonballs, crashing heavily to the ground, raising a cloud of dust. The surrounding air vibrated from the powerful impact, creating a booming sound, like a symphony for the conflict.

Wang Mo and Chen Sisi stared wide-eyed at the sight, their faces filled with astonishment, their mouths agape, their eyes brimming with disbelief. They exchanged a glance, both seeing shock in each other's eyes. They simply couldn't understand how Qi Na could use magic again without the doll. It was utterly unbelievable to them, like witnessing the sun rise in the west, shattering their understanding of magic. Qi Na, however, didn't see the need to explain. She simply ran away like the wind, leaving only a receding figure that grew smaller and smaller under their gaze until it disappeared from sight, leaving behind only silence and the astonishment of the crowd.
