Mandora stood in the mirror space, her cold gaze as deep as a frozen pool. Her thoughts raced like intricate gears, forming what she believed to be a flawless plan. A smug, cunning smile played on her lips before she didn't even glance at Xin Ling. In a flash, she transformed into a black shadow and swiftly left the mirror space, her resolute departure seemingly proclaiming her autocratic will.
Xin Ling was left alone in the mirror space, her eyes filled with panic. Her delicate face was distorted with panic, and her lips trembled slightly. "What should I do? What should I do?" she kept shouting in her heart.
Xin Ling, distraught after leaving the mirror space, returned to the doll shop. The shop's dim, soft lighting couldn't warm her panicked heart. Like a mechanical puppet, she walked to the control panel, her eyes vacant, muttering to herself, "How can I save Shu Yan? Do I really have to take her out to save Shu Yan? Is this the only way? Do I really have to awaken her?" Her brows furrowed, her eyes filled with struggle and pain, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead. After a moment's thought, Xin Ling seemed to summon immense courage, took a deep breath, and slowly walked to a wall. She raised her hand, chanting, "Life's affairs, blend with its light, blend with its dust, Ye Luoli Magic Light and Dark Pavilion, open!" As the incantation ended, the wall emitted a low rumble, slowly sliding to the side, revealing a mysterious hidden space within.
In an instant, a beam of light as intense as the sun shot out from within—the light emitted by the Fairy of Light, Bai Guangying. The light was so dazzling that Xinling instinctively shielded her eyes with her hand, but she was still unable to open them properly and could only take several steps back, muttering repeatedly, "This light…it's too powerful." After calming herself, Xinling cast a spell: "Ye Luoli magic, weaken the light!" The light gradually softened, and she wiped the sweat from her forehead, letting out a long sigh of relief.
Xin Ling gently picked up the box containing Bai Guangying and placed it, box and all, on the operating table. Looking at Bai Guangying, her eyes filled with guilt, she sighed deeply and began to plead with her: "Fairy of Light, I was always afraid that the Queen would gather the power of all six fairies to open the gate to destruction, so I hardened my heart and hid you in slumber, preventing you from choosing a master and gaining life. I know this is very unfair to you, but I really had no other choice. Now, to save and protect the Ye Luoli warrior Shu Yan, it's time for you to wake up. I'm truly sorry, Fairy of Light, I hope you can forgive me. Everything I've done is to protect the human world. If you wake up, you'll understand me, won't you?"
"Wow, it's a doll shop. All these gaudy, childish little girl toys!" A sudden, defiant voice shattered the shop's tranquility. Xin Ling frowned upon hearing the voice, a flash of disgust crossing her eyes. She put down the white doll she was holding and strode out. Before her stood a sleazy-looking boy. His hair was somewhat disheveled, yet possessed a unique rebellious air. He wore fashionable, slightly exaggerated clothing and sparkling earrings. He toyed with an exquisite hourglass, the sand turning in his hand, refracting a mysterious light. His eyes revealed a cynical attitude.
The boy curled his lip, raising his voice a few decibels, filled with dissatisfaction and provocation: "Your shop looked so bright outside just now. With the lights on, there must be people there. You could easily serve me. What, you're not going to make money? Are you stupid, shopkeeper?" As he spoke, he tossed the hourglass in his hand high into the air and easily caught it with his index finger. The action seemed casual, yet it exuded a kind of boastful confidence. He even deliberately raised an eyebrow at Xin Ling.
Xin Ling's disgust for the rude boy intensified. She said sternly, "I'm sorry, we're closed for the day. Please don't touch our things. We don't welcome people like you who lack manners. Please leave immediately." With that, she reached out and demanded the hourglass from the boy's hand in a firm tone.
"Here you go." Gao Taiming snorted disdainfully, clearly displeased with this tactless person. He thought to himself, "Hmph, what's with the airs? I don't care." He used a little trick, not placing the hourglass in the shopkeeper's hand, but deliberately spreading his fingers exaggeratedly while it was still some distance away, causing the hourglass to fall directly. The hourglass fell straight down like a shooting star, and he crossed his arms, wanting to see Xin Ling humiliated.
Seeing this, Xin Ling was shocked and quickly used magic: "Ye Luoli Magic!" At the critical moment, the hourglass froze in mid-air just as it was about to hit the ground. Xin Ling rushed over, caught the hourglass, glared at Gao Taiming, and shouted, "You've gone too far! If you break this hourglass, can you afford to pay for it?" "Why are you so serious, big sister? It's nothing special, just a broken hourglass. Ah, I'm just browsing." After saying that, Gao Taiming, as if he didn't see Xin Ling's ugly expression, swaggered into the store following the signs, humming an unknown tune.
"Wait, you can't just go in like that." Xin Ling put the hourglass on the table and hurriedly went into the room, her eyes full of vigilance. "Big sister is too serious, she'll age quickly." Gao Taiming replied without turning his head, his tone full of teasing and disdain.
As soon as Gao Taiming stepped inside, he was captivated by the softly glowing white doll. His eyes lit up instantly, as if he had discovered a rare treasure, and he exclaimed excitedly, "Wow, what's this? It's so cool!" He hurried towards the control panel, his steps so rapid he almost bumped into the shelf next to him. He kept muttering, "The fairy of light is glowing! This is amazing!" Xin Ling, who had rushed over, was astonished by the sight. She exclaimed, "This doll seems to be glowing! Is there a light inside? Don't touch it!" Gao Taiming, his eyes gleaming with curiosity, completely ignored Xin Ling's words and reached out to pick up the doll to examine it, saying, "I'm just looking, it won't hurt. Don't be so stingy."
