Chapter 108

The Ice Princess, somewhat weary, passed through the mirror passage and returned to her dreamlike palace—the Ice Crystal Palace.

The Ice Princess moved slowly through the palace with light, quick steps. She stretched out her slender fingers and gently touched the surrounding ice crystals, feeling the familiar chill. This chill was like her soulmate, always accompanying her and comforting her.

Everything inside the palace remained the same. However, the Ice Princess knew that everything had changed. She used to be so pure and immaculate, like a flower on a high mountain, untouchable. She was the ruler of the Ice Crystal Palace, a revered figure in the fairy realm. But now, for the sake of returning home and freedom, she had actually lowered her proud attitude towards Mandora.

She bowed her head to Mandora, and every time she recalled that scene, her heart felt as if it were being pierced by a thousand ice spikes, the pain unbearable. She felt that she was no longer the proud, confident, and all-powerful Ice Princess she once was. Especially that nightmare, which haunted her like a ghost.

In her dream, the Water Prince personally knocked her off the glacier. In that instant, she saw the resolute look in his eyes, and also the surprise and pity in the eyes of the humans and Luo Li. The feeling of being betrayed by the person she trusted most and losing face in front of everyone was etched into her memory. She vowed never to let such humiliation ever happen again.

With a flick of her sleeve, the Ice Princess's white skirt billowed in the wind as she slowly flew to her throne. She sat down, feeling utterly drained of energy, longing only to rest. She attempted to gather her divine power to create an impenetrable barrier around the palace, protecting her home and preventing outsiders from entering.

She closed her eyes, concentrated, and her magical power flickered at her fingertips. However, the light was so faint that it gradually dimmed and disappeared. The Ice Princess frowned, her eyes filled with worry and helplessness. She knew that her power was far less than before, which filled her with unprecedented panic. She kept thinking in her mind how to regain her strength and how to prevent herself from disappearing from this world.

Just then, a deafening roar shattered the silence of the Ice Crystal Palace. The sound, like a death knell, exploded in the Ice Princess's ears, making her heart tremble. She instantly opened her eyes, a flicker of panic in them. Without a second thought, she hastily summoned the Ice Lotus. The Ice Lotus, shimmering with a brilliant blue light, slowly rose, carrying the Ice Princess towards the source of the sound.

Passing through that beautiful yet frigid ice and snow garden, the Ice Princess saw the scene before her, and her eyes widened in shock and sorrow. In the distance, the snow-capped icebergs were collapsing at an alarming rate.

"How could this be! My glacier has collapsed so badly while I was away!" The Ice Princess's voice trembled. She now completely believed that Mandora's prophecy and her nightmare were gradually becoming a reality, and she was so powerless to do anything but watch it all unfold.

"Ye Luoli magic, ice flutters, like snow crystals, ice and snow, stop melting, zero to freezing point!" The Ice Princess stretched out her hands, casting her spell with all her might. Fairy power surged from her body like a torrent, transforming into dazzling blue rays of light that flew towards the collapsing ice and snow.

Wherever the light touched, the ice and snow seemed to be enchanted, ceasing their melting and collapse, as if time itself had frozen in that moment. However, the Ice Princess knew in her heart that this was only a temporary relief, and her power could not maintain this state for long.

It was like trying to hold back a collapsing boulder with a thin thread—utterly futile. Her brow furrowed even more, her eyes filled with despair and helplessness. Just as the Ice Princess was lost in deep thought, desperately searching for a way to save the glacier, a mysterious figure suddenly appeared in her sight.

It was a fairy dressed in a deep black leather coat, inlaid with silver leather armor that gleamed coldly in the snow. Underneath, she wore a pale purple robe that billowed in the wind, adding to her mystery. A reddish-brown cloak draped over her back fluttered in the cold wind like a flag. She had long, silver-gray hair that danced wildly in the wind like dancing silver snakes. (Searched on Baidu)

His face was cold and stern, his eyes deep and mysterious, as if concealing endless secrets. He arrived here through the black hole, stopping a few meters away in the opposite direction from the Ice Princess. He slightly raised his head, looked at the Ice Princess, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. Then he slowly spoke, "Ice Princess, it's been a long time. How have you been?" His voice was deep and magnetic, yet carried an unfathomable meaning.

Upon seeing the uninvited Prince Li Hui, who had barged into her Ice Crystal Palace, Princess Ice felt a surge of anger. Her eyes turned icy cold, as if capable of freezing everything in the world. She coldly said to the Prince, "I'm fine. Li Hui, what brings you to my Ice Crystal Palace instead of staying in your Dark Universe City?"

"And please put on your glasses and take a good look at where I am!" The Ice Princess's tone was full of dissatisfaction and accusation.

A pang of sadness welled up inside her as she pondered, "Have I become so weak? Even a random person can so easily break into my palace. This place was supposed to be my sanctuary, but now..." A trace of desolation flashed in her eyes, a sense of helplessness and sorrow about her current situation.

"Ice Princess, Ice Princess, Ice Princess, what are you thinking about?" The cold, deep voice of Prince Li Hui rang out again, interrupting the Ice Princess's thoughts. His voice seemed to possess a magical power, capable of penetrating the soul. The Ice Princess trembled slightly, snapping out of her reverie. She looked at the Prince with some apology, but her eyes remained cold, and said, "Excuse me, Your Majesty, could you please repeat what you just said?"
