Chapter 114 Gao Taiming's chance encounter with Wen Qian

The next day, the school bell rang as crisply as ever, its clear sound echoing in every corner of the campus, like cheerful birds announcing the end of the day's classes and breaking the campus's original tranquility.

Unlike her classmates, Wenxi didn't go home. Holding a small mirror, she looked at her beautiful reflection and said to Qingyin beside her, "Hmph, Wang Mo and the others must have secretly run off to Fairy Realm without telling me! That's outrageous!" Wenxi's face flushed red with anger, like a ripe apple or a burning flame. Her eyes blazed with fury and jealousy, sparks that seemed ready to burst forth and incinerate everything in their path. She bit her lip hard, leaving deep teeth marks and drawing blood, but she didn't notice. She muttered to herself, "Shuyan, you wait for me. I won't let you stay a stone statue forever. I have the power to save you. I'll show you I'm much stronger than Wang Mo and the others." With that, she took a deep breath, preparing to chant the incantation to open the passage.

Just then, Qingyin, who had been following her like a shadow and remained invisible, suddenly spoke, interrupting her spellcasting. Just as Wenqian was about to chant the incantation, Qingyin's terrified voice boomed in her ears like thunder: "Master, are you insane? You're betraying the Queen! All for that Shuyan, that Ye Luoli warrior who has no regard for you? Do you know what this means? This is a dead end!" Qingyin's voice trembled, each word seemingly squeezed out from between her teeth, filled with endless fear and worry. Her voice echoed in the air, as if shattering the surrounding atmosphere.

Wenxi seemed to have been provoked, turning her head abruptly with lightning speed. The rage in her eyes almost devoured Qingyin, a raging inferno threatening to engulf her. "Shut up! You useless thing. It's none of your business what I do. Shuyan is just being misled. Once I save him, he'll understand my goodness." Wenxi's voice was low and filled with anger, like the rumble of thunder before a storm, each word carrying a powerful sense of oppression.

Qingyin struggled desperately, her body trembling like a leaf in the wind, her voice trembling with sobs: "Master, you know the Queen's methods. Once she discovers your betrayal, we will all be doomed! You can't sacrifice us all for someone who doesn't love you." Her tears rolled down her cheeks like broken beads, splashing onto the ground in tiny teardrops.

"Hmph!" Wen Qian sneered, her laughter like a cold knife. "You think you know anything about grabbing Qingyin? What's the point of having the whole world if I can't get Shuyan? If you dare say another word, I'll tear you to pieces right now and make you disappear forever!" Wen Qian's eyes revealed a kind of madness, a reckless determination.

Qingyin cried, tears streaming down her face. "Master, please, don't do this! We have other ways. Don't take this path to ruin!" Her eyes were filled with pleading, hoping that Wenxi would change her mind.

Wenxi ignored her completely, her eyes growing increasingly frantic: "Don't even think about stopping me, my mind is made up. Even if it means going against the whole world, I will save Shuyan." With that, she tightened her grip, and Qingyin's face turned deathly pale, like a blank sheet of paper, her lips losing all color. She dared not utter a sound, silently enduring the pain and fear.

Wenxi's hands were like iron clamps, making Qingyin unable to move, while her other hand held the mirror steadily. "Ye Luoli magic, open the mirror door and take me to the fairyland."

At that moment, unbeknownst to Wenxi, a series of light footsteps were slowly approaching her from behind. The footsteps had a casual rhythm, as if someone was taking a leisurely stroll, each step landing lightly, yet they seemed particularly abrupt in the tense atmosphere.

"Ha, so you have a doll too." Gao Taiming's nonchalant voice suddenly reached Wen Qian's ears, like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, breaking the tension. Wen Qian was startled, her body jolting as if electrocuted, almost dropping the mirror in her hand. Her heart pounded, as if it would leap out of her throat. She quickly turned around, a flash of fear in her eyes, but when she saw it was Gao Taiming, her expression changed to wariness. "Who? Gao Taiming? What are you doing here? What do you want?" Wen Qian's voice was sharp, her eyes filled with suspicion.

"You mean you also have a doll? Do you have a doll too?" Wenxi asked in surprise, her eyes wide as if she had seen something unbelievable, filled with curiosity and doubt. Her gaze swept over Gao Taiming like a scanner, trying to find the answer in him. She became increasingly curious about this transfer student, especially about whether he had a doll, a question that kept growing in her mind.

Gao Taiming didn't speak, only a slight upturn of his lips revealed a carefree smile, a smile tinged with mystery, like a thin veil, making it impossible to see through. Immediately afterward, the Fairy of Light flew out from beside him, radiating a soft yet dazzling light, like a small sun illuminating the surrounding dim corners. The Fairy of Light circled Gao Taiming gracefully once, as if displaying her beauty; her figure was elegant, like a butterfly in flight, before flying towards Wen Qian.

The Light Fairy flew to Wen Qian, tilted her head, and looked at Qing Yin, who was being held tightly by Wen Qian, and asked in her ethereal voice, "Who are you? Are you a Ye Luoli fairy? You look a little disheveled. Did you quarrel with your master?" The Light Fairy's voice was as clear and melodious as a mountain spring, flowing in the air.
