Chapter 118

Previously, Qi Na had taken the stairs to Fairyland, but this time, because of Huang Shi's large size, she could take the elevator. However, Huang Shi looked rather clumsy entering the elevator. His massive body squeezed and weaved in the narrow elevator entrance, each movement appearing extremely difficult, muttering complaints under his breath, like a giant beast trapped in a cage, angry yet helpless. Qi Na stood on the elevator, a gentle breeze caressing her face. The soft touch was like a lover's tender caress, causing her to close her eyes slightly, immersing herself in this pleasant moment. She was like a bird soaring freely in the sky, enjoying the gentle caress of the wind and the vastness of the sky. The surrounding mountains, layer upon layer, were like giant shields erected by the earth, protecting this mysterious land. The clouds drifted lightly in the air like gauze, dreamlike and ethereal, like a painting in a fairyland, every stroke full of poetry, intoxicating and mesmerizing, as if one were in a magical and beautiful world.

The elevator sped forward. Looking at the small pavilion before him, Huang Shi's disdainful expression returned. He sneered, "Hmph, Xin Ling hid the passage in this mountaintop pavilion. No wonder Mandora couldn't find it. The protection is truly tight, like putting heavy shackles on a treasure, making it difficult for anyone to easily access it." Huang Shi wanted to enter the pavilion, but found it too small. His tall frame could only manage a difficult climb inside. His face was full of displeasure, his brows furrowed tightly like two fighting caterpillars, his eyes flashing with dissatisfaction and irritation. But Qi Na and Fei Ling had already gone ahead, so he could only grit his teeth and climb, his appearance both comical and helpless, a stark contrast to his previous arrogance. Inside the passage, just like in the original story, Huang Shi turned his words into small stones and handed them to Qi Na. A barely perceptible tenderness flickered in his eyes—his seriousness about this mission and his expectations for the future. After all, this was an important entrustment, carrying his hopes.

On the other side, Wang Mo and his companions were being chased by a group of monsters on the road to Still Water Lake. The scene was utterly chaotic. The monsters lunged forward, baring their fangs and claws. Some resembled ferocious wolves, their eyes gleaming with an eerie green light, baring their teeth and letting out chilling roars; others were like enormous spiders, their long, hairy legs moving swiftly across the ground as if they could overcome any obstacle; still others looked like demons crawling out of the depths of hell, exuding a sinister and terrifying aura. Their roars echoed through the valley like thunder, causing the earth to tremble slightly. Wang Mo and his group were in a flurry of activity, encountering numerous mishaps. Gao Taiming, enduring his physical discomfort, his handsome face contorted slightly with pain, sweat pouring from his forehead, still maintained a resolute gaze, like the brightest North Star in the night sky. He and the Fairy of Light cast spells together. The Fairy of Light was like a torch in the darkness, her dazzling light illuminating the surrounding darkness, like the sun breaking through the clouds. When the light shone on the little monsters, some of them scattered in fright, just like mice fleeing in panic when they saw a cat.

But as soon as they reached the chosen spot, Gao Taiming collapsed, unable to support himself. Bai Guangying was frantic; her beautiful face instantly filled with terror, tears welling in her eyes like sparkling gems. Like an ant on a hot plate, she frantically shook Gao Taiming's body, her voice trembling with sobs, as if the world were ending: "Ming, what's wrong? Don't scare me!" Her voice trembled, filled with helplessness and worry, echoing in the air, allowing everyone to feel her inner fear. Hearing the cries, everyone gathered around. Chen Sisi, her face full of worry, her gentle eyes now only showing concern for Gao Taiming. She quickly knelt down, gently taking Gao Taiming's hand, trying to transfer her warmth to him, hoping to give him some strength.

In a moment of quick thinking, the Fairy of Light grasped Lori's hand tightly with her long, slender fingers, her eyes filled with pleading: "Lori, can you save Ming? He's injured. Your healing abilities are sure to work. You're like an angel; you can definitely pull him back from his pain. You're our last hope."

Loli is kind and warm-hearted. Her cute little face is full of determination, and she responds without hesitation: "I'll give it a try." She casts a spell: "Ye Luoli Magic, Heart of Love, Spirit of Love, Heart Light Powder, Healing."

Pink magical energy, like a soft ribbon, slowly floated out of her hand. The ribbon seemed to have a life of its own, twisting its supple body in the air and gently drifting towards Gao Taiming's body, enveloping him in a warm pink light.

Gao Taiming finally woke up, a faint smile appearing on his weak face. He looked at everyone and first comforted Bai Guangying: "Guangying, I'm fine. It's just an old ailment. Don't worry, look at me, I'm perfectly fine." Although his voice was weak, it still carried that untamed spirit, like a free wind that refused to be bound even in pain.

He then said to Chen Sisi, "Squad leader, I have to go back. I need to go home and recuperate. You guys find someone to take me." There was a hint of helplessness in his eyes, after all, he didn't want to leave at this crucial moment.

Wang Mo, Chen Sisi, Shu Yan, and Jian Peng discussed who should escort Gao Taiming. Chen Sisi was getting a headache from the blue peacock's constant chatter. The peacock's clear voice kept repeating in her ear, "Master, I don't want to go to the Ice Crystal Palace." The voice was like a curse, leaving Chen Sisi utterly helpless, feeling like her head was about to explode.

Chen Sisi said helplessly, "I'll take him back." Shu Yan looked at Jianpeng, "Do you want to come along?" Jianpeng was very curious and longed to see the Ice Princess. His energetic face was full of anticipation, like a child about to explore a mysterious treasure. He shook his head and refused, "I still want to see the Ice Princess." So Chen Sisi and Gao Taiming went back, while Wang Mo and the others continued to Still Water Lake.

Wang Mo was extremely anxious. Her impulsive nature was like a wild horse that had broken free of its reins. She jumped into the lake without thinking. She missed the Water Prince so much, as if the Water Prince was the entire meaning of her life.

But she forgot the holy water dew had disappeared. As soon as she entered the water, the lake water, like a ferocious monster, relentlessly rushed towards her, instantly engulfing her in its icy cold. She struggled to breathe, feeling her life slowly ebbing away, like a candle flickering in the wind, ready to be extinguished at any moment. Just as she was about to be swallowed by the lake water…

The Water Prince ultimately saved her, descending from the darkness like a knight protecting a princess. His handsome face was expressionless, but a barely perceptible hint of tension flashed in his eyes. His movements were swift and agile; he gently lifted Wang Mo and used magic to fly towards the shore.

After regaining consciousness, Wang Mo looked at the Water Prince with teary eyes, tears streaming down her face like a broken string of pearls. Like a helpless child, she pleaded, "Water Prince, could you ask the Ice Princess to help suppress Shu Yan's time punishment?"

Her voice trembled slightly, filled with hope and pleading; every word seemed to be squeezed from the depths of her heart. Her eyes were full of concern for Shu Yan and dependence on Prince Shui. Prince Shui looked at the pitiful girl before him and felt pity. His once cold heart seemed to be warmed by the sun, and he agreed without hesitation. Afterwards, Prince Shui led Wang Mo and the others towards the Ice Crystal Palace.
