Chapter 120 Back to the Doll Shop

Seeing the situation worsening, Jasmine quickly regained her composure with her clever mind. A decisive glint flashed in her eyes as she calmly suggested, "Let's go back to the human world and find Fairy Xinling. She's knowledgeable and experienced; perhaps she can find a way to save Shuyan. Besides, the fairy realm is so dangerous right now; staying here isn't a solution for us."

After a moment's thought, everyone agreed that it made sense. After all, the Queen's various monsters were currently hunting them down in the Fairy Realm, posing a great danger that could devour them at any moment. With Liangcai's reassurance, Jianpeng gradually calmed down, and his heaving chest slowly regained its composure.

Jianpeng took a deep breath, hoisted Shuyan onto his back, and his resolute eyes seemed to tell everyone that they must save Shuyan no matter what. Then, he and everyone walked towards the human world, their figures gradually disappearing into the mist of the fairyland.

In a doll shop in the human world, Xin Ling sat at an ancient desk, intently flipping through a mysterious contract book. The surrounding air seemed to freeze, with only the soft sound of her slender fingers turning the pages.

Suddenly, her keen senses detected something amiss at the exit of the passage, like a barely perceptible ripple on a calm lake. Her star-like eyes shone brightly as she quickly looked in that direction, her gaze filled with vigilance and curiosity: "Someone's back?"

Qi Na, dressed in a neat school uniform, appeared like an envoy returning from a mysterious world, carrying Fei Ling as she flew out of the mirror. A hint of fatigue lingered on her delicate face, but her eyes shone with the joy of success. Xin Ling's eyes flashed with surprise, like seeing a ray of light in the darkness: "Qi Na? And Fei Ling? Qi Na, did you succeed?"

Qi Na didn't answer. Her deep eyes were fixed on the exit, her lips trembling slightly with nervousness. She asked softly, "He didn't come?" Just then, a strangely shaped stone slowly floated out of the mirror. The stone was oddly shaped, with a beautiful purple crystal embedded in its center. Fei Ling, always mischievous, couldn't help but widen her eyes upon seeing the stone, her gaze sparkling with curiosity and amusement. She teased, "He's not even a doll, yet he's turned into such a strange stone. This is really interesting, like a mysterious object from outer space."

Xin Ling was horrified. Her beautiful face instantly drained of color. She pointed a slender finger at the stone and said in a trembling voice, "This is the Desolate Stone! How could you bring it to the human world? What a disaster this will bring to the human world!"

Qi Na remained composed, raising her chin slightly and looking directly into Xin Ling's eyes with a resolute gaze: "Fairy Xin Ling, there's nothing I can do about it. Huang Shi helped me and Fei Ling, and that was the condition for Fei Ling's resurrection. You were unwilling to help me before, so I had no choice but to make a deal with him. It's fair, and I can't break my promise."

I know that Huangshi might be in danger in the human world, but I can't just stand by and watch Feiling disappear." Zina's stubbornness and courage were on full display at this moment, like a warrior who bravely marches forward for her beliefs.

Xinling was speechless for a moment. She opened her mouth but didn't know what to say. Feiling, on the other hand, laughed heartlessly. Her silvery laughter echoed in the doll shop: "Haha, since he's turned into stone, if we don't let him find an owner, he'll be a stone forever! Who would make a contract with a stone? That's a really fun idea."

Though the desolate stone could not move, its heart burned with rage, its powerful soul roaring furiously within the stone. This fake fairy he had saved was so ungrateful! He longed to break free of the stone's restraints and teach this ungrateful creature a lesson. He could only emit a blinding light from his stone heart, a light as dazzling as an exploding sun, attempting to attract the attention of those around him.

Qi Na quickly stopped Fei Ling. Her gentle face turned serious, and she said solemnly, "Fei Ling, you can't do this. Mr. Huang Shi is our savior. We should be grateful. He trusts us so much. We can't treat him like this. Without him, you would never be able to stay by my side again."

Seeing her master's serious expression, Fei Ling realized she had made a mistake. She immediately lowered her head, her smile vanishing completely, and apologized softly like a child who had done something wrong: "I'm sorry, Master, I know I was wrong." Her ability to admit and correct her mistake made this quirky fairy even more adorable.

Qi Na handed the barren stone to Little Stone with such gentleness that it was as if she were entrusting a precious treasure to him. After handing it over to Xin Ling, she was about to leave when the contract suddenly shone brightly, its light like dazzling fireworks illuminating the entire doll shop.

Within the light, images of Chen Sisi, Blue Peacock, Fairy of Light, and Gao Taiming appeared. In the image, Chen Sisi's face was streaked with tears, which streamed down her face like broken beads. She tightly embraced Gao Taiming, her frail body seemingly trying to give him strength.

The Light Fairy stood anxiously to the side, her beautiful wings flapping incessantly, as if venting her inner unease. The Blue Peacock was struggling to cast a spell on the contract; her multicolored feathers shone even brighter in the light, and beads of sweat covered her forehead, indicating the urgency of the situation.

When Chen Sisi saw Xin Ling, it was like seeing her last straw. She cried and begged for help: "Shopkeeper, please save Gao Taiming! His condition is terrible, like a small boat about to sink in a storm. We just couldn't pass the contract verification. You have to help us! We can't lose him."

Xin Ling calmed herself down first. She quickly put away the Stone Words given to her by Huang Shi, then looked at Qi Na and Fei Ling with a hint of pleading in her eyes: "You two stay here for now. We might need your help later. The situation is critical, and we must stick together."

Qi Na saw through Xin Ling's intentions and understood, but still stubbornly said, "I can stay, but the conflict between us isn't so easily resolved. However, for everyone's sake, I'll put aside my prejudices for now."

Xin Ling said no more. She focused her mind and used magic to connect with the contract. Holding her key-staff in her hand, she pointed it at the book, chanting incantations, and said to the Light Fairy in a calm tone, "Have Gao Taiming and you put your handprints on the contract. After that, I will send you to the pavilion by elevator so that you can return to the human world. Only then can I try to save him. This is the only way right now, so you must hurry."

The Fairy of Light, Bai Guangying, was frantic with worry. Her beautiful face was filled with anxiety; she didn't want to lose the master who had given her freedom and independence. She hurriedly flew over, grabbed Gao Taiming's weak hand, and her eyes shone with determination. Together, they pressed their handprints onto the contract. After scanning, the contract emitted a soft light, indicating that passage was permitted.

Following Xin Ling's instructions, Chen Sisi and the others returned to the human world. Xin Ling immediately went to check on Gao Taiming's condition. She gently placed her hand on his forehead, her brow furrowed, and said gravely, "His condition is critical. He must be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. There's nothing I can do. I hope he can pull through." With that, she used magic to send Gao Taiming to the hospital. The magical light, like a path to hope, carried Gao Taiming away. Bai Guangying, not wanting to stay in the doll shop, also left with him.
