Inside the Mirror Palace of the Fairy Realm, a suffocating, resentful atmosphere permeated the air, like the deathly silence before a storm. Mandora, like a defeated rooster, disheveled and covered in dust, was teleported back to her palace with her head drooping and heavy steps.
Filled with resentment, as if a raging fire capable of melting steel was burning in her chest, she shouted in a fit of rage, her sharp voice echoing throughout the empty palace: "Damn it, those leaders of the Lingxi Pavilion are really bored and have nothing better to do than meddle in other people's business! They actually let that brat Wang Mo find the so-called power of love."
The human world was on the verge of despair, yet such profound, intense, and inexhaustible love still existed. Their hearts should have been riddled with holes by darkness, rotting into a pool of mud, becoming even darker. Hmph, that's impossible! How could I lose like this!
"Alas," a clear, cold sigh, like a tranquil spring, drifted over, as if a sharp, cold light had pierced the night sky, instantly making Mandora's hair stand on end, and she became as alert as a frightened bird.
Her body was tense, like a ferocious beast encountering an enemy. Her muscles were taut, and her eyes were wide open with vigilance. Her sharp gaze swept around the palace like a searchlight as she shouted, "Who is it? Get out here for me, Queen! Don't hide there like a cowardly rat."
"Mandora, it's me." The Ice Princess appeared as if she were an ice fairy descending from the sky, her figure as light as a willow catkin in the wind, gracefully standing on the ice lotus, slowly revealing herself.
Her face was aloof, like a cold moon on a cold night, revealing a sharp and calm insight that seemed to see through everything. Her eyes held a profound depth that had seen through the vicissitudes of life and remained undisturbed. When she spoke, she was neither humble nor arrogant, and her words were clear and logical.
He went straight to the point: "You've got the point wrong. How could those guys from the Lingxi Pavilion let you wreak havoc on the human world? You've probably forgotten that half of their Pavilion Masters only got their positions by relying on the help of humans."
"Furthermore, why are you so stubbornly fixated on whether the human heart is light or darkness? Just look at the current state of the fairy realm. No matter what the human heart is like, isn't the fairy realm still like a frail old man, slowly heading towards its demise?" Her words revealed her exceptional intelligence, calmness, and rationality.
Mandora was jolted awake by these words, as if a bright light had cleaved her chaotic mind. The look of regret and resentment on her face faded, replaced by shame. She said sincerely, "Thank you, Ice Princess. I was bewitched. Tell me, what brings you to my palace?"
"While you and those Ye Luoli warriors were locked in a tense standoff, I unleashed a seven-day blizzard in Qingxi Gorge with earth-shattering power, capable of freezing the heavens and the earth. I need you to use your divine power to reinforce the ice plate when necessary, so that it doesn't break easily and ruin the plan."
Also, you must keep an eye on your dear sister and not let her squander or waste her energy. You should be aware of her increasingly fragile health; excessive exertion could kill her.
After speaking, the Ice Princess raised her hand and her immortal power surged forth, transforming into a crystalline stream of light. She channeled a bit of her immortal power into Mandora, then gracefully moved away, her every move exuding elegance and composure.
But as she turned away, she missed Mandora's unrestrained, arrogant laughter after she learned that she had unleashed the blizzard. The laughter, which echoed through the empty palace, was sinister and eerie, perfectly showcasing Mandora's narrow-minded, jealous, and scheming nature.
After leaving the Queen's palace, the Ice Princess did not return to the cold and lonely Ice Crystal Palace. Instead, filled with anticipation and determination, she headed straight for the Poison Queen's Xi Du Mansion. She always had a clear goal in mind, and once she made up her mind, nothing could pull her back.
She knew that in this vast fairyland, only the Poisonous Lady could help her open the Gate of Spiritual Connection and fulfill her wish to travel to the human world.
Princess Ice, riding on an ice lotus, hovered outside the Xi Du Mansion like a fairy descending from the moon. She gently raised her hand, her fairy power flowing, and handed over a visiting card that exuded a faint chill and was like an ice sculpture, carrying her sincerity and urgency, saying softly, "Poison Queen, Princess Ice requests an audience."
However, all around was silent, and the Poisonous Lady did not appear. This cold reception of being turned away was just like a scene from her dream. Princess Ice felt a pang of bitterness in her heart and once again recognized reality—now that her immortal power was weak and her former nobility was no longer taken seriously by others. The proud self in her dream seemed like a distant memory.
After a long while, a charming yet languid voice, as if drunk and reclining among flowers, finally came from inside the Xi Du Manor: "So it is the Ice Princess, pure and immaculate, seemingly untouched by worldly affairs and detached from worldly troubles. My apologies, please come in!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the monstrous and ferocious poisonous creatures that surrounded the Xi Du Mansion, like a well-trained black tide, all retreated to both sides, making way for a winding, mysterious passage.
Princess Ice moved gracefully into the mansion, where she saw the Poisonous Lady sitting on a carved chair with her back to her, her figure elegant.
"Pure and innocent Ice Princess, you wouldn't come to my sanctuary without a reason. Speak, what brings you to my filthy and poisonous Xi Du Mansion?" The Poison Queen spoke indifferently, still not turning around. She clearly didn't take the Ice Princess, whose strength had been greatly reduced and whose aura had faded, to heart. Her arrogance was almost overflowing from the screen.
Seeing this, Princess Ice didn't beat around the bush. Her expression was cold as she stated her purpose directly, her tone unwavering and firm: "I want to go to the human world and ask you to help me open the Gate of Spiritual Rhinoceros. I voluntarily gave up my position as Pavilion Master so that you could take my place. That's a favor you owe me. Otherwise, with your abilities, let alone fighting alone, even if you team up with others, could you defeat my brother and me together?" Her words revealed her decisive, direct, and principled character.
