On an ordinary yet destined-to-be-extraordinary day, the Ice Princess, this aloof fairy who stepped from the celestial realm into the human world, gracefully traversed the clouds, heading straight for the North Pole.
Her ice-blue gauze dress fluttered in the wind, like ethereal frost, and her hair shimmered with the light of ice crystals, like scattered stars. However, what she had seen on this journey gradually covered her usually cool and calm face with frost.
Looking down at the earth, the once clear and beautiful world now resembles a gray painting that has been wantonly smeared, revealing the hideous traces of pollution everywhere.
My gaze happened to fall on a small island nation, where, at regular intervals, thick, black pipes, like hideous giant pythons, secretly discharged nuclear wastewater into the depths of the sea. The wastewater gleamed with a chilling eerie light, emitted a pungent and ominous odor, and relentlessly eroded the purity of the ocean.
Within the island nation, specially designed water storage tanks stand in rows, like silent yet dangerous behemoths, imprisoning large amounts of toxic sewage within them. But even so, it is nothing more than a self-deceiving act, nothing more than self-deception.
Since the sewage was discharged into the ocean, the surrounding waters have instantly become a living hell. Schools of fish that once darted nimbly and joyfully through the waves now float in large numbers on the surface, their pale bellies upturned, lifeless, as if silently accusing humanity of its evil deeds.
Their corpses rose and fell with the waves, colliding with a dull thud, each impact like a heavy hammer blow to the Ice Princess's heart.
Ice is also water, and she is inherently connected with the waters of this world. At this moment, what surges forth is the heart-wrenching lament of the sea, the dying cries of countless marine creatures, each sound a tear of blood, penetrating straight into the depths of her soul.
Anger, like a raging fire of ice and fire, surged wildly within the Ice Princess's chest, burning and scorching. "Hmph, it's all because of humanity's endless greed and selfishness that nature has been trampled and destroyed to such a wretched state!"
"Since that's the case, then let's experience the power of nature!" She parted her lips slightly, her clear, cold voice carrying a chilling aura, and chanted the incantation: "Ye Luoli magic, ice drifts, crystallizing like snow, reaching freezing point, repent within the ice!"
In an instant, icy blue magical light surged forth from her body like a raging tide, sweeping outwards in all directions from her center. Wherever the light touched, whether it was the towering buildings lining the streets or the hurried pedestrians, everything was instantly enveloped in a layer of translucent ice, transforming into lifelike ice sculptures. Some pedestrians were raising their hands to point, some vehicles were about to turn, but all actions abruptly stopped as the ice crystals solidified, as if time itself had frozen in that moment.
The Ice Princess slowly floated to the ground, gazing at the world of ice sculptures before her, her anger subsiding slightly. She had no intention of destroying these ice sculptures; she only hoped that this scene could serve as a long, resounding alarm bell, deterring other humans and making them understand the importance of respecting nature and protecting the environment.
She looked up at the leaden sky, her mind clear, knowing that this seven-day blizzard might ultimately be doomed to failure.
But that ice crystal disc was like a ray of dawn in a desperate situation. If she could use its power, she might be able to restore her own strength, or even bring back the arm that was gradually losing power and showing signs of abnormality. Even if the hope was as faint as a candle in the wind, she was determined to fight for it as long as there was a sliver of possibility.
Upon arriving at the Arctic, the Ice Princess waved her hand lightly, and with a flash of magical light, created a temporary resting place in this icy and snowy land.
A throne carved from crystal-clear ice rises abruptly from the center of the cave. The armrests of the throne are engraved with delicate snowflake patterns, and the high back of the throne resembles the spine of a glacier.
The Ice Princess stepped forward gracefully, sat down, closed her eyes and concentrated, her body shrouded in icy aura, and began her long journey of cultivation, attempting to gather more power of ice and snow so that the blizzard could unfold as planned.
Meanwhile, in the bustling city where the Ye Luoli warriors resided, the summer sun had barely faded from people's memories when the clear blue sky was abruptly shrouded in leaden clouds. Large swaths of pure white snow, like fluttering pear blossoms, fell gently upon the earth.
At first, people were filled with curiosity and joy at the unexpected snowfall. Children ran and laughed into the snow, making snowballs and throwing them around. Adults also smiled and stopped to admire this rare sight. Neighbors joked with each other and guessed the origin of this unusual weather.
But the snowfall intensified, with heavy snowflakes falling like dense arrows, covering the sky and the earth. In the blink of an eye, the streets were buried under a thick layer of snow. The once bustling roads were now just a vast expanse of white, with no road outlines or traces of pedestrians visible.
People stepped out of their homes, only to find their feet sinking into knee-deep snow. Every step felt like a struggle through mud, an incredibly difficult ordeal. Fear spread rapidly through the crowd like a plague, and laughter was replaced by screams and cries for help.
News media across the country sprang into action, cameras pointed at the snow-covered streets and alleys, and anchors with solemn expressions reported on this unprecedented "summer blizzard" spectacle.
Social media platforms are filled with panicked comments from netizens, with some asserting that this is a punishment from nature and urging everyone to take immediate action to protect the endangered environment.
Inside the warmly lit Ye Luoli doll shop, Wang Mo, Chen Sisi, Shu Yan, Jian Peng, and others sat together, their brows furrowed, gazing at the swirling snow outside the window, anxiously discussing when the snow would stop so they could return home safely.
Wang Mo gripped the hem of his clothes tightly, his eyes filled with anxiety: "This snow is so strange. If it doesn't stop, my family will be worried to death." Jian Peng scratched his head, his face full of helplessness: "Yeah, I had plans to play ball with my friends, and now it's all ruined."
