Chapter 136 Heading to the Fire Desert

"Host, be careful, get out of the way!" The system's mechanical yet anxious voice suddenly rang out in Qi Na's mind, like a sharp alarm bell. The system's monitoring module flashed warning signals frantically, keenly capturing the ominous aura of danger. It roared and called out in Qi Na's mental world, its voice vibrating through every nerve ending of hers.

Zina was still looking around in confusion, trying to figure out where she was, when this sudden warning snapped her back to reality. Her body reacted instinctively, like a nimble and agile cheetah.

With a swift and decisive sidestep, she narrowly avoided the lightning-fast attack of the ice spikes. The ice spikes whistled past her clothes, the sharp sound piercing her eardrums, and icy shards flew everywhere, landing on her hair and cheeks, bringing a chill and a stinging sensation.

However, before she could catch her breath and even take a good look at her surroundings, a magical attack surging with powerful energy, carrying a chilling aura, pressed in like a raging black wave.

"Aren't you going to show yourself, human!" A chilling voice, as if carrying the weight of a thousand years of frost and snow, drifted into Qi Na's ears. The voice seemed to come from the deepest hell, filled with bone-chilling cold and impatience, echoing in the empty space, each note causing the air to tremble slightly.

Qi Na was not a weak person who would obediently surrender and passively take a beating. She decisively took out the transparent card "BLAZE" from the system space. The card was surrounded by a clear and mysterious red light, as if a scorching power was lurking and surging within it.

Qi Na held her breath and poured her immortal power into the card like a trickle. As the power was poured in, the light on the card became more and more intense, like a primordial beast about to awaken.

Immediately afterwards, she parted her lips slightly and uttered an ancient and obscure incantation. The syllables rolled off her tongue and echoed in the air with a strange rhythm and magic. Then, with a flick of her wrist, she forcefully threw the card at the Ice Princess who sat on the majestic throne.

The moment the "Flame" card left the hand, it seemed to break free of some invisible shackles. The seal was suddenly released, a blinding light flashed, and a fiery red firebird with its body engulfed in raging flames and its feathers flowing like magma took flight.

It raised its head and let out a long cry, its voice high-pitched and loud, as if it wanted to tear apart the cold sky. With flames surging and roaring all around it, it bravely rushed towards the several ice spikes that were whistling towards it.

The ice cone collided with the flames, and in an instant, ice and fire clashed, creating a large amount of water vapor that rose up like a mushroom cloud, quickly spreading and completely obscuring the Ice Princess's vision.

Seizing this fleeting opportunity, Qi Na summoned "Flying" and transformed it into a butterfly, carrying her like a black gust of wind as she swiftly rushed out of the Ice Princess's cold and majestic Ice Crystal Palace.

At this moment, she was perfectly clear-headed. With her current strength, she could only barely maintain a stalemate with the Ice Princess. If she continued to fight, she would likely get bogged down in the quagmire. In order to successfully complete that crucial mission, the best strategy was to flee. It was the wise thing to do to make a clean getaway.

Once in mid-air, Zina hurriedly conveyed her desire to escape this dangerous place to the transparent card "Flight." As if receiving an urgent order, the card flashed with light and its flight speed suddenly doubled, slicing through the sky like an arrow.

Meanwhile, inside the Ice Crystal Palace, the Ice Princess was furious to see her prey escape. "You wretched humans, I will make you pay the price!" Her beautiful eyes widened, and her cold gaze seemed to spew out tangible fury. Her immortal power surged uncontrollably, like a raging blue icy storm.

She moved her hands rapidly in front of her, forming intricate and mysterious hand seals, and chanted a spell: "Ye Luoli Magic, Frosty Flood, Ice Barrier!" As her voice fell, countless icy blue fairy powers surged forth from her body like a rushing river.

The ice crystals rapidly solidified and expanded around the Ice Crystal Palace, instantly forming a magnificent and imposing ice-blue barrier that exuded a chilling aura. The barrier surrounded the area from the inside out, like an invisible giant hand attempting to grab the fleeing Zina back into its palm.

Qi Na caught a glimpse of this scene and her heart leaped into her throat. In her anxiety, she kept urging "Fly" to speed up, her voice trembling slightly and changing tone due to her anxiety.

Fortunately, the "Flying" vehicle lived up to expectations, going full throttle and quickly carrying Qi Na away from the Ice Princess's territory, plunging into a vast, tranquil, and secluded forest. Seeing that there was no immediate danger, Qi Na found a relatively secluded spot with lush vegetation, intending to rest for a while and calm her wildly beating heart.

Within that magnificent and mysterious ice crystal palace, the Ice Princess had her eyes closed, intently sensing everything around her. Suddenly, she realized that the despicable intruder had already fled her territory! This discovery ignited a fury within her, a fury that seemed poised to consume the entire palace.

"Hmph! This audacious human dares to trespass on my territory!" Princess Ice said through gritted teeth.

She secretly vowed that if she ever saw that human again, she would make her taste the power of the Ice Princess and personally experience the endless rage and punishment from the world of ice and snow.

Seeing her master stop, Fei Ling flew out of the cloak and instantly grew into a human form. She pouted and complained, "Master, why did you run so fast? I was curled up in the cloak and was so stuffy I could hardly breathe. I was just about to stick my head out for some fresh air when you took me away like the wind."
