Chapter 2: A Treasure Hunt (Revised)

Qi Na was panting heavily, her forehead covered in fine beads of sweat, muttering repeatedly, "Huff, huff, so tired... I've always been a homebody."

I've never run like this before; my body feels like it's falling apart! I wonder if I've even gotten out of the school grounds yet?

She stopped and looked around, finding herself on a somewhat dilapidated street. Old buildings stood on both sides of the street, and a wall enclosed a small park in front. Qi Na thought, "Perhaps if I enter this park, I can successfully complete my mission."

So, she dragged her tired body toward the park entrance. Upon entering the park, she saw a slide, several benches, and a sandpit enclosed by round bricks, with some toys placed in the sand.

In addition, the park is equipped with some simple fitness equipment, and two trash cans are placed at the far end.

Qi Na quickly took a trash bag from her bag, bent down, picked up three aluminum cans, and threw them into the trash bag. Then, she opened the system panel to check the task progress and was pleasantly surprised to find that the task was already completed!

Strangely, she didn't hear the familiar notification sound. Zina guessed it was probably to conserve energy, given the urgency of the situation. Just then, the mission panel suddenly refreshed.

1. At the small park (check in/not check in), you will receive one chance to win a prize.

2. Find the tin toy (Yes/No) for a chance to win 5 prizes.

Qi Na: "5 times" is so many! My eyes lit up as I stared at the screen. I quickly got to work, silently signing in to the system. Then, when I saw the words "tin toy" on the screen...

You can immediately think of Prince Jin, the number one war god in the fairy realm, powerful and strong. No wonder the surroundings look familiar. Isn't this the place where Wang Mo and Loli met Tin Man?

But I wonder if the tinplate has been picked up by those mischievous kids from the original story. Why think so much? The mission has appeared.

He should be nearby. He'll throw away the trash first, then walk to the bin and see lots of flies on it, and it smells awful. He feels like vomiting, but he resists the urge and throws it in. Unfortunately, he misses the bin and throws it next to it.

I had to pick it up again and try once more. Luckily, no one was around, otherwise I wouldn't feel good about the strange looks from others. I looked around again to see if there was any sheet metal. There were also some cardboard boxes and foam boxes next to the trash can.

I'm thinking of bringing a few home to grow vegetables and flowers. After all, Qi Na's family isn't well-off. Her parents received some compensation for the plane crash, but it wasn't much. Saving a little money would be helpful.

I found two small, clean styrofoam boxes and put them aside. I looked for a small, worn-out brown teddy bear, thinking it was a bit dirty but could be washed off. I searched for a long time but couldn't find it. I looked around everywhere, but it wasn't under the slide, under the bench, or under the big tree.

ε=(′ο`*))) Sigh, I want to give up. I can't find it. Without the protagonist's halo and luck, it's impossible to find it. Small bag, small bag, is there any guidance?

[Sorry, host, you don't have it. Please complete it yourself. Don't expect something for nothing, the small package's mechanical voice announced.]

I never intended to rely on your unreliable system. Didn't you run out of energy? You still have the energy to reply to me? I'm so bored, no one's around, I need someone to chat with.

[The system gained energy from the host's previous check-in; a simple reply is sufficient.]

I'll go look in the sand later. I'll rummage around and wow, there are lots of toys in the sand, but they're all dirty. Finally, I found a tin toy covered in sand in a pile of sand. I thought to myself that maybe the Golden Prince is still conscious, so I should be nice to him. So I said to the Golden Prince, "Why is there a tin toy buried here? Did you not want it? I just found a little bear that needs a companion. Tiny, come with me!"

As I spoke, I picked up the toy and carefully wiped it clean with a tissue, not touching my fingers. I didn't want to sign a contract with him yet, for many reasons.

The system panel displays that the task is complete, and the current number of draws is 8. The system prompts whether to continue the draw.

[No] Leave it for now. We can't mess with Mandora and Xinling for the time being. Let's keep quiet and get more items.

The plot can't be changed too much, who knows if it will cause trouble. Although Ironhide and Ironhide are very gentle, Prince Jin is a madman who can kill people.

Characters like Qi Na from the anime are constantly being used by one fairy or another, and she even got tricked and trapped in a small house on the top of the tower. As soon as she was able to get out, she was parasitized. She's such a failure. I don't want to be like that. I must change.

Using the Golden Prince as a trump card, I wonder if the system's items can block Xin Ling's contract, but it's really different from when Wang Mo found the Iron Man.

The tin dolls these days are really like toys. Look at the ones in anime, their eyes can move, but mine is just an ordinary doll. Of course, it's also possible that Loli gains magic, and the Golden Prince gains a little bit of life along with it.

I put the toys into the styrofoam box. Zina's backpack is really special; it can be carried in two ways: by hand or over the shoulder. I wonder if we have a spare backpack at home. I just filled it with trash and I'm thinking of washing it. I picked up the backpack, carried the styrofoam box, and went home.

On my way home, I wondered whether I should try my luck at the lottery to get the items first, or save them until after I signed the contract with Fei Ling.

Thinking about it, I decided against it. Including the one I just finished, it's only 8 times, I still need 2 more. Signing the contract with Fei Ling and going to the Ye Luoli doll shop will definitely give me 2 more times, making it a total of 10. Maybe I'll get lucky.

——

Qi Na's home

Qi Na: Grandma, I'm back

Grandma: Nana, you're back! Why are you so late? Were you bullied? You're all dirty, and why did you bring a styrofoam box back with you?
