Qi Na: "Huff huff huff, so tired, my chest hurts terribly from running too fast." Just like in her past life, when "I" would also experience chest pain from running too fast, it would get better after a while. Qi Na panted heavily, leaning against the wall. She looked back with lingering fear, making sure Ye Zhi and Zhang Qi weren't chasing after her, before she breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"Luckily I ran fast..." Qi Na muttered to herself, "I should try to avoid running into them in the future, after all, I can't beat two people by myself."
She straightened her clothes and prepared to go home. Suddenly, she remembered the system tasks: "Give a name to a big tree by the roadside and talk to it for three minutes," and "Pick up trash five times."
After finding three aluminum cans and two snack bags on the roadside, Zina looked around for a suitable trash can. Finally, she spotted one not far away, walked over briskly, and accurately threw the trash into it.
The system panel immediately flashed, displaying a message indicating that the task was complete. Zina smiled and tapped the screen to check the next task. The screen clearly displayed: "Give a name to a large tree by the roadside and talk to it for three minutes."
She began searching for a suitable tree. After some searching, in a secluded corner, she found a tall and majestic tree. This tree stood there quietly, like a huge green fortress.
Zina slowly approached the tree, gently stroking its rough bark, feeling the marks of time. She whispered, "Hello, tree, I'm Zina." A hint of shyness lingered in her voice. "Would you like to be my friend? I don't have any real friends, and I hope you can be my 'good friend.'" Then, after a moment's thought, she decided to give the tree a special name—"Hope." Because at that moment, the tree gave her the strength to escape her predicament and pursue hope.
Zina stood quietly beside the tree, engaging in a special conversation with it. She poured out her deepest thoughts and worries to the tree, as if the tree were her most loyal listener. Time passed by, and three minutes flew by, but for Zina, this time of communication with the tree felt exceptionally precious.
As she turned to leave, she felt much lighter than when she arrived. The big tree named "Hope" seemed to have become a source of solace for her soul, bringing her a sense of peace and comfort.
While pondering how to form a contract with Fei Ling to complete the system's mission, Zina strolled along absentmindedly, completely unaware that she had entered a strange space.
The road here is quaint and lined with lush cherry blossom trees. A gentle breeze blows, and cherry blossom petals flutter down like snowflakes. These petals seem to be imbued with some kind of magical life force, guiding Zina forward involuntarily.
She walked through an extremely narrow and dark path, surrounded by a mysterious and oppressive atmosphere. However, the countless flower petals continued to guide her forward until she arrived at a pink doll shop.
The entire doll shop was pink. The doors were tightly shut, and all was quiet except for the fluttering petals gently swaying in the air. Qi Na stood at the shop entrance, outwardly displaying a very curious expression, but inwardly thinking, "This is the Ye Luoli toy shop, all pink! How much does Fairy Xin Ling love pink to turn the whole shop pink? It's really speechless."
"What kind of toys does the Ye Luoli Toy Store sell? Let's go to the window and see what toys they have," Qi Na said as she walked towards the window next to her. She saw a set of model sofas in the window, and on the model sofas was a doll wearing a white and red long dress. Her burgundy head had an exquisite plum-red bow, with key-like patterns on both sides of the bow. There was a white decorative layer around her waist, with a pink lace trim in the middle. The skirt was trimmed with black lace, making her look mysterious and noble.
She was lying there lazily, propping her head up as if waiting for something.
"It's like a fateful encounter. What a beautiful doll! It's so lifelike, as if it has a life of its own. Her expression is so confident and proud. I really want to have her," Zina said involuntarily.
Qi Na: "What's going on? Is it the power of the plot? How terrifying, system, system..."
Xin Ling: "If it's destined, she will belong to you." Fairy Xin Ling, holding a key-wielding staff and wearing a black cheongsam, appeared.
Qi Na: What she was thinking wasn't important; she asked shyly and softly, "Who are you? What does 'destined' mean?"
Xinling: "I am Fairy Xinling. Qi Na, the doll has chosen you. Child, do you believe in magic? Do you want to have magic? Do you want to have her?"
Zina: "I believe in magic, and I want to have magic, but what price would I have to pay to have the doll? There's no such thing as a free lunch."
What will Xin Ling's answer be? Will Qi Na and Fei Ling successfully sign the contract? Stay tuned for the next chapter!
