Chapter 56 The Sealed Gate is Lifted

Thump, thump, thump... The heavy footsteps echoed in the narrow tree hollow. Jianpeng moved forward with difficulty, muttering to himself, "Ugh, this tree hollow is so small! My tall and strong body can't stretch out at all here. I have to bend over the whole time. It's so suffocating."

"Ugh, my head hurts so much! This is infuriating! Liangcai, who was that person who just spoke? This hole is so small I can only crawl forward. It's exhausted, and I still can't find Wang Mo." Jianpeng's face was filled with anger and anxiety. After speaking, he punched the wall of the tree hole hard in great dissatisfaction.

"What's the point of getting angry at the tree hole? Quiet down and hurry up to find Shu Yan and the others. What a brainless idiot." Liang Cai's words seemed to carry a hint of comfort, but were actually full of sarcasm.

"You..." Jianpeng was about to retort when he suddenly felt the tree hole above his head begin to shake violently. At the same time, a large amount of soil fell from above, and this sudden change made Jianpeng and Liangcai panic instantly.

Jianpeng's eyes widened in astonishment. "No way? I didn't use much force! Is this tree hole going to collapse? What should we do?"

On the other side, Jasmine and Shuyan, who had stopped at the entrance of the tree hole after walking out, were also forced to press their bodies tightly against the wall of the tree hole to prevent themselves from falling due to the violent shaking of the tree hole.

"This, could it be..." Jasmine's worried words were not fully uttered when the tree hollow began to shake even more violently. Soil and small stones kept falling from the top of the hollow, making their unease even stronger.

"Why is the tree hole suddenly shaking so violently? Has something terrible happened? Could it be that a monster outside is pushing the tree?" Shu Yan asked, his brows furrowed and his mind filled with doubt. His eyes revealed deep worry as he pondered various possible scenarios.

“This magic tree is the home of us fairies. This tremor seems to be the tree throwing a tantrum.” Jasmine first closed her eyes, carefully sensing the surrounding atmosphere, before slowly explaining the reason to Shu Yan.

"A tree can get angry? How is that possible?" Shu Yan's face was full of disbelief. As he spoke, he hurriedly walked back to the exit of the tree hole, peeked inside, and then shouted into the hole, "Jianpeng, are you alright?"

Shu Yan's voice echoed in the tree hollow, but he heard no other response. He shook his head helplessly and began to mutter to himself, "This hollow looks very deep. Jianpeng and the others can't hear me anymore. I hope they're safe and sound."

After listening to Shu Yan's words, Jasmine quietly walked towards the tree hollow, leaving Shu Yan with the words, "I'll go see if there are any other clues." Jasmine took cautious steps, carefully examining the surroundings. When she saw a dark shadow behind a small hole, she was immediately terrified, her face turning pale. She hurriedly hid behind Shu Yan, her voice trembling as she said, "Master, there's a dark shadow behind the tree, it's so scary."

Shu Yan immediately analyzed calmly, "Could there be someone else besides Jianpeng and Liangcai? Are they observing us from the shadows?" His eyes scanned the surroundings warily, trying to find the source of the mysterious shadow.

“Master, everything in the fairyland is alive. The trees might be tree spirits.” Jasmine seemed to recall some distant memory and quickly answered Shu Yan.

"We are human warriors who came to Fairyland because our friends were captured by Queen Mandora. If you are our friend, we hope you can show yourself." After listening to Jasmine's words, Shu Yan spoke sincerely to the tree hole, hoping that the tree spirit would appear and offer them some help.

However, the tree spirit did not appear. Just then, a dazzling fluorescent staircase suddenly appeared at the top of the tree hole, slowly extending downwards. Shu Yan and Jasmine exchanged a glance, and after a brief discussion, they unanimously agreed to climb the stairs to see the truth. It turned out that the end of the staircase led to a passage filled with gemstones.

Jasmine and Shu Yan stood in the jeweled passageway. Jasmine's face was filled with terror. She tightly gripped Shu Yan's clothes and said to him, "Master, this looks like the corridor leading to the Queen's Palace. Should we continue forward?"

Shu Yan frowned slightly, lost in thought. He carefully observed his surroundings, and after a moment's thought, replied to Jasmine, "We're already here, there's no turning back, let's find out!" With that, Shu Yan and Jasmine resolutely walked forward. When they reached the end, they saw a huge mirror. The mirror emitted a mysterious light, arousing their curiosity. Out of curiosity, Shu Yan gently touched the mirror, but unexpectedly, he was instantly sucked inside. Seeing this, Jasmine was very worried and without hesitation stepped into the mirror herself, hoping to find Shu Yan and face the unknown danger together.

Jianpeng and Liangcai continued their slow, aimless journey through the mysterious and unknown tree hollow. Jianpeng's face was clouded with anxiety and frustration, as if his heart was shrouded in an inescapable gloom.

He clenched his fists so tightly that it seemed he was about to unleash all the discontent and resentment in his heart. Just as his fist was about to slam down heavily on the thick, ancient tree beside him again, a shocking scene suddenly unfolded.

In an instant, as if by magic, tough, steel-like vines shot out from Jianpeng's feet. The vines, like an extremely cunning serpent, bound one of his feet tightly with astonishing speed.
