Chapter 69

Unknown space

A dazzling ball of light was relentlessly pounding on the head of an object resembling a large yellow rat, venting its deep-seated discontent.

The poor, yellow-skinned rat being hit screamed in pain, crying out, "It hurts! It hurts so much! Please, please don't hit me anymore!"

The task is progressing so slowly, it's really not my fault! My host is just an ordinary human being, she has only been exposed to magic for a very short time, she is clearly still a novice.

How could she possibly have the ability to steal energy from the territories of those powerful fairies in those fairy realms? I myself can't offer her much substantial help.

The ball of light listened quietly to the system's urgent explanation, gradually ceasing its jumping motion. Then, it fell into deep thought, and after a moment, it vanished without a sound, leaving not a single word behind.

The system keenly sensed that the tapping on its head had stopped, and secretly reasoned that its explanation must have worked. So it continued its long-winded explanation: "The plot has only just begun, you must have enough patience and wait patiently... Think about it carefully, doesn't that make sense?" The system had truly exhausted its words.

It tried its best to reason with the system, hoping for a response from the ball of light. However, after a long while, there was still no reaction from above. The system mustered its courage and stretched out its small, short hand to boldly touch the top of its head, but found nothing.

The system was furious. A strong sense of anger welled up inside it, and it shouted angrily, "m9( `д′ )!!!! You left without saying a word, which really makes this system angry! No way, why should I be the only one who's angry? If I'm not happy, I'm going to go and cause trouble for others."

So, the system angrily returned to Qi Na's mind, resting while planning what kind of task to assign Qi Na for tomorrow.

On the other side, the departing ball of light pondered that it couldn't put all its eggs in one basket. It couldn't rely solely on that unreliable system and its weak host; it needed to find other people or fairies to change the future.

So, the ball of light thought of a perfect candidate—the fairy Ice Princess who had truly disappeared after giving everything for her good brother, so that she could witness the awakening of self-awareness in the future.

Cutting off the Ice Princess's support for the main characters should reduce her power, allowing me to regain more of it. Hmm, that's a great idea. Let's get started.

In the Wonderland Mirror Space

The ball of light passed through the fairy-like space filled with stone statues and arrived at a place where the light was extremely dim, as if shrouded in a thick haze. This space was covered in frost, and wisps of cold air drifted silently through the air, carrying a chill that penetrated to the bone. And in the very center of this somewhat oppressive space stood an enormous ice crystal.

The ice crystal resembled a crystal-clear, mysterious fortress, emanating wisps of magical ice. Through the thick ice, the light shone through the icy orb, revealing a stunningly beautiful woman encased within. She lay there quietly, like a sleeping fairy, her delicate face appearing even more ethereal and mysterious against the backdrop of the ice. Her silvery-white hair, thick as a waterfall, seemed to still sway gently within the ice.

She wore an exquisite crown, like a dazzling jewel in an icy world. Crafted from pure ice crystals, it emitted wisps of mist. The crown's design was delicate and elegant, every angle meticulously sculpted, reflecting a mesmerizing light. At its center was a large blue gemstone, like the heart of a frozen ocean, deep and mysterious. Countless tiny ice crystals surrounded the gemstone, like shimmering stars, adding to the crown's splendor and dreamlike quality.

She wore a magnificent, ice-blue gown, seemingly crafted from the purest glacial water, every inch of fabric shimmering with a mysterious, ethereal light. The skirt cascaded in layers, like countless snowflakes gently caressed by a breeze, light and graceful. Her lithe figure resembled a group of dancing sprites playing around her, or stardust falling from the night sky, dreamlike and enchanting. On her feet were sparkling crystal high heels, ten centimeters high, adorned with countless dazzling crystals, each gleaming brilliantly.

A crystal belt cinched her waist, emanating wisps of cold mist. Its delicate patterns resembled ancient magical runes, each engraving seeming to tell a story sealed away by time. Like a masterpiece of ice sculpture, it exuded a chilling yet breathtaking beauty, perfectly highlighting her slender, willow-like waist, seemingly fragile enough to break with a gentle touch, yet containing an unyielding strength.

She wore an ice crystal bracelet on her arm, its translucent material reflecting a captivating brilliance in the dim light. The ice-blue ring on her finger was even more dazzling; the gemstone resembled a frozen star, deep and mysterious. Every engraving on the ring was delicate and exquisite, as if sketched by a master with the finest brushstrokes, exuding nobility and elegance.

The ball of light, like a dazzling meteor, flew at an astonishing speed directly to the enormous ice crystal. It trembled slightly, radiating a powerful and mysterious energy, intently sensing the Ice Princess's current condition. Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and the surrounding air seemed to become exceptionally heavy, with wisps of cold mist drifting slowly in the air.
