Chapter 8 Heading to Qingxi Gorge

Grandma Qi Na: "Knock knock knock!"

A series of urgent knocks sounded on the door, but the room remained silent.

Grandma Qi Na: "Nana, Nana, are you up yet? The sun's already high in the sky! Get up, it's time for breakfast."

Qi Na: "Hmm~"

The girl on the bed turned over, pulled the blanket over her head, and continued to sleep soundly.

Grandma Qi Na: "Nana, Nana! Get up quickly! Even though it's Saturday, you can't get up this late."

Qi Na: "Ugh, it's so noisy! I miss the days when I was in college and could sleep in as long as I wanted. Why am I still in elementary school?"

Qi Na rolled around on the bed, muttering to herself.

Grandma Qi Na: "Nana, Nana!"

Qi Na: "Seriously, can't people even sleep on the weekend?!"

Qi Na rubbed her eyes, sat up, then lay back down, covered herself with the blanket, and continued sleeping.

Qi Na: "I'm so sleepy, I want to sleep a little longer..."

Grandma Qi Na: "Knock knock knock!"

The knocking started again, and Grandma Qi Na called out anxiously, "Nana, Nana! Aren't you up yet? It's almost eight o'clock! Nana, Nana... Really, Nana never used to get up this late. What's wrong with her today? It's so strange."

Qi Na threw off the covers, sat up, ran her fingers through her hair, and said to the door, "Grandma, I'm up, I'm up!" She then picked up her phone from the bedside table.

There's no way around it; before, the first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was to check my phone for news and watch videos. Now, although my phone's performance isn't great, I can still read the news. Then I discovered that my phone has been upgraded to 4G. I guess it will be upgraded again when the plot starts. I'm so happy! It's great that I don't have to spend money on a new phone.

Qi Na: "Fei Ling, are you awake?" As she spoke, she prepared to check the small protrusion in the corner of the bed against the wall, because she was afraid that Fei Ling would fall off the bed at night, so she could only let her sleep at the innermost part.

Fei Ling: "Master, I'm awake. Master, let's wash up and go out early. I want to see what the countryside is like."

Qi Na: "Okay, I'll use my phone to check which bus goes to Qingxi Gorge. Fei Ling, this is a phone that can be used for online shopping, playing games, etc. I'll buy you one when I have money. I forgot to introduce it to you yesterday. You can play with it, but you have to return it to me later, okay? I'll need it later."

I thought to myself: Luckily I forgot to mention it yesterday, otherwise I wouldn't know how to explain how the phone switched from a button to a touchscreen version. It's good that it was upgraded, otherwise I wouldn't know how to get to Qingxi Gorge.

Fei Ling: "Really? Master, thank you, Master." After saying that, she immediately flew over and took the phone from my hand, and started tapping this and that with her fingers. Before long, she was engrossed in it.

I ignored her and went to wash up myself.

Qingxi Gorge

"Ugh, uh, I don't know how many times I've thrown up. I threw up several times on the bus, and I threw up again just after getting off. I really shouldn't have taken any chances. I've always been prone to motion sickness since I transmigrated, and this constitution just came with me. Why am I so unlucky?" Qi Na, squatting by the bus stop, holding a bulging bag of what she couldn't tell what it was (those who know, know), thought indignantly. After a while, feeling better and no longer wanting to throw up, she stood up and said to Fei Ling, who was hiding by the bus stop playing on her phone:

Feiling, stop playing around! Qingxi Gorge is just ahead. The air here is incredibly fresh, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Give me your phone, I need to take some photos. I'll share them on the Hongshu platform later to build my following.

(Thinking to myself: Then I'll see if I can sell products through e-commerce. I can't just sit around doing nothing; I need to try to make money. I used to watch videos of other people making money, and I think I can make a little money in this less competitive world.) Oh, right, thank you for magically conjuring up a trash bag, Feiling. Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to face that bus driver. In the past, when I saw someone vomit on the bus, the bus driver and everyone on the bus would yell at the person who was carsick, saying how bad they were. People who are carsick should bring their own trash bags. Today, I forgot. Anyway, thank you.

"Master, you're welcome. It's what I should do. But, Master, could I play with that phone a little longer? I'm almost done with my game," Fei Ling said, looking at me with a very embarrassed expression.

"Sure, but you have to hurry. I'm going to throw out the trash first. Be careful not to get spotted. Even though you said yesterday that others can't see you, you still have to be careful." After saying that, Qi Na walked towards the trash can not far away.

"Yes, Master," Fei Ling replied, then became engrossed in the game again.

After throwing away the trash, Qi Na returned to the bus stop and saw Fei Ling tapping on the screen and muttering something unintelligible. For the first time, Qi Na regretted showing her the phone.

There will be countless future times when Qi Na sees Fei Ling playing on her phone every day, even during battles, and she will regret ever telling her how to use a phone. Now, looking at the motionless Fei Ling, she can only hug her and walk towards the stream below the road.

I walked carefully up the stone steps, secretly relieved that the path to the stream wasn't far. When I reached the stream, I stopped and gazed quietly at the crystal-clear water before me.

Now it is no longer just a small stream, but a wide river. Looking at all this, I can't help but marvel at the wonders of nature, and at the same time, I am impressed by the government's great efforts in protecting the natural environment.

Small fish can be seen swimming in the river, darting happily through the water and bringing life and vitality to this body of water.

At this moment, a feeling of homesickness welled up within me. I thought of my hometown, where there is also a river, but the water is not as crystal clear as that of Qingxi Gorge. Like Qingxi Gorge, people used to carelessly throw garbage into the river, causing serious pollution.
