Chapter 83

"Ding-a-ling..." The crisp sound of the school bell rang throughout the campus. With this familiar melody, students began packing their bags, marking the end of their day's studies. Full of joy, they walked out of the classrooms. Their bright eyes sparkled with anticipation for the free time after school. They surged towards the school gate like a tide, instantly forming a bustling and vibrant crowd.

Amid the surging crowd, some students chatted happily with their close friends, sharing the interesting things that happened in class that day with great enthusiasm, and bursting into cheerful laughter from time to time; others excitedly discussed their upcoming weekend plans, imagining all sorts of exciting activities, their eyes full of anticipation; still others couldn't wait to take out their phones, eagerly dialing numbers to call their parents to let them know they were safe, their voices filled with joy and relief.

In just a few minutes, the once bustling campus became much quieter, with only a few students remaining.

At this moment, a relaxed and joyful atmosphere permeated the entire campus, as if all the pressure had been quietly released. The warm sunlight gently shone on every corner of the campus, draping it in a golden cloak, making it appear exceptionally warm and beautiful.

Wen Qian followed slowly behind Shu Yan and the others, her thoughts a jumbled mess, her mind brimming with calculations. Her eyes flashed with cunning at times, then a hint of ruthlessness. She racked her brains, meticulously planning how to make a dazzling entrance, leaving everyone in awe. At the same time, she was plotting how to bully Wang Mo; the thought of humiliating Wang Mo filled her with a strange sense of pleasure.

Wenxi was in a state of extreme excitement all day, as if she were immersed in a kind of frenzied emotion. She felt that she had finally ushered in an opportunity to become good friends with Shuyan.

Countless times, she sketched out scenes of her time with Shu Yan in her mind, imagining them talking and laughing together. Heaven knows how jealous she felt every time she saw them having lunch together so happily, chatting and laughing with the children. Her heart was filled with resentment and longing, and she secretly made up her mind to make herself the center of attention, to make Shu Yan's gaze linger on her more.

When she saw Chen Sisi get into the family car and head to her tutoring class, a pang of envy welled up inside her. She watched the car drive away, a complex light flickering in her eyes. She thought to herself, "The daughters of truly wealthy people are different; they have superior living conditions and endless resources." However, Wen Qian quickly shifted her gaze away from Chen Sisi. She didn't pay much attention to Chen Sisi's departure, because her mind was entirely focused on Shu Yan, Wang Mo, and the others.

Then, Wenxi saw Shuyan and Jianpeng escorting Wang Mo home. Her eyes instantly sharpened as she stared intently at them, her pace involuntarily slowing. Wenxi followed them slowly, like a patient hunter searching for the right opportunity to strike. At the same time, she anxiously awaited the Queen's help. She knew she was, after all, a novice who had just mastered magic, and would need the assistance of a seasoned magician when facing Wang Mo and the others.

Feng Yinsha and Hei Xiangling reappeared on Wang Mo's way home, their figures like ghosts in the darkness. Feng Yinsha gripped his weapon, a silver-threaded blade, which gleamed coldly in the sunlight. Instead of attacking immediately, Feng Yinsha warily addressed his surroundings, "Since you're here, don't hold back." His voice was deep and powerful, as if challenging an enemy lurking in the shadows.

"You still found out." Wen Qian, who was following behind Wang Mo and the other two, stopped hiding after being exposed and stepped forward. Her steps were firm and confident, a smug smile on her face. She walked to Feng Yinsha's side, a hint of anticipation in her eyes.

“The Queen informed me yesterday that I would have a companion, so I guessed you were nearby. The Queen’s orders to us were to capture Liangcai and Feiling. Since Feiling isn’t here right now, let’s capture Liangcai first,” Feng Yinsha said calmly, glancing at Wen Qian who had walked up to him.

"Don't order me around!" Wenxi said irritably, her heart filled with resentment. She felt she shouldn't be ordered around; she wanted to act according to her own will. Then, together with her doll, she transformed. The transformed Wenxi appeared more confident and powerful, radiating a mysterious energy.

Wen Qian looked at Wang Mo and the other three, and said smugly, "You didn't expect that, did you? I also have Ye Luoli magic now. Wang Mo, you had Luoli trick me and even erased my memories, but I still remember you. Just wait, Shu Yan, you'll be my friend from now on." Her voice was full of provocation and threat.

"Wenxi, you... you've sided with the Queen? And you even have a doll? How is that possible? How could a doll the Queen gave you make you so beautiful?" Wang Mo said, first with surprise, then with jealousy. Her eyes were filled with disbelief; she couldn't imagine that Wenxi would side with the Queen, possess such powerful magic, and become so beautiful.
