In the days that followed, Qi Na lived an ordinary life, shuttling between home, hospital, and school as usual. She tirelessly tried to buy fresh ingredients herself, carefully cooked delicious meals, patiently made soup, and then rushed to the hospital to take care of her dearest grandmother.
During the time she spent with her grandmother, Qi Na had come to regard her as the most important person in her life. However, after only a few days in the hospital, her grandmother kept insisting on going home, claiming that she was not sick at all and did not want to stay in the hospital any longer. Although Qi Na felt reluctant and worried, she could not persuade her stubborn grandmother and had no choice but to reluctantly agree to let her grandmother go home.
Walking home, Qi Na's feelings were incredibly complex. Pedestrians came and went on the street, their faces displaying a variety of expressions—some joyful, some sorrowful, some hurried, some leisurely. But Qi Na felt out of place in this world; her heart was filled only with worry for her grandmother and uncertainty about the future. She didn't know what to do next. Without Fei Ling's company, she felt like a small boat that had lost its direction, drifting aimlessly on a vast ocean.
During this time, the system quietly released two new tasks. The first was to successfully obtain the Water Prince's Holy Water Dew, with the reward being a free ten-pull gacha pull. The second was to reabsorb the Water Spirit Orb's energy, restoring its former luster; this task offered even more generous rewards, including three gacha pulls. Zina also learned from the system that Mandora and Xinling were engaged in a gamble wagered on human hearts. However, in Zina's view, this was nothing more than a watered-down gamble, utterly unworthy of attention. She pondered to herself, truly unable to understand why these two sisters would gamble on such a trivial matter. Human hearts are inherently fickle; where is there truly pure kindness versus selfish darkness? It was all utterly meaningless.
Qi Na knew that her immediate priority was to go to the doll shop and make her presence known, to ask Xin Ling why Fei Ling hadn't returned yet, and whether she could go to the Fairy Realm to rescue Fei Ling. All of this was a prelude to her later, more legitimate choice of the dark path, and the reasoning was perfectly reasonable—since you won't help me, I can only choose the option most beneficial to myself. So, one day after school, Qi Na resolutely went to the doll shop.
The moment she stepped into the doll shop, she happened to run into Wang Mo and her group. Inside, the exquisite dolls stood quietly in the window, as if telling mysterious stories.
Soft lighting bathed them, adding a warm and magical atmosphere to the entire doll shop. As soon as Wang Mo saw Qi Na, she ran happily to her, her face beaming with a bright smile.
She said to Qi Na, "Qi Na, so your doll is a fake fairy made by Fairy Xin Ling. You never played with us much because you were covering up Fei Ling's identity! You're so clever, the shopkeeper told us everything."
However, deep down, Wang Mo felt nothing but disdain and contempt for Qi Na and Fei Ling. She thought to herself, "How dare these fake Ye Luoli warriors come to the doll shop again? Wouldn't it be better to just leave quietly? What's the point of them coming back?"
Blue Peacock chimed in, "That's right! So Fei Ling is so confident and arrogant. She's been pretending to be a fake fairy all along. Honestly, she could have just told us her true identity quietly. Why did she have to go through all this trouble?" Blue Peacock's eyes were filled with disapproval and disdain for Fei Ling's actions.
Upon hearing Wang Mo's words, Qi Na felt an overwhelming surge of anger. For Qi Na, who had just lost her doll, Wang Mo and Blue Peacock's words were like rubbing salt into her still-healing wounds. She bit her lip tightly, desperately trying to control her emotions and prevent her anger from showing on her face.
A hint of hurt flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by stubbornness. Zina thought inwardly, how could these people be so cold and heartless? Instead of offering comfort during her most painful time, they kicked her when she was down.
Although Qi Na knew the reason behind all of this, she couldn't show it. She could only pretend to be very sad and ask the shop manager, "Shop manager, is what Wang Mo and the others said true? Can I go to Fairyland to save Fei Ling by myself?"
Xin Ling, who was intently flipping through the contract on the table, said without hesitation after hearing this, "Qi Na, Wang Mo and the others are right. Fei Ling is a fake fairy that I created to replace the sixth fairy. Now that you have no magic power and the doll, you can't go to the fairy realm at all. You should just go back to school and we'll talk about Fei Ling later."
Qi Na lowered her head, secretly rolling her eyes, thinking to herself, "If you don't want to deal with it, just say so. Why make up so many excuses?" However, this thought only flashed through her mind. Just as Qi Na was about to say something, Jian Peng suddenly interrupted her, "Qi Na, we need to talk to the store manager. You should go home first!"
Qi Na slowly raised her head and looked at the others in the room. The unspoken message in their eyes was essentially urging her to leave immediately. Qi Na understood their meaning and could only pretend to be heartbroken as she ran out of the doll shop. The moment she ran out of the shop, Qi Na's heart was filled with disappointment and helplessness. She knew that now she could only quietly wait for Feng Yinsha to appear, because only he could bring Fei Ling back to her side. But where exactly was Feng Yinsha?
