Qi Na's life was like a seemingly calm lake, but beneath the surface lay layers of subtle turbulence. Since losing Fei Ling, Qi Na felt as if she had suddenly lost all her good fortune. It was an ordinary class; the teacher was lecturing eloquently, but Qi Na suddenly needed an eraser. Instinctively, she reached into her pencil case on the desk. However, she turned the desk upside down, but couldn't find the green pencil case with the panda design.
You see, this pencil case was something she and Fei Ling had carefully chosen together at the jewelry store. It held many beautiful memories for them and was incredibly meaningful to Qi Na. Because she was in class at the time, Qi Na, despite her burning anxiety, could only suppress her urgency and silently plan to search carefully again after school. Actually, she already had a vague suspicion that the pencil case had probably been deliberately hidden. After all, she had experienced something similar in junior high school. She could only silently pray that she could find the pencil case as easily as before this time.
However, harsh reality struck Qi Na's heart like a heavy hammer. After school, Qi Na frantically searched every desk in the classroom, even the smelly trash cans, but the pencil case she longed for was still nowhere to be found. Frustrated, she could only give up, thinking to herself, "Oh well, I'll just buy another one." Just as Qi Na walked dejectedly out of the classroom, slowly making her way towards the stairs, suddenly, a figure blocked her path, forcing her into a corner. Qi Na slowly looked up, and there stood Ye Zhi, whom she hadn't seen in a long time. Ye Zhi seemed to be holding something in his hand, but Qi Na couldn't see it clearly at first.
"Hey, four-eyed girl, what were you frantically searching for just now? Were you looking for this pencil case? Haha, you really want it back, don't you?" Ye Zhi arrogantly raised her chin, a smug, unrestrained smile on her face, a smile that seemed to prick uncomfortably. A sly glint appeared in her eyes, like a cunning fox, as she deliberately waved the green pencil case with a panda print in front of Qi Na's face. The pencil case shimmered faintly in the sunlight, as if mocking Qi Na's helplessness.
Upon hearing the word "pencil case," Zina instantly exploded like a powder keg. She jerked her head up, her eyes blazing with fury as she stared intently at the pencil case in Ye Zhi's hand. The familiar panda pattern instantly acted like a key, unlocking a flood of beautiful memories of her and Fei Ling. Warm images of them choosing pencil cases together in the jewelry store flashed through her mind, and she silently vowed that she would never let this pencil case, filled with memories, fall into the hands of that despicable Ye Zhi. So, Zina cried out urgently, "Give me back my pencil case! It's my pencil case, you can't take it!" Her voice trembled slightly with emotion, carrying a mixture of determination and anger. With that, she reached out like a fierce little lion, trying to snatch the pencil case back, as if it were the most precious thing in her world at that moment.
Yeats saw Zina reach out and swiftly dodged. Her movements were light and agile, like a nimble cat. Then, Yeats curled her lip and said disdainfully, "Oh, you want it? Sure, but I have one condition. I heard your tarot cards can see the future. Quickly tell me if he's really my future soulmate. If you do, I'll give your pencil case back." Her eyes held a hint of eagerness and expectation, yet also a touch of threat.
Qi Na was extremely reluctant to help her. She knew perfectly well that this was similar to fortune-telling; if the result was bad, Ye Zhi would definitely erupt in fury like a volcano, and she would undoubtedly become the target of her rage. Thinking of this, Qi Na's eyes dimmed. She could only silently lower her head, biting her lip tightly until it turned slightly white. Her hands were clenched into fists, her nails digging deep into her palms, yet she seemed to feel no pain. She didn't say a word, using this silence to express her resistance.
Seeing Zina lower her head and remain silent, Yeats was instantly enraged. Her eyes widened, burning like a raging fire. She pointed angrily at Zina and roared, "Speak! You mute, you don't want to help me at all? Fine, looks like you don't want this pencil case after all!" Her voice was sharp and piercing, echoing in the empty classroom as if it would lift the roof off.
At this moment, Zina missed Feiling terribly. If Feiling were by her side, she would stand up for her without hesitation like a knight, and would never let anyone bully her. Her eyes filled with tears, which welled up but stubbornly refused to fall. She silently called out Feiling's name in her heart, as if doing so would give her strength.
Seeing that Zina remained silent, Yeats's anger had reached its peak, like a volcano about to erupt. Without hesitation, she threw her pencil case into the nearest trash can, the action swift and decisive, without a moment's hesitation. Zina, seeing this, frantically tried to stop her, rushing forward like a gust of wind, only to be blocked again by Yeats who had returned. Yeats stormed up to Zina, like a ruthless robber, grabbing her bag without a word, quickly opening it, taking the tarot cards inside, and then running rapidly towards the empty corridor outside the classroom, shouting hoarsely, "Tch, how annoying! I came to see you out of kindness, and you're so rude! You freak, all you do is play dumb. You make me unhappy, these deceptive things shouldn't exist!" Her voice echoed in the corridor, filled with anger and resentment.
