The farce of the golden mangoes and the laughter of the flower sea
The rain of fluorescent flowers was still falling as Prince Jin chased after Luo Li's pink figure, his dramatic nature completely out of control. The golden light beneath his feet flickered, and he deliberately took hurried and chaotic steps, like a flustered young boy. His shouts grew louder and louder, startling the surrounding fluorescent insects into scattering in all directions.
"Luo Li! Slow down! I can't catch up!"
Prince Jin's voice was seven parts exaggerated and three parts acting, and he even deliberately softened his tone. Paired with his usually cold and hard face, the incongruity was off the charts. As he chased after them, he didn't forget to raise his hand to pretend to wipe away non-existent sweat. His golden hair was blown into a mess by the wind, and he looked nothing like the god of war from the fairy realm.
Luo Li flew lightly ahead, her pink skirt brushing against the flowers, leaving a faint fragrance in her wake. Hearing the incessant shouts behind her, her ears turned slightly red, but she tried to suppress her laughter, deliberately adjusting her speed by sometimes fast and sometimes slow, and occasionally glancing back at him, her teasing eyes impossible to hide.
"Who asked you to chase after me!" Luo Li's voice came with a laugh, as clear and crisp as the wind chimes. "If you're so capable, then hurry up!"
Upon hearing this, Prince Jin became even more aroused. He suddenly sped up, his golden figure leaving a streak of light in the sea of flowers, shouting even more outrageous things: "My little darling, wait for me! If you get lost, where will I find such a beautiful wife!"
Upon hearing this, even Jianpeng, who was chasing butterflies, stumbled and almost fell into the grass. Chen Sisi covered her mouth, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably, while Blue Peacock burst out laughing, completely abandoning her elegant demeanor. Shu Yan adjusted his glasses, shook his head helplessly, but his eyes were full of amusement.
On the other side, Wen Zike was fully awake. She sat on the grass, her little hand supporting her chin, blinking her big eyes as she watched the two chasing figures, muttering, "Prince Jin is so silly, he's even better at playing house than me."
Clover squatted beside her, her green eyes curving into crescents. She finally understood: this Prince Jin wasn't really trying to pursue her; he was clearly using the excuse to frolic in the sea of flowers.
Prince Jin was still acting with all his might, chasing Luo Li's figure through flower bushes. Sunlight shone on his golden hair, making his dazzling golden radiance seem even more down-to-earth. He probably didn't even realize that the smile on his face had long since transformed from a deliberate performance into a genuine and heartfelt joy.
