The warmth of the languid golden flower sea
On the picnic blanket amidst the fluorescent flower field, colorful wild fruits and sweet snacks were laid out. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the petals, casting dappled shadows on the fabric. Jin Wangzi was pulled by Wen Zike to sit on the edge of the picnic blanket, his long legs awkwardly curled up, his lips drooping listlessly, and even his eyebrows and eyes drooping. He looked like a victim who had been forced to attend a party, with no desire to play at all.
Wen Zike held up a bright red wild fruit and brought it close to him, calling out softly, "Prince Jin, try this, it's super sweet!" Prince Jin glanced at the glistening fruit, said nothing, and didn't reach out to take it. He simply turned his head to one side, his golden hair falling down and concealing the impatience in his eyes.
Bright Colors came over and teased him, waving the fluorescent grass in his hand: "Hey! Prince Jin, why are you like a stone? Come play hide-and-seek!" Prince Jin's brows furrowed even more, and the corners of his mouth drooped even lower, as if he didn't even have the strength to refuse, only squeezing out a muffled "no" from his throat.
Luo Li sat opposite him, looking at his listless appearance, and couldn't help but chuckle. She reached out and held a peeled fruit to his lips: "Don't look so sullen, have a taste. Jasmine specially picked this for you." Prince Jin's eyelashes trembled, and when he caught a glimpse of Luo Li's smiling eyes out of the corner of his eye, he finally didn't look away. He opened his mouth slightly and let the sweet fruit fall into his mouth.
A sweet taste spread across his tongue, and his tense face seemed to soften slightly, but his lips still drooped listlessly, showing no sign of pleasure. Clover squatted beside Wen Zike, looking at his awkward appearance, and couldn't help but think to herself: This Prince Jin probably really doesn't like crowds.
The Ye Luoli warriors didn't press him any further, simply chatting and playing games among themselves, their laughter mingling with the rustling of falling petals. Prince Jin sat to the side, listening to the commotion around him, his fingertips unconsciously picking at the edge of the picnic blanket, his lips still drooping, but he no longer showed any sign of wanting to leave.
