Chen Jingrong's fear continued to grow, as if Ning Yao were a vengeful ghost.
She bit her lip tightly, and even though her body was trembling like a leaf, she didn't utter a sound.
"You won't talk? Then you'll never speak again."
As Ning Yao finished speaking, a cold light flashed, and Chen Jingrong let out a scream.
Her tendons in her hands and feet were severed, rendering her a cripple.
Ning Yao frowned slightly and said with disgust, "I forgot to mute you first, you're too noisy."
After she finished speaking, Chen Jingrong felt her mouth being pried open and something being fed into her mouth, which she then swallowed down her throat.
Chen Jingrong stared at Ning Yao in horror, her eyes filled with fear and disbelief.
Before the pain in my hands and feet had subsided, another sharp pain shot through my abdomen.
It spreads upwards from the abdomen all the way to the neck.
She felt a burning pain, and although she could scream a moment ago, she could no longer make a sound.
In her eyes, Ning Yao was like a ruthless killer.
This scene seemed to remind her of something.
Ning Yao sneered: "Do you think I'm helping Chen Xuanrong get revenge?"
"You can think that way if you want, since you're a good-for-nothing anyway."
"As for Mr. Chen..."
Ning Yao's eyes were sharp as she quickly mobilized her spiritual energy, spreading it in all directions.
Soon they spotted figures hiding in the nearby woods.
The enemy outnumbered them, and Chen Sheng originally wanted to escape. He believed that as long as he found someone from the Tianyun Sect, he would be safe.
How could Ning Yao possibly give him another chance?
The spiritual energy quickly wrapped around Chen Sheng's body. Ning Yao's heart stirred, and she immediately tightened the spiritual energy, binding Chen Sheng tightly.
Chen Sheng was horrified. He couldn't see any actual rope, but he felt as if he were tightly bound.
He instinctively tried to struggle, but the more he struggled, the tighter he was bound.
In an instant, Chen Sheng was pulled in front of the crowd.
As soon as Chen Jingrong saw him, she tried to crawl towards him.
Unfortunately, his tendons in his hands and feet were severed, rendering him unable to move. He wanted to accuse Ning Yao of her evil deeds, but he couldn't utter a sound.
Chen Sheng fell to the ground in a disheveled state, trying to struggle to get up, but was firmly held down.
"You're quite the runner, aren't you?" Ning Yao said coldly.
Chen Sheng struggled to lift his head and look at Ning Yao: "I have no grudge against you, young lady, and we are complete strangers. What are you doing?"
Ning Yao scoffed: "No grudges? You took her away, does that mean you have no grudges against me?"
Chen Sheng glanced at Chen Jingrong and said indifferently, "I don't know her, nor do I know why she's here."
Chen Sheng's casual dismissal of Chen Jingrong surprised her.
The next second, Chen Jingrong began to twist rapidly. Unable to move or speak, she could only look at Chen Sheng in panic.
It seemed to be questioning why he pretended not to know her?
Unfortunately, Chen Sheng was cold-hearted by nature, and faced with the miserable state of Chen Jingrong, he only wanted to protect himself.
Ning Yao laughed, squatted down and patted Chen Jingrong's face: "Look at him, how he discards her after she's served her purpose, could you have predicted that?"
"Back then, you conspired with him to prey on the people around me. Do you think a shady insect like him could possibly stand up to me?"
“Chen Jingrong, if you apologize to your elder sister and repent properly, perhaps you wouldn’t have ended up like this, out of respect for the Jiang and Chen families.”
"Unfortunately, one wrong step led to another."
Chen Jingrong lay limply on the ground, seemingly lifeless.
Ning Yao looked at Chen Sheng: "You gave her the things, and you also instructed her to give them to the doctor at Jishetang, right?"
Chen Sheng was surprised for a second. Few people in the world knew about that thing. How did she know?
Chen Sheng's thoughts raced, and soon a bold idea came to him.
"You're the man who was with Yun Xiang and Nan Shan that day! You're actually the same person!"
"You got it right, but there's no reward. You might even suffer some physical pain."
Chen Sheng glared at Ning Yao with hatred: "Who exactly are you?"
Ning Yao's lips curled slightly: "Didn't you even bother to find out who owns the Ning family manor outside the city?"
"Or did you not inquire about my father's name?"
"Does the name Ning Wenyi sound familiar? My fourth uncle?"
Chen Sheng tensed up immediately and blurted out, "Are you Second Brother's child?"
He paused for a moment, as if remembering something, and said incredulously, "Are you really the person Father is looking for?"
Ning Yao said, "Didn't I tell you already? You just didn't believe me."
Chen Sheng's face was filled with disbelief: "How could it be you? How is this possible... I clearly already..."
The sound stopped abruptly as he recalled what had happened in the Ning family's underground warehouse.
His gaze toward Ning Yao now held a hint of envy, but even more so, jealousy.
"You stole the family's treasure, deceived innocent people, imprisoned others, and now you've burned down the Netherworld Divine Tree. From beginning to end, you've been coveting what doesn't belong to you. This is the consequence of your actions. Do you still think you deserve it?"
Ning Yao's light words struck Chen Sheng's heart heavily.
He was a prodigy, and his father had high hopes for him.
Later, the person who followed his father became his nephew, and all the adoration he had received vanished in an instant. This disparity caused Chen Sheng to feel twisted and resentful.
Ning Yao waved her hand, and a stream of turbid energy flowed into Chen Sheng's body. He instantly felt the pain of his soul being torn apart.
Although Ning Yao had already crippled his skills, he remained the high and mighty "Master" thanks to the connections he had built up over the years.
Now that he's in Ning Yao's hands, he'd rather be dead.
The turbid energy surged wildly within his body, and he could not withstand it for more than a few breaths.
Inside the Ning family ancestral hall, far away on Qianhuan Mountain, the eternal lamp belonging to Ning Wensheng flickered.
Upon sensing this, Ning Shaoyuan frowned, his expression turning grim.
"What is this rebellious son up to now!"
As the ever-burning lamp grew dimmer, Ning Shaoyuan finally couldn't sit still any longer.
With a flicker, he disappeared into the main hall.
The scenery around Thousand Illusion Mountain distorted slightly, and an old man with white hair walked straight out and headed down the mountain.
It was none other than Ning Shaoyuan, who had just been in the main hall.
He quickly calculated with his fingers, then looked towards the direction of Kunlun Ridge, and the next second he hurried off there.
Ning Yao looked at Chen Sheng, who was in great pain, without any emotion in her eyes.
Even if this person is a blood relative of hers, it is unforgivable if they cross her bottom line.
Ning Yao spread her five fingers and released her spiritual power, binding Chen Sheng and Chen Jingrong tightly.
Finally, she looked at the other members of Chen Sheng's group, and with a swift movement of her hand, they were all killed.
"Zhao Heng, you'd better pray that this has nothing to do with you, otherwise your Zhao family will surely be doomed!"
Ning Yao's icy voice reached Zhao Heng's ears, sending a chill down his spine.
The oppressive atmosphere around him rendered him speechless.
"Let's go!"
