When we first entered this cave, there were lush green fluorite on both sides, while the exit side was just ordinary rocks and a cave.
When I ran to the exit, I found a row of pottery jars along the wall of the cave. Because of their age, many of the jars were broken, and inside were dried-up little babies.
When Jiang Man saw me stop, she tugged at my wrist: "What are you standing there for? Let's go!"
I pointed to both sides of the opening: "Can't you see those jars in the corner?"
"What jar?"
Jiang Man looked in the direction I was pointing and said, "There's nothing there, but there are strange patterns on the wall, like scribbles, and I can't figure out what the pattern is!"
After listening to Jiang Man's words, I shone my flashlight on the wall but didn't find any patterns.
Just as Jiang Man and I were staring at the wall, Song Laosan rushed up and shoved us hard: "Why aren't you two running? What are you standing there for!"
"Walk!"
Seeing that many more pupae around me had cracks, I grabbed Jiang Man's hand and rushed out.
Leaving the cave, we found ourselves facing a cliff. An underground river, flowing through the mountain, formed a waterfall not far away, its spray creating a thunderous roar beneath our feet.
As we ran out, two members of the Wei family stayed behind to cover our retreat. After the last one ran out, he turned around and looked around: "Young Miss, the things in the cave didn't come out. Could it be related to the inscription on this wall?"
