Chapter 79: Love Your Wife and Stay with Her

Chapter 79: Love Your Wife and Stay with Her

Gu Chuyue paused her sobs, raised her wet face from Qin Mu's neck, and looked at him with hazy eyes: "...Really?"

"Really." Qin Mu said firmly, wiping away his tears with his fingertips, "I'm not lying to you."

"Will you stay with me the whole day?" Gu Chuyue confirmed, as persistent as a little child.

"Yes, all day." Qin Mu promised.

Gu Chuwang seemed finally satisfied, and his intense emotions slowly subsided, but he still held Qin Mu tightly, sobbing and muttering softly: "You said you would never lie to me again..."

"I'm not lying to you." Qin Mu tried to pull him up, "Get up and go to bed. The floor is cold."

"No, I can't move..." Gu Chuyue was playing tricks, pressing all his weight on Qin Mu. His eyes were almost closed, and he was still mumbling, "I need to hold you while I sleep... I need to smell my wife's scent... before I can fall asleep..."

Qin Mu sighed, looking at this drunk guy who was as soft as a puddle but still extremely persistent, and resigned himself to his fate by adjusting his posture to make him lean more comfortably.

It seems there's no chance of getting him back to the bedroom tonight.

I felt the person in my arms' breathing gradually steady, and the aggrieved feeling that still sobbed from time to time.

He suddenly remembered that a long time ago, he needed to extend his business trip abroad, but he just mentioned it on the phone.

That night, I received a long-distance call from the housekeeper, saying that the young master had caught a cold after soaking in ice water, had a high fever that wouldn't go away, and kept calling for his brother in a daze.

His heart seemed to be gripped tightly at that moment. He immediately dealt with the key matters as quickly as possible and almost immediately changed to the nearest flight to fly back.

When he got home, the child with red cheeks from the fever was still like this, clinging to the corner of his clothes tightly, tears streaming down his face with grievance, and said in a hoarse voice: "Brother... don't leave me."

The person in his arms moved restlessly and muttered something in his sleep: "Brother...my..."

Qin Mu tightened his arms and lowered his head to kiss Gu Chuyue's sweaty forehead.

Forget it, I spoiled him like that. What else can I do except continue to spoil him?

Qin Mu's eyes fell on the notebook that fell on the ground, without reading what was written on it.

After putting it down for Gu Chuyue, he patted Gu Chuyue's back gently, like coaxing a child.

It was not until the other person fell completely asleep that he carefully moved his numb arm, and in this awkward position, he slowly closed his eyes.

The moonlight poured in through the gaps in the curtains, enveloping the two people hugging each other.

Qin Mu woke up to a subtle but persistent noise.

It was just dawn, and the dim morning light filtered through the gaps in the curtains and fell onto the carpet.

He felt like his arms were a furnace, incredibly hot.

He looked down and saw that Gu Chuyue had woken up at some point. He was staring at him without blinking, with his eyes bloodshot from drunkenness and lack of sleep.

The completely confused grievance from last night was no longer in his eyes, and he had regained some clarity, but underneath was a thicker, more paranoid darkness.

Like a wolf confirming its territory, he rubbed Qin Mu's collarbone with the tip of his nose, his breath hot, with the residual smell of alcohol and uneasiness.

"Awake?" Qin Mu had just woken up, his voice lazily hoarse. He moved his arm, which was numb from being pressed. "Does your head hurt?"

Gu Chuyue didn't answer, but tightened his arms, pulling Qin Mu deeper into his arms, with such force that it was almost suffocating.

He buried his head in Qin Mu's neck and took a deep breath, as if he wanted to completely integrate his scent into his bones and blood.

"Wife, stay with me." He said in a hoarse voice. These two words seemed to be reminding Qin Mu, and also seemed to be reminding himself.

"Yes, I'll keep you company." Qin Mu laughed, pinching the back of his neck with his fingertips, "I promised you, I haven't forgotten. I don't have classes today, so I won't go to the company. I'll stay home with you."

Gu Chuyue was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly raised his head and stared at Qin Mu with sharp eyes: "What happened to the project? Who caused the trouble?"

The tone was more like an interrogation than a question.

Qin Mu knew him too well. He flicked his forehead with his finger and said, "Stop overthinking. Just solve the routine technical problems."

Gu Chuyue didn't believe it. He pressed his lips into a sharp straight line and looked at Qin Mu with gloomy eyes, as if judging whether he was hiding something.

Qin Mu was helpless with his gaze, so he took the initiative to move forward and kissed the corner of his tense lips: "It's really okay. I was just delayed and didn't have time to pick you up. It's my fault."

This dragonfly-like kiss was like a key that instantly turned on a switch in Gu Chuyue's body.

The sinister look in his eyes was instantly replaced by another more intense emotion. The hand pressing on Qin Mu's back suddenly exerted force, almost biting him to deepen the kiss.

With the bitterness of a night's hangover and an almost brutal possessiveness, he attacked the city and would not tolerate rejection.

Qin Mu was breathless from his kiss, and he gently pushed his shoulder to get a little breathing space.

"I didn't brush my teeth..." Qin Mu tilted his head slightly, his breathing a little unstable.

"Mine." Gu Chuyue stared at his shimmering lips, rubbing them with his thumb. His voice was low and paranoid, "My taste."

He seemed to want to use his own aura to completely cover up any traces of strangeness that Qin Mu might have picked up during the days he was away.

Qin Mu looked at him like this and sighed indulgently: "Okay, it's yours, all yours."

Sure enough, when people get older, they can’t bear to see children looking pitiful.

After receiving a positive answer, Gu Chuyue's hostility subsided a little, but he still refused to let go. He buried his face in her hand and said in a sweet voice: "I'm hungry, wife."

"What do you want to eat? I'll make it." Qin Mu tried to get up, but was hugged even tighter.

"You're not allowed to leave. Do it," Gu Chuyue immediately objected, his arms clamped like iron clamps, "I, okay?"

"..." Qin Mu followed suit, smiling, and kissed the man in a daze.

When the relatives came up, he leaned over to grab his phone, skillfully found a porridge shop he often ordered, and placed an order for a light breakfast. "Lotus seed porridge, it will help reduce internal heat."

Ask someone to add some kudzu vine rice and dried tangerine peel.

Gu Chuyue was stunned, then reacted and stuck to it again.

During the whole process, Qin Mu was held in Gu Chuyue's arms.

Gu Chuyue was like a human pendant, clinging tightly to Qin Mu, kissing him here and smelling him there from time to time.

While waiting for the takeaway, Qin Mu wanted to go wash up. As soon as he moved, Gu Chuyue immediately looked up alertly.

"Let's go together." He put his arm around Qin Mu's waist without saying anything and half-carried and half-dragged him into the bathroom.

In front of the mirror, Qin Mu squeezed toothpaste, and Gu Chuyue hugged him from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder, staring at him obediently through the mirror.

When Qin Mu was brushing his teeth, he took his own toothbrush and followed his movements mechanically, but his eyes were always glued to Qin Mu.

This almost pathological level of clinginess made Qin Mu feel as if he was back to a few months ago, when Gu Chuyue had just "tied" him to his side, and he also felt so insecure and never left her side.

After washing up, the takeaway arrived.

In the restaurant, Gu Chuyue was finally willing to relax a little, but he had to sit next to Qin Mu with their legs pressed tightly together.

He had no appetite, so he scooped the porridge from the bowl and ate it very slowly. He would look up at Qin Mu after every few bites.

Qin Mu didn't want to admit that this little pervert was his own.
