Chapter 22 Oversleeping
That night, the moonlight is bright.
In the private club shrouded in darkness, most of the windows are dark, like a quiet palace with circling lights, perfectly hidden in the mountains and forests.
The man sat crookedly on the sofa, looking expressionlessly at the somewhat desolate night scene outside the window. Neon lights and tall buildings were all gaudy and illusory, like mirages.
The collar of his nightgown was loose, revealing his strong, fair chest, which gleamed in the cold moonlight.
The man pushed his glasses lazily and poured himself a glass of red wine.
A tall figure in a neat suit walked quietly into the door, his steps steady and his feet landed silently.
He bowed respectfully to the man on the sofa.
"Master, all the people we sent were killed."
"Well," the man looked out the window, rubbing his long fingers against the wine glass in his hand, "If he could be killed by such a few people, then I think highly of him."
There wasn't a trace of surprise in his tone, as if this was something he had expected.
"And Li Jiang..."
The man in the nightgown raised his eyebrows slightly and asked calmly, "Is he dead?"
"His eyes were gouged out, his hands were chopped off, and his hamstrings were severed."
The man snorted coldly, raised the wine glass in his hand and shook it lightly. He was not very satisfied with the red wine sticking to the wall. He took a sip and frowned his somewhat seductive face.
"It's useless now, let's get rid of it."
The figure nodded slightly, "That woman..."
"Keep an eye on it."
"yes."

Cheng Yi sat on the edge of the bed, stretched out his big hand, and gently rubbed Lu Qian's tightly furrowed brows.
There were still two small teeth marks on the hand, and the red bloodstains had already scabbed over. The small wound looked a little ridiculous on Cheng Yi's strong arm.
Seeing the teeth marks, the man's cold brows softened a little, and there was a gloomy look in his eyes.
"So weak."
Cheng Yi rubbed the tear marks under Lu Qian's eyes and muttered in a low voice.
Rough fingers stroked across Lu Qian's pale cheek to the peak of her lips. Her lips still had red bite marks, dry and rosy.
Her weak eyelashes trembled slightly, as if she couldn't rest in her sleep.
Cheng Yi knew that this was inappropriate, but looking at this pitiful face, he actually felt a little tempted.
Suddenly I recalled that no matter when, Lu Qian was always extremely gentle and seemed to have no extreme emotions.
Her temperament is as soft as her lips, completely submissive.
Cheng Yi found it hard to imagine that there would be such a person in his world, and he had never thought about how to deal with Lu Qian's appearance.
Or maybe she shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Cheng Yi lowered his eyes and raised his hand to turn off the lights in the room.
The moonlight tonight is quiet and bright. It is a rare full moon night with no clouds and no wind.
The moon shone on Lu Qian's sleeping face, and she was as light as a veil and as beautiful as jade.
Even though there was no light in the room, the view was still filled with a faint blue.
Cheng Yi took off his coat, lifted the corner of the quilt and held Lu Qian in his arms.
He just felt that her hand was very cold, and her body was indeed even colder, with her body temperature several degrees lower than his.
While Lu Qian was in a coma, he felt the coldness in his body suddenly dispelled.
She groaned in comfort and rubbed herself hard against the heat source, trying to increase the contact area with the heat source as much as possible.
Cheng Yi looked in astonishment at the woman clinging to him like an octopus. She seemed very satisfied with this position. She put her little head on his chest and laughed heartily.
That delicate and cute baby face showed a cute and innocent expression, which touched Cheng Yi's heart.
A rare warm smile appeared on the man's cold face. He raised his hand and gently stroked Lu Qian's little head, stroking her soft long hair, and coaxed in a deep voice: "Go to sleep."
The moonlight passed away along with time, and finally disappeared into the valley.
The rising glow from the twilight gradually spread across the sky, and the bright sun rose higher and higher until it was noon.
On the bed, the man's strong arms were wrapped around the sleeping person.
Cheng Yi's eyelashes moved, and he slowly opened his eyes and woke up from his sleep.
He lowered his head slightly and saw Lu Qian still sleeping peacefully in his arms, his pale face now rosy again.
Cheng Yi subconsciously squinted his eyes at the gap in the curtains, and the sunlight coming in did not look like early morning at all.
Then he frowned, picked up his watch and looked at the time.
Cheng Yi was stunned for a moment.
It's ten o'clock?
He has been sleeping till now?
Not only did he sleep so soundly, he also overslept.
Cheng Yi threw down his watch and pinched his nose hard. Was he too relaxed around Lu Qian?
Since the day he started his devilish training more than ten years ago, Cheng Yi has hardly had a full night's sleep. He remains highly alert at all times. Even sounds like white noise can make him react quickly in his sleep. It is no exaggeration to say that he sleeps with one eye open.
And his ridiculously punctual biological clock doesn't allow him to wake up later than five o'clock.
But he just...slept with it?
Cheng Yi sighed, gently moved Lu Qian back to the pillow, and tidied the quilt for her.
She smacked her lips in her sleep, her slightly dry lips slightly opened, revealing a bit of her front teeth.
Cheng Yi burst out laughing. It really looks like a rabbit.
Qi Huang and Ling Shuo were already waiting outside the door.
When the two saw Cheng Yi coming out of the house, they said in unison:
"Master,"
Ling Shuo looked up and saw Cheng Yi's messy hair and sleepy face. His eyes widened. "Boss, did you just wake up?"
“…”
Cheng Yi remained silent with a cold face.
Seeing this reaction, Ling Shuo's pupils shrank instantly. He seemed to have said something too much... Would Cheng Yi throw him into the sea?
He turned and looked at Qi Huang beside him, as if asking for help.
Qi Huang shrugged: You speak too quickly, there's nothing I can do, brother.
Ling Shuo: ...
Qi Huang was also muttering in his heart. He and Ling Shuo's body functions were already very inhuman, and Cheng Yi was even more devilish than both of them.
When Cheng Yi goes crazy, he doesn't need to sleep at all. He takes the mercenary group to the rainforest for special training. He can stay alert for four days without sleep and even wake up instantly when a bug flies by.
Those days were simply the "good" times that neither of them, the Black and White Impermanence, wanted to recall.
How could such a person oversleep?
"elder brother."
Just when Ling Shuo was imagining how he would die, Qu Le's voice appeared at the right time.
Ling Shuo quickly bowed to Cheng Yi and said loudly, "Master, I'll go get the car ready!"
Then he fled the scene in a flash.
Qu Le walked slowly to Cheng Yi and asked, "Is Lu Qian awake?"
She was a little surprised when she saw Cheng Yi for the first time. Her devilish brother had been sleeping until now?
Cheng Yi raised his hand to smooth his messy hair and shook his head slightly.
"Don't worry," Qu Le stuck out his tongue and licked his lips. "Jiang Luan said she hasn't been getting enough sleep lately. It's normal for her to sleep all day after this injection."
Then he walked up to Cheng Yi and patted his arm, "Take her back to Hengxiang Pavilion first."
