Chapter 30 Bai Yao

Chapter 30 Bai Yao

Baiqing Mansion.

East 9th District, July 17th, time 19:30.

In the most prosperous neighborhood of Pingjing, where every inch of land is valuable, there stands a magnificent private residence.

A luxury sports car came speeding down the block, passed the artificial garden surrounding the house, which was as big as a scenic spot, and stopped suddenly at the corner.

The car door slowly rose, and a handsome man and beautiful woman walked out.

"Jiang Luan, I think you look quite like a human being after you dress up."

Qu Le was wearing a light green evening gown. She looked at Jiang Luan, who was standing beside her with his hair done up and dark circles hidden under his eyes, and was wearing a black suit.

"Aha~" Jiang Luan yawned loudly first, and subconsciously raised his hand to adjust his glasses, but felt nothing.

"What's the point of looking like a human being? I'm not one anyway."

Qu Le laughed hoarsely and tapped the buckle on his ear. "Brother, Jiang Luan and I checked. Lu Qian is not in Pingjing Tower. We are already at Baiqing Mansion."

"Yeah, okay."

Qu Le turned to look at Jiang Luan, "My brother told us to go see Bai Yao first."

When Jiang Luan heard this, his face twitched. He said that he shouldn't have followed him. He didn't expect that in addition to looking for someone, he also had to meet someone. He might as well just kill him.

Qu Le took Jiang Luan's arm, narrowed his eyes and smiled, "Don't look so sad, you don't have to say anything."

The two of them slowly walked into this magnificent private residence.

In the courtyard with ancient charm, there are beautiful waterside pavilions and vermilion-railed corridors.

There are bluestone water troughs and lotus column reliefs on both sides, green curtains and green tents, and bamboo forests around. How can it be described as quiet and elegant.

The main building is simple and elegant, with a full oriental charm.

I heard that it was designed by a Han Chinese architect a hundred years ago, and it is ten times or even a hundred times more luxurious than anything in their native Japan.

Qu Le has never cared about things like the scenery of houses, but this scenery is really refreshing when it comes into view.

The venue was filled with the clinking of glasses and delicious food.

It is magnificent and brightly lit.

Jiang Luan was not as slow and leisurely as Qu Le. He didn't like such a luxurious house in the first place, and with so many people gathered in the main hall, he wished he could find a pit to bury himself in.

Jiang Luan sighed uneasily, smacked his lips, and pulled Qu Le's hand off his arm. "I'm going to find a place to hide for a while. Call me if you have any action."

Qu Le was stunned. She knew Jiang Luan was afraid of people, but she didn't expect him to be so afraid.

Will he degenerate to the point where he will die on seeing strangers?

She laughed awkwardly and rubbed her nose. "Go ahead. I'll call you if something happens."

Qu Le walked slowly to the dessert table in the center of the main hall, picked up a pudding, and ate while looking at the situation in the banquet hall.

The Baiqing Society is indeed the largest gang in East Asia. Almost all the prominent figures in Asia appeared at the venue.

Qu Le glanced around, as if he had found something good. The corners of his mouth curled up, and he whispered, "Hey, Luo Chuan, guess who I saw?"

Luo Chuan on the other end of the communicator was a little curious: "Who?"

"The prince in Bangkok."

Luo Chuan was puzzled: "Who is that?"

"The one with the 200 million reward for your capture."

"Oh, I remember now. Last time, the boss sent me to steal their jade Buddha," Luo Chuan said suddenly. "The problem is, it weighs over a ton! How am I supposed to steal it? Seeing I couldn't steal it, I wrote 'Luo Chuan was here' on it."

"That guy can't afford to play tricks on me. I didn't even steal anything, but he wrote a few words and then issued an international reward for my capture."

Qu Le pursed his lips and chuckled, "Only you can do this."

"Haha, you can too."

While flirting with Luo Chuan, Qu Le felt a sharp chill coming from behind her, approaching her step by step.

She turned around and saw a man in a white suit coming towards her.

Qu Le quickly looked at the man who was slowly walking towards her.

Her face is more Asian, but she has a very fair complexion, upturned eyes, and a light brown teardrop mole at the corner of her eye. She is extremely charming, and she wears a pair of silver-rimmed glasses on her delicate nose. She is smiling gently, but the light shining through the glasses is cold.

He was tall and thin, with sunken cheeks. His viciousness hidden beneath his calmness was like a python lurking in the rainforest, waiting for its chance to strike.

If Cheng Yi is the self-centered king who makes people submit and believe in him; then the man in front of him is the cynical Yama who makes people fear and sink.

"Dr. K, I've long heard of you."

The man walked up to Qu Le and spoke with a smile.

His voice was clear and elegant, gentle and magnetic, unlike his face which was sharp and evil, but his tone was light and no emotion could be heard.

Qu Le swung the spoon in his hand carelessly, scooped up a mouthful of pudding and put it into his mouth, "Master Bai, you've got the wrong person."

"Haha," Bai Yaoyouxian smiled, "That's right. After all, without one person, it's not a complete Dr. K, right, Ms. Kilo?"

Qu Le scooped the last bit of pudding from the bottom of the plate into his mouth, then threw the empty plate away and it landed safely on the waiter's tray in the distance.

"You're quite well-informed," Qu Le rubbed the corner of her mouth, glanced up, and looked indifferently at the man in front of her who was half a head taller than her, "But I still hope you can call me, Miss Qu."

"Ms. Qu," Bai Yao smiled softly, "You and your partner are amazing. You were able to break into my security system, which cost me 700 million yuan, in just three months. You were also able to calculate the optimal route for Cheng Yi to steal data in just one minute after the security system crashed and recovered."

"Thank you for the compliment," Qu Le narrowed his eyes and smiled slyly, "but I'll return the second half of the sentence. It has nothing to do with me."

Bai Yao nodded in appreciation, raised the wine glass in his hand, and leaned towards Qu Le, "Miss Qu is really tight-lipped."

Qu Le lowered his eyes and glanced at Bai Yao's actions. "You can't drink much, so you don't drink. You should keep this cup and clink it with Cheng Yi."

Bai Yao took back his wine glass and smiled easily, "Whatever price Cheng Yi gives you, I'll give you double. Do you want to consider it?"

Qu Le was stunned for a moment, as if he had not expected Bai Yao to offer such a condition.

"Boss Bai, I know you can afford the price Cheng Yi offered," she closed her eyes slightly, hiding the emotions in her eyes, "but you should also know that we, the group that followed Cheng Yi and risked our lives, didn't want money at all."

Qu Le raised her hand and gently placed it on Bai Yao's shoulder. She leaned closer to the man in front of her and whispered in his ear with an ambiguous tone, "If we only talk about this, it would be too vulgar."

"Ahem."

Bai Yao coughed and chuckled, then glanced sideways at the girl in front of him. His cold and charming fox eyes were unfathomable, filled with indifference and calmness that was inconsistent with his age.

"Then I hope that one day I can offer the price Miss Qu wants."

Qu Le smiled without comment, raised his eyes to look at the Roman clock hanging in the middle hall of the conference hall, the hands of which were approaching eight o'clock.

"The time is almost up, you should go and get ready to welcome the distinguished guests."
