Chapter 209 A Life Not Destined to Die
Shangguan Qinghuan was astonished to see that Qiuxia and the giant sword were unable to move an inch in mid-air under Ling Xueyan's attack.

Ling Xueyan didn't even glance at her, and replied indifferently, "She's just a petty scoundrel from the martial arts world. Her methods in fighting with this young master were despicable, so I had to teach her a lesson!"
"I see!" Ling Qichen had always trusted Ling Xueyan's words since childhood, so he didn't think much of it and asked no further questions. Judging from the person's disheveled appearance, he couldn't possibly recognize Qiu Xia. His gaze then flickered to Shangguan Qinghuan, "You two know each other?"
Shangguan Qinghuan clutched her chest and exclaimed, "This is the first time I've met this young lady. If she hadn't saved me today, I would probably be a dead man by now."

“Okay!” Ling Xueyan nodded in response, and the three of them headed together towards the army’s camp.
Qiuxia choked back tears and murmured to herself: I can't die! I must live, live to see Xiaoyao Lang! Otherwise, he will search for me for the rest of his life...
With immense conviction in her heart, she struggled to move her weak body, picked up the sword from the ground to support herself, and slowly stood up, her steps faltering as she left.
Deep in the forest ditch, Dou Dou woke up from her unconsciousness. She shook her head and muttered to herself, "I'm still alive..." She braced herself with her hands and felt a soft sensation. She then realized that there was someone under her!
"Ah!" she exclaimed, taking a step back in fright. Gasping for breath, she looked at the unconscious man. His handsome face overwhelmed her fear, and she couldn't help but reach out her small hand to check his nostrils. Her face lit up with joy: "He's still breathing!"
He immediately stood up, picked a large leaf from the side, fetched some water from the ditch, and splashed it on the man's unconscious face.
The effect was immediate. Xiaoyaolang woke up and subconsciously wiped his face. When he opened his eyes, he saw a girl who looked about fourteen or fifteen years old.
"You're awake!" DouDou said happily.
Xiaoyao Lang sat up, looked around, and realized he was in a deep ravine. "Where am I? Did you save me?"
DouDou shook her head, pouted, and said unhappily, "You saved me."
Xiaoyao Lang looked puzzled. "I saved you?! What do you mean?"
DouDou replied softly, "I was going to find Grandma, but you suddenly appeared out of nowhere and knocked me down."
"Oh!" Xiaoyao Lang was half-understanding, but seeing her pitiful appearance, he couldn't help but ask with concern, "Where did your grandma go?" After saying that, he straightened his clothes.
“Dead,” DouDou replied, choking back tears.
Those two simple words startled Xiaoyao Lang. He stopped what he was doing and thought back, only to realize that the little girl was preparing to commit suicide! He quickly got up and said with concern, "Little girl! Don't do anything foolish! It's so good to be alive. If you can't think straight and throw your life away, your grandmother will never forgive you."
Upon hearing this, Dou Dou's tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks. She sobbed, "But...but I can't go on living. I'm all alone, helpless and destitute. No one wants to hire me. They either want to sell me to the army, or...or make me a concubine. I can't do it...Waaah..."
