Chapter 51: Silver Halberd and Iron Hammer

Chapter 51: Silver Halberd and Iron Hammer

Two of the four games have been played, with each side winning one game.

Murong Hanchan smiled at Shi Jiquan and said, "Chief Shi, please begin the third round."

Shi Jiquan looked at the group and asked, "Brothers, which of you will accept this challenge?"

Lü Zhong stepped forward and said, "I'll do it!" Then, he took his halberd and leaped in.

Xie Yunfeng glanced at everyone, then stepped into the air, sword in hand.

The two exchanged a glance, and in an instant, they unleashed their deadly attacks. The silver halberd gleamed, and as Lü Zhong spun and swung it, it carried a powerful and domineering force. The halberd and sword clashed, sparks flying, and the silver halberd swept across the ground, kicking up three feet of dust.

After several exchanges, Xie Yunfeng, seeing the overwhelming power of the silver halberd, stopped directly confronting the attacks. Instead, he used unorthodox footwork, his figure graceful and fluid, moving back and forth between Lü Zhong's sides, using the momentum to deflect attacks and waiting for an opportunity to strike with his sword.

Seeing Xie Yunfeng skillfully dodge his attacks, avoiding a direct confrontation and causing several of his strikes to miss, Lü Zhong was instantly enraged. He gripped his halberd and launched a rapid attack, aiming straight for Xie Yunfeng's chest. Xie Yunfeng, seeing this, dodged to the side and raised his sword to parry Lü Zhong's halberd-wielding hand.

Lu Zhong lowered his halberd, leaning back as the silver halberd passed between the two men in mid-air. He swiftly grabbed the end of the halberd and, with a rapid two-handed motion, swung it upwards. Forced by the momentum, Xie Yunfeng spun several times in mid-air. The moment he landed, the silver halberd was upon him, aimed straight for his chest. Xie Yunfeng blocked with his sword at the waist, and with a clang, Lu Zhong's halberd sent Xie Yunfeng staggering back several steps.

Xie Yunfeng retreated to the fence, finding no further escape, and with a palm strike of his left hand, cleaved the silver halberd in two, immediately dodging to the side. The halberd, cleaved, pierced the wooden fence, and as Lü Zhong pulled back, three sections of the fence snapped in two. Lü Zhong then swept the halberd horizontally, and Xie Yunfeng leaped into the air; the force of the halberd's strike severed a three-foot-wide section of the wooden fence.

Xie Yunfeng swung his sword down from mid-air, and Lü Zhong wildly blocked it with his halberd. Several clangs rang out, accompanied by sparks. In an instant, Xie Yunfeng did a backflip in mid-air, kicking his feet towards Lü Zhong's chest. Seeing this, Lü Zhong withdrew his silver halberd and held it horizontally to block. Xie Yunfeng's feet landed on the waist of the halberd, and Lü Zhong was forced back several steps by the force.

Seeing an opening, Xie Yunfeng launched an arrow through the air, his sword flashing as he attacked Lü Zhong's hands. Lü Zhong, caught off guard, dropped his silver halberd. His chest was exposed, and Xie Yunfeng seized the opportunity, leaping into the air and stomping on Lü Zhong's chest. The force sent Lü Zhong flying several feet, and as he looked up, Xie Yunfeng held his sword directly to his throat.

Lü Zhong sighed, "Your swordsmanship is superb; I have lost."

Xie Yunfeng gripped the sword hilt with his right hand and helped Lü Zhong up with his left, laughing, "Your spear technique is superb, I admire you greatly. I am only slightly better at lightness skills."

Lü Zhong smiled and said, "Swordsman, you are too modest. May I ask your name?"

Xie Yunfeng returned the greeting, saying, "My name is Xie Yunfeng."

Lü Zhong: "Xie Yunfeng, I'll remember your name."

With the outcome decided, the two men walked out of the racecourse enclosure.

Xiang Kui shouted, "Oh dear, another round lost! I'll take this round and see who can withstand the might of my iron hammer!" With that, he swung his two large iron hammers and forcefully entered the horse arena.

Yin Xiaosheng looked at everyone and said, "Looks like this round is mine. This guy is so arrogant, I'll teach him a lesson!"

Murong Hanchan said solemnly, "Second Senior Brother, we must not underestimate our enemy."

Yin Xiaosheng laughed and said, "To be honest, looking at those two big iron hammers, I estimate they weigh at least two hundred pounds. I wonder what it would feel like to be hit by them."

Murong Hanchan laughed and said, "Then you'd better be careful. If you get hurt, I won't take care of you!" After saying that, she turned her head to look in the other direction.

Yin Xiaosheng feigned disappointment, glanced at Murong Hanchan, and then leaped into the horse paddock.

When Xiang Kui saw Yin Xiaosheng arrive, he shouted, "You brat, my big iron hammer is incredibly fierce, you'd better watch out!"

Yin Xiaosheng laughed and said, "Thank you for the reminder. Go ahead and make your move!"

Xiang Kui laughed loudly, "Very good!" He then swung his iron hammer above his head, following the iron chain, making a "buzzing" sound, and a strong wind rose around him.

Seeing this, Yin Xiaosheng gathered all his inner energy, drew his sword, and focused his attention to counterattack. Xiang Kui suddenly attacked, his spinning iron hammer striking Yin Xiaosheng with tremendous force. Yin Xiaosheng landed on his feet and leaped backward. The hammer slammed into the ground, sinking more than a foot and kicking up three feet of dust. Yin Xiaosheng swung his sword in mid-air, aiming straight for Xiang Kui's head and neck. Xiang Kui swiftly blocked with his left hammer, then withdrew his right hammer and attacked back and forth.

Yin Xiaosheng moved with the agility of a flea, leaping two zhang high and three zhang far with each bound. His sword moved as fast as lightning, advancing and retreating, striking back and forth.

Feeling utterly humiliated, Xiang Kui unleashed his full power, swinging his two iron hammers in a rapid attack. Dust billowed up across the racetrack, accompanied by a series of clanging sounds: "Clang... Clang... Swoosh... Buzz... Swoosh... Boom!" The two figures clashed back and forth in the air and on the ground. In an instant, Yin Xiaosheng landed. Xiang Kui's right hammer shot out like an arrow, but Yin Xiaosheng blocked it with his sword. The force of the hammer struck him directly, sending him flying back more than ten feet, blood spilling from his mouth.

Murong Hanchan cried out worriedly from the sidelines, "Second Senior Brother!"

Xiang Kui laughed loudly, "How about it, kid! Planning to admit defeat?"

Yin Xiaosheng, supporting himself with his sword and clutching his chest with his left hand, rose and said with a smile, "I admit defeat! Yin Xiaosheng never admits defeat!"

Immediately, he spun his sword, a chilling aura enveloping his entire body, with a powerful protective force on the blade. Instantly, an extremely cold aura permeated the entire arena, and his signature move was unleashed. Yin Xiaosheng shouted boldly, "The Frost Sword Shakes Mountains and Rivers!" Instantly, nine icy swords materialized, locking onto Xiang Kui and launching a single attack.

Seeing that there was no way to avoid it, Xiang Kui spun his two iron hammers to deflect the nine swords. All the onlookers saw were two iron hammers connected to his hands by iron chains, like wooden sticks, spinning powerfully. Instantly, the nine swords collided with the iron hammers, clanging loudly, and the violent force was deflected and struck in all directions.

Just as the nine swords were disarmed, Yin Xiaosheng had already taken to the air, preparing for a series of attacks. He hovered his sword in the air, the tip pointing directly at Xiang Kui, and simultaneously gathered strength in both hands, unleashing another shout: "Cold Sword Returns to the Pool!" Instantly, countless icy swords gathered in mid-air, attacking Xiang Kui on the ground.

Xiang Kui was shocked to see this and could only swing his hammer to block again, but the cold swords rained down like rain and carried sword energy. His body's protective energy was broken, and he was injured in several places in a short time.

Yin Xiaosheng immediately bent down, took out his sword, and with a twist, created four more cold swords. In an instant, four giant swords, each ten feet long and over a foot wide, plunged into the air towards Xiang Kui.

Before Xiang Kui could finish unleashing the rain of swords, four giant swords flew down with a gust of wind, crossing and embedding themselves between his legs, rendering him unable to move. At the same time, mysterious ice rose around him, slowly freezing his lower body. Enraged, Xiang Kui gathered his strength and pulled out one of the giant swords that had been blocking the ground for three feet.

Seeing this, Yin Xiaosheng immediately sensed danger. He quickly unleashed his Frost Palm technique with his left palm, striking Xiang Kui's left chest and further freezing him with Xuanbing Sheng. Xiang Kui swiftly grabbed Yin Xiaosheng's left arm, and before Yin Xiaosheng could retract his palm, they were both instantly frozen. He hastily wielded his right sword, but before he could even thrust it out, the ice had already spread throughout his body.

Everyone outside the racecourse was astonished and shocked by this intense battle.

Upon seeing this, Shi Jiquan said shamelessly, "It's the Frost Palm again."

Murong Hanchan smiled and said, "Chief Shi, regardless of their martial arts skills, neither of them has won this round. So, what do you think of it as a draw?"

Chief Shi laughed and said, "Given the current situation, this is the only way. Please, Miss Xia Han, thaw the ice between the two of them."

Murong Hanchan declared confidently, "Of course!" She then stepped into the horse farm, activated her Crimson Soul, and the ice melted in an instant, rescuing the two.
