The car slowly came to a stop by the lake. Outside, it was pitch black, and almost nothing could be seen, except for the faint, scattered lights in the distance that provided a meager glimmer of light.
Li Peiyu unconsciously shrank back, her mind filled with doubt, completely baffled as to why Gu Yan had brought her to such a godforsaken place.
Gu Yan gripped the steering wheel tightly, his fingernails digging nervously into the steering wheel cover.
The car was filled with the scent of Li Peiyu's shampoo, and her delicate arms and undulating figure teased the boy's senses.
After mentally preparing himself for a long time, Gu Yan unbuckled his seatbelt, stiffly crossed the handbrake, and leaned down to pin Li Peiyu beneath him.
At such close range, Gu Yan felt as if his very soul had left his body.
Li Peiyu's pupils dilated in shock. She pushed Gu Yan back forcefully with both hands, her whole body resisting his approach.
"Gu Yan, get down." Li Peiyu's voice was filled with anger and her expression was very serious. Every word seemed to carry an undeniable force, trying to make Gu Yan immediately stop this behavior that made her feel uneasy and uncomfortable.
Gu Yan's thin lips pressed against Li Peiyu's earlobe, his voice extremely low, "I want you."
Li Peiyu frowned, resisting Gu Yan's relentless advances, her voice trembling as she begged for mercy, "Gu Yan, no, no."
"I want you to break up with that person." Gu Yan looked at her with hazy eyes, his voice low, his right hand holding her waist.
“Gu Yan,” Li Peiyu said, filled with regret. She shouldn’t have come to this lakeside with him; she had forgotten that he was a man.
"Your voice when you call my name sounds so nice, call it again." Gu Yan could no longer control his male ambition and instincts.
“Going against a woman’s will is a crime punishable by imprisonment.” Li Peiyu turned her head away, avoiding Gu Yan.
"Hmph, then go ahead and sue me." Gu Yan sneered, lifted Li Peiyu's chin, and caressed her lips, his body trembling slightly. It was the first time for him.
In this extremely urgent moment, Li Peiyu had no time to think. She suddenly raised her forehead and slammed it hard against Gu Yan with all her might, hitting him on the nose.
The sudden impact caused Gu Yan to lean backward, lose his balance, and slam the back of his head hard against a hard part of the vehicle.
Instantly, an unbearable pain struck, quickly extinguishing the burning passion within Gu Yan. Immediately afterward, bright red blood began to gush uncontrollably from Gu Yan's nose.
Li Peiyu hurriedly opened the car door, crawled out from under Gu Yan, found some tissues, and wiped Gu Yan while coaxing him, "What kind of hero would force a girl like that?"
Gu Yan stubbornly turned his face away, not wanting her to touch him.
Li Peiyu turned Gu Yan's chin towards her and continued wiping. "I'm warning you, if you waste any more time here, Lin Wanwan's second male lead will be coming out soon, and then you'll be crying."
Gu Yan's eyes were red, and his pale face was filled with resentment. He didn't care about Lin Wanwan at all.
Li Peiyu got into the driver's seat. "I'll drive. I have an early class tomorrow morning."
Throughout the journey, Gu Yan kept his eyes closed and remained silent, his fingertips gently touching the hair tie on his left wrist, his heart aching unbearably. The harassing messages from Li Peiyu were still on his phone, yet he had been inexplicably abandoned.
The memories of the past two years were etched in his heart, but for Li Peiyu, they could be easily erased. Li Peiyu had just physically resisted him; it seemed he had truly lost her.
By the time the car slowly drove back to the vicinity of the school, it was already three in the morning. It was impossible to enter the school dormitory at this hour, so Li Peiyu had no choice but to find a hotel to book a room.
Upon arriving at the hotel reception, Li Peiyu said, "Please give me two standard rooms."
The receptionist gave a standard smile and replied somewhat apologetically, "I'm sorry, ma'am, there's only one room left."
Upon hearing this, the melancholy on Gu Yan's face vanished instantly, and he couldn't help but laugh.
Li Peiyu glared at Gu Yan, who replied innocently, "Why are you glaring at me? It's not like I made it so that there's only one room left."
Li Peiyu gritted her teeth and said irritably, "One room it is."
The receptionist smiled and said, "Please show your ID card."
Who carries their ID card around all the time? Li Peiyu said, "Let's just make do in the car for now."
With a "smack," Gu Yan swiftly pulled two ID cards from his pocket and slammed them heavily on the counter. One was his own, and the other belonged to Li Peiyu.
Li Peiyu's eyes widened in surprise, and she asked, "How do you have my ID card?"
A smug smile appeared on Gu Yan's face as he replied, "You gave it to me when you were pursuing me." He then raised an eyebrow, seemingly reminiscing about the scene.

Li Peiyu couldn't help but wonder what had gotten into her before that she had given her ID card to someone else.
A scene from the book came to mind: she did indeed give her ID card to Gu Yan, saying that she was his in life and in death.
Li Peiyu joked, "I didn't expect you to have the good habit of carrying your ID card with you at all times."
"It's not something I carry with me; I brought it specifically." Gu Yan said seriously.
Booking a hotel room with her was premeditated.
An awkward expression appeared on Li Peiyu's face. She coughed slightly, then said, "Go to sleep, I'm so sleepy." After saying that, she took the lead and walked towards her room.
Gu Yan followed behind, a barely perceptible smile on his face.
