Gu Yan scratched his head and said embarrassedly, "Cooking is such a hassle."
"You can go out now, I'll fix it." Wang Boyang said, rolling up his sleeves and carefully scooping out the excess rice spoonful by spoonful, then adding some water.
After preparing breakfast, Wang Boyang brought the food to the table and invited Gu Yan to eat.
The two ate in silence, their words barely audible, the only sounds in the room being the chewing and swallowing.
Although Wang Boyang didn't know why Gu Yan had suddenly come all this way, he didn't ask.
In his heart, he was happy that Gu Yan came, no matter what the reason was.
"I'll stay here for a few days," Gu Yan suddenly broke the silence.
"Sure, but I'm pretty busy every day, so I can't take care of you," Wang Boyang said casually, chewing his food.
"Oh, I forgot you're President Wang now, so busy with important matters. I won't bother you any longer." Gu Yan's tone carried a hint of teasing and self-deprecation.
When Wang Boyang heard that Gu Yan was about to leave, he panicked and quickly said, "No!"
"Don't what?" Gu Yan looked up at him, puzzled.
"Don't go, stay here. If you have nothing to do, come work with me." Wang Boyang's eyes were full of expectation.
"I don't know how to do your job," Gu Yan said, pursing his lips.
"You can drive me," Wang Boyang said eagerly.
Gu Yan thought about it and decided that finding something to do to distract himself might be a good option. "Alright, remember to pay me my salary."
“Okay, five thousand a day,” Wang Boyang replied without hesitation.
"Mr. Wang has really made it big! He's so generous with his money."
Wang Boyang was afraid that if he gave Gu Yan too little, Gu Yan would object, since Gu Yan had plenty of money.
