Upon hearing this, Li Peiyu's eyes lit up with excitement, and her face beamed with undisguised joy. She couldn't wait to pick up her phone and call Lu Yuzhi.
Where have you gone?
Lu Yuzhi sat in the car, glanced casually outside, and replied, "Wanjia Supermarket."
"Wait for me there, and I'll go back with you."
When Lu Yu heard that Li Peiyu wanted to leave with him, all the resentment he felt when they parted just now vanished in an instant.
However, no matter how reluctant he was to part with her at that moment, he couldn't ignore the feelings of her parents.
His age is a big problem in this relationship, at least in his opinion, so he wants to make a good impression on her parents and doesn't want to lose face in front of them.
Lu Yuzhi asked cautiously, "Are your parents happy about this?"
“Yes,” Li Peiyu replied briefly and affirmatively.
"Then, I'll wait for you." Lu Yuzhi's voice was full of joy and anticipation, as if the whole world had become brighter because of her decision.
After hanging up the phone, Li Peiyu quickly packed up a few important things and hurriedly said goodbye to her family.
Her brother personally escorted her downstairs.
As they parted, Li Peiyu generously pulled a bank card from her bag, stuffed it into her brother's hand, and said cheerfully, "Go buy a big villa."
"Didn't you lose money?" the older brother asked, his eyes wide with surprise.
"I was just kidding, Auntie. I made a lot of money." Li Peiyu winked mischievously, a confident smile on her face.
The older brother grabbed Li Peiyu and said seriously, "What kind of business did you start? How could you make so much money in just six months? Did he give you the money?"
“No,” Li Peiyu quickly denied.
“You’ve always been vain. Are you only with him for his money?” The older brother’s tone was filled with worry and accusation.
"We are truly sincere."
"Are you really willing?" the brother asked again to confirm.
"You said it yourself, being with someone like him is a bargain for me. How could I not want to?"
"Then tell me, what kind of business did you start?" the older brother pressed on.
"Have you heard of Jiang Shuchen?" Li Peiyu raised an eyebrow.
"Of course. His songs are everywhere on the streets," the older brother answered without hesitation.
“I voted,” Li Peiyu said casually.
"What do you mean?" the older brother asked, looking puzzled.
"I sold my big villa, started an entertainment company with a friend, signed Jiang Shuchen, he became famous, and I made it big," Li Peiyu said in one breath, her face full of pride.
"You're saying that you made Jiang Shuchen, such a big star, famous?" the brother asked incredulously.
“Yeah, didn’t you notice the variety show ‘I’m Here’? I asked Xiao Fan to sing Jiang Shuchen’s song ‘Hard to Love’,” Li Peiyu explained patiently.
After thinking carefully, the older brother finally remembered that there was indeed such a scene. He nodded blankly as if he had just realized something.
"Can you get his autograph? Your sister-in-law really likes him." The brother's face was full of anticipation.
"Of course, I'll have Jiang Shuchen call my sister-in-law. Make sure she answers," Li Peiyu replied with a smile.
"Make a phone call? Okay, okay," the brother replied, never expecting such a good thing to happen.
"Go back, don't interrogate me anymore, Lu Yuzhi must be getting impatient." Li Peiyu urged her brother, then turned and left in a hurry.
After his older brother, Li Peixiao, slowly went upstairs and entered the house, he bent down to change into his slippers. His mother came over and asked him in a puzzled tone, "Why did it take you so long?"
"I chatted with Yu Yu for a while," Li Peixiao replied as he walked towards the sofa.
"What did you talk about?" Mom asked curiously.
“Let’s talk about her entrepreneurial venture.” Li Peixiao, the older brother, sat down on the sofa, took out his phone from his pocket, quickly opened Baidu, entered Jiang Shuchen’s name into the search term, and began to browse carefully. Sure enough, the company Jiang Shuchen was signed with was “Yuxing Entertainment”.
Li Peixiao then searched for information about "Yuxing Entertainment" and found that the owner's name was Li Peiyu.
"What are you doing holding your phone so intently?" Sister-in-law Xiao Qin, heavily pregnant, sat down next to Li Peixiao while slowly munching on an apple.
Li Peixiao handed his phone to his wife, Xiao Qin. Xiao Qin took a closer look and immediately saw Li Peiyu's name. "Peiyu has started an entertainment company."
"Hmm." The older brother nodded, but his expression didn't show pride or satisfaction; instead, he seemed to feel that something was off.
Mom and Dad, curious about Xiao Qin's voice, gathered around. Mom asked, "What were you saying just now?"
"Yu Yu opened an entertainment company, and her most popular artist is Jiang Shuchen."
“Jiang Shuchen, author of ‘Difficult to Love’,” Xiao Qin asked uncertainly.
"Yes," Li Peixiao answered affirmatively.
Although my parents are out of touch with the times, they are naturally aware that "Difficult to Love" is a popular song for square dancing.
The mother's face was filled with disbelief, and her voice rose several decibels: "Are you serious?"
“Yu Yu told me herself,” Li Peixiao answered again with certainty, his tone very firm.
The mother couldn't help but clasp her hands together and murmur to herself, "This is wonderful, wonderful."
The father beamed from ear to ear, nodding repeatedly and saying, "I never expected our daughter to be so capable. She really brings honor to our family!"
Sister-in-law Xiao Qin put down the apple, grabbed Li Peixiao's arm and said, "We have to celebrate this properly, Peiyu is amazing!"
Mom continued, "Peiyu has always had a lot of drive. It was definitely the right decision to support her in starting her own business. Our family will benefit from it in the future, and who knows, we might even meet some big stars!"
