The next day, the family was sitting around the dining table, enjoying breakfast. Lu Yuzhi straightened up and said, "Dad, Mom, do you have time today? I'd like to take you somewhere."
"Yes, we have time," Mom and Dad quickly replied.
Full of doubt, Li Peiyu asked curiously, "Where are we going?"
Lu Yu smiled mysteriously and replied, "You'll know when we get there."
Li Peiyu hurriedly said, "I want to go too."
Lu Yuzhi looked at her gently and said, "Of course I'll take you with me, everyone will go."
The family then went downstairs.
Three Maybachs were already waiting quietly downstairs. Dad and Mom got into one car, Li Peiyu and Lu Yuzhi got into another car hand in hand, and the older brother and sister-in-law got into the third car.
Along the way, Li Peiyu couldn't contain her curiosity and asked Lu Yuzhi several times where they were going, but Lu Yuzhi just smiled and said, "You'll find out soon." Li Peiyu became more and more itchy, but she could only patiently wait for the mystery to be revealed.
The car drove slowly and eventually stopped at a construction site.
Everyone got off the bus and curiously looked around at their surroundings.
The older brother spoke first: "Isn't this a resort that's currently under construction?"
Dad recalled, "I used to run a small restaurant here, but it was shut down after only a few days." Then, Dad looked at Lu Yuzhi and asked suspiciously, "Yuzhi, you didn't bring us here to run a restaurant for me, did you?"
Lu Yuzhi simply smiled without saying a word, then said, "Let's go inside and take a look."
As soon as they finished speaking, a construction worker quickly came over, handed them a safety helmet, and respectfully led them inside for a tour.
Wearing hard hats, the group slowly entered the construction site, led by construction workers. Sunlight shone on the unfinished building, casting a golden glow.
As Li Peiyu walked, she pondered Lu Yuzhi's intentions, her curiosity growing stronger. Her brother and sister-in-law were also talking quietly.
Stepping inside, although various building materials are still scattered around, the general outline has already emerged.
As everyone stood in the center of the construction site, an architect dressed in a sharp suit and wearing a hard hat strode over from the side.
The architect's eyes revealed professionalism and confidence, and he smiled and nodded slightly to everyone.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the construction site of the Yujing Resort." The architect's voice was steady and powerful. "The design concept of this resort is to perfectly blend the beauty of nature with modern comfort."
As he spoke, he pointed to the buildings under construction around him, saying, “Look, the exteriors of these buildings use local stone and wood, which complement the surrounding landscape. They have both a rustic charm and a modern sense of style.”
The architect led everyone forward with steady steps, explaining the functions of each area as they walked. "This is the luxury resort villa area. Each villa has its own private courtyard and swimming pool, providing guests with ultimate privacy. And over there is the leisure and entertainment area, with facilities such as a hot spring bath, gym, and tennis court to meet guests' various leisure needs."
He stopped and turned to face everyone. "We've also made careful plans for the dining options. There are multiple themed restaurants offering a variety of different cuisines." The architect's eyes gleamed, as if he could already see the resort's future bustling prosperity. "We believe that once this resort is completed, it will become the top choice for people's leisure and vacation."
Everyone listened quietly to the architect's presentation, as if the air around them had frozen. A focused expression graced each face, yet beneath this focus lay a deep sense of shock and bewilderment. Their eyes were slightly glazed, their thoughts seemingly still immersed in the grand blueprint the architect had described, leaving them feeling utterly bewildered.
Looking at everyone's reactions, Lu Yuzhi smiled warmly and slowly said, "Mom and Dad, this resort is a gift I gave to you."
"What?" Everyone exclaimed in surprise, their eyes all turning to Lu Yuzhi, as if to confirm whether they had misheard.
Although everyone had some guesses and was somewhat prepared beforehand, they were still deeply shocked when they heard Lu Yuzhi say those words himself.
An entire resort! What a huge gift that is! It's simply outrageous.
The crowd was deeply moved, their hearts filled with a stormy sea of emotions that lingered for a long time.
Seeing the shocked expressions on everyone's faces, Lu Yuzhi casually said, "A small gift."
Li Peixiao, the older brother, stared wide-eyed as his gaze slowly swept over the vast area that covered several thousand square meters. His face was full of disbelief, and he couldn't help but exclaim, "Brother-in-law, you call this a small gift? This is too extravagant!"
Lu Yuzhi smiled slightly and replied, "Land prices in the town are still quite cheap."
Upon hearing this, the older brother was both amused and exasperated, shaking his head repeatedly and saying, "Brother-in-law, you don't need to call me brother anymore. I'll call you brother from now on." Everyone was taken aback at first, then couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Dad, having recovered from his shock, said, "From now on, you have to be the first to start eating at home." Dad's humor once again drew laughter from everyone.
After laughing, Dad continued, "I have to be a security guard here."
Lu Yuzhi quickly said, "Dad, you're the boss."
Dad waved his hand and said, "Sigh, I don't have that ability, but I appreciate the thought."
