Chapter 91 The Cornerstone of Success

"I originally intended to lend you a helping hand, and you would repay my kindness someday when you became successful. I didn't expect you to repay me so quickly." Li Peiyu's lips curled up, his words revealing a hint of smugness.

"Oh, so you're plotting something? I thought you were stupid. Turns out you're quite the shrewd one." Wang Boyang feigned anger and rolled his eyes at Li Peiyu.

“There’s no such thing as a bad student at Yunnan University. You guys are the resources and the cornerstone of success.” Li Peiyu picked up his wine glass and gently swirled the liquid inside.

"So we're all just stepping stones on Mr. Li's road to success. Alright, Mr. Li, let's drink to this and wish each other success in our business." Wang Boyang also picked up his glass and gently clinked it against Li Peiyu's.

Li Peiyu's eyes were filled with anticipation for the future.

A short while later, Jiang Shuchen came out from backstage. Li Peiyu waved enthusiastically, her face beaming with a bright smile.

Jiang Shuchen walked over quickly and sat down, asking in confusion, "What do you want to see me about?"

“I want to sign you,” Li Peiyu said directly.

"Huh?" Jiang Shuchen looked surprised, his eyes wide, as if he couldn't believe his ears.

“I’m planning to start an entertainment company, and I want to sign you.” Li Peiyu looked at Jiang Shuchen earnestly, her eyes filled with anticipation.

Jiang Shuchen is a music student, and he does sing well, but there are plenty of people in the school who sing well. He originally planned to become a music teacher after graduation. Although he also harbored a dream of becoming famous, he knew very well that the road to fame was full of hardships and the chances were slim.

“I’ll give you two million, plus a 10% cut. If my company goes public in the future, I’ll give you five percent of the shares,” Li Peiyu said solemnly.

"Two million?" Jiang Shuchen gasped in shock upon hearing this astronomical figure. "You really think I can do it?"

“How about I lower the price if I think you’re not good enough?” Li Peiyu raised an eyebrow and said deliberately.

"Are you from a wealthy family? Do you have two million?" Jiang Shuchen asked incredulously.

"I am not very talented, but I have four million." Li Peiyu smiled confidently.

"If I don't become famous, won't you be at a huge loss? There are plenty of people in our school who sing better than me." Jiang Shuchen frowned, looking worried.

"Out of so many people in your school, I only have my eye on you. If you don't become famous, I'm willing to accept the consequences." Li Peiyu's tone was firm, and there was no hesitation in her eyes.

"Okay. You're not scamming me, are you?" Jiang Shuchen still couldn't quite believe this sudden stroke of good luck.

"I'd give you two million and you'd call me a swindler?" Li Peiyu was both amused and exasperated.

"Mmm," Jiang Shuchen felt like she was in a dream, her head was spinning, and she couldn't quite accept this huge surprise.

“Once I’ve registered the company, we’ll sign the contract,” Li Peiyu said, looking firmly at Jiang Shuchen.

"Okay," Jiang Shuchen nodded in response.

"Quit this lousy job," Li Peiyu said with a serious expression.

"Huh?" Jiang Shuchen looked surprised and uttered a short question.

"What? Go back and focus on writing songs, concentrate on your creative work." Li Peiyu raised her voice, her tone carrying an undeniable determination.

"How did you know I write songs?" Jiang Shuchen asked curiously.

"Don't all singers write songs?" Li Peiyu casually brushed it off.

"Yes, I'll try them all."

"The sooner you write a good song, the sooner we'll get rich. You know that?" Li Peiyu patted Jiang Shuchen on the shoulder, her eyes full of expectation.

"Understood." Jiang Shuchen nodded solemnly.

Then, the three raised their glasses and gently clinked them together. The crisp sound echoed in the air, as if foreshadowing their hopeful future.

In the days that followed, Li Peiyu and Wang Boyang were busy registering the company. They traveled around the city to select locations, filled out various forms in different departments, and prepared various documents. Although it was hard work, they were full of passion and anticipation.

Fortunately, thanks to Wang Boyang's father's connections, everything proceeded very smoothly.

Soon, Guo Jiahe also learned that Li Peiyu was running a company. She timidly approached Li Peiyu and asked, "Peiyu, can you include me in your entertainment company?"

"You have money to invest?" Li Peiyu looked at her with suspicion.

"No, you should sign me too," Guo Jiahe said eagerly.

"Can you become famous?" Li Peiyu looked her up and down.

"Whether something becomes popular or not is determined by capital," Guo Jiahe tried to persuade Li Peiyu.

“I’m not a bank. I wouldn’t dare invest in you.” Li Peiyu shook his head.

"You, you only need to invest a little bit initially, and I guarantee you'll make money back."

Li Peiyu scrutinized Guo Jiahe, lacking confidence.

"Peiyu, I still owe you so much money. How can I pay you back if I don't become famous?" Guo Jiahe continued to plead.

Li Peiyu said, "Your figure is good, but your face..."

"You can get plastic surgery on your face, right? I have a good foundation, so with a little work, I'll definitely become very beautiful," Guo Jiahe said confidently.

"You want to get plastic surgery?" Li Peiyu asked in surprise.

“Well, you only need to invest the money for the plastic surgery, and I’ll pay you back every penny I make. I’ll pay you back two 80 millions, okay?” Guo Jiahe held Li Peiyu’s arm tightly.

“I need to discuss this with Wang Boyang; he also has a stake in the company.” Li Peiyu hesitated.

After thinking for a moment, Wang Boyang agreed. He said, "A minor cosmetic procedure would probably cost around ten thousand yuan. Let's take a gamble."

Later, after Guo Jiahe underwent plastic surgery, Li Peiyu enrolled her in a dance class to comprehensively enhance her talent and charm.

After the start of the school year, and following numerous tedious preparations and efforts, the company's affairs were finally settled. The company was named "Yuxing Entertainment Company".

Guo Jiahe and Jiang Shuchen both have their own offices now. Guo Jiahe's room is decorated in a warm and stylish way, and she mainly conducts her live streaming work here.

Jiang Shuchen's office is filled with an artistic atmosphere, with walls covered with sticky notes of various musical inspirations and his beloved musical instruments placed in the corner. He immerses himself in this space every day, writing songs with his heart, and infusing his emotions and talent into every note.

That night, the night was already deep, and the city lights twinkled in the darkness, like a dazzling galaxy.

Wang Boyang finally finished his work at the company. Although exhausted, he still dragged his weary body to the supermarket on his way home, carefully selected some ingredients, and prepared to cook a warm dinner.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to cook for Gu Yan.

When he pushed open the door, he saw Gu Yan sitting lazily on the sofa, his hands gripping the game controller tightly, his eyes fixed on the screen, completely absorbed in playing the game.

For more than a month, Gu Yan either played games or slept, and didn't even leave the house.
