Chapter 141 Chaos (shuhaige.net)

"Me?"

Lu Yuzhi recognized his grandfather's voice. Just as he was about to speak, the old man's voice came again, "Xiao Chen, open the door for Daddy, don't be angry with Daddy, okay? Daddy won't go to work today, I'll just sleep with you. Open the door."

Li Peiyu asked, puzzled, "Who's Xiao Chen?"

Lu Yuzhi's expression was solemn as he slowly said, "My father died young, and your father-in-law died young."

"Huh?" Li Peiyu's face was filled with horror, and she was completely stunned.

Lu Yuzhi gently released Li Peiyu from his arms, straightened his clothes, and strode towards the door. He opened the door and immediately saw Old Master Lu standing outside. He asked anxiously, "What did you call me just now?"

"Xiao Chen, my good son. Dad's back to be with you." Grandpa Lu said gently with a kind smile on his face.

Lu Yuzhi instantly realized that his grandfather was either possessed by a ghost or had gone mad.

Lu Yuzhi didn't dare to delay at all and immediately called the old man's private doctor.

Not long after, the doctor arrived. After another thorough examination, the doctor finally concluded that Mr. Lu had Alzheimer's disease.

Early symptoms of Alzheimer's disease include irritability and memory loss. However, Mr. Lu was already irritable and didn't need to remember anything, as his personal butler reminded him of everything, so no one noticed it in the early stages. By then, it had already become quite serious.

Aunt Li, Lu Antai, and Gu Yan, who were surrounding Old Master Lu, all wore worried expressions. Their eyes were fixed on the doctor, asking him what to do.

The doctor said, "Some medications can be taken, but the most important thing is non-drug treatment. Patients with Alzheimer's disease need to do physical exercises to improve muscle strength, balance, and coordination. They also need to use their brains actively to prevent cognitive decline. They can do cognitive training and memory rehabilitation training, and they should also participate in social activities regularly."

As everyone listened to the doctor's instructions, Grandpa Lu paid no attention to what they were saying. He simply said in a gentle tone, "Xiao Chen, Daddy will go and put you to sleep."

After saying that, he pulled Lu Yuzhi toward his room without further ado.

Li Peiyu's face was full of grievances. Lu Yuzhi was supposed to sleep with her.

“Um, I’m all grown up now, I can sleep by myself. You go ahead with your work.” Lu Yuzhi tried to shake off Grandpa Lu’s arm, but was held tightly.

"Still angry with your father?" Old Master Lu frowned slightly, his eyes showing concern. "Child, don't be angry with your father. I know I haven't spent enough time with you before, so I'll make it up to you today."

"I'm not angry, I'll sleep by myself." Lu Yuzhi's tone was anxious, and he stood still, refusing to move.

"Dad said he'd stay with you, and he will." Old Master Lu's attitude was firm. He grabbed Lu Yuzhi's arm tightly again, determined to lead him into the room.

Upon entering the room, Old Master Lu gently lifted the blanket for Lu Yuzhi, patted the pillow, and said, "Come on, child, lie down."

Lu Yuzhi lay down helplessly. Right now, all he could do was coax his grandfather to sleep before going to find Li Peiyu.

Grandpa Lu sat by the bed, gently humming the lullaby he often sang to Lu Yuzhi when he was a child, his voice soft and soothing, "Sleep, sleep, my dear baby..."

As he hummed a song, Grandpa Lu gently patted Lu Yuzhi's shoulder, as if he were really coaxing a child to sleep.

Lu Yuzhi closed his eyes, initially unwilling, but a warmth rose in his heart accompanied by a trace of grievance.

From childhood to adulthood, no one has ever coaxed him to sleep.

Lu Yuzhi dozed off for a while, then slowly woke up. Seeing that Old Master Lu was sleeping peacefully, he carefully moved off the bed and tiptoed towards the door.

Finally back in his room, he saw Li Peiyu nestled in bed, engrossed in playing on her phone.

"Is Grandpa asleep?" Li Peiyu asked softly.

Grandpa Lu is Lu Yuzhi's grandfather. Since she followed Lu Yuzhi, she should also call Grandpa Lu "Grandpa".

One can't help but sigh, the seniority has risen so much in just one day.

"Mmm," Lu Yuzhi responded, then lifted the covers and lay down.

Without exchanging many words, the two kissed passionately, removed their clothes, and pressed their bodies tightly together.

Just then, the doorknob clicked.

The door was suddenly pushed open without warning.

Lu Yuzhi quickly threw himself on Li Peiyu, covering her completely, and then pulled the blanket that had fallen to his waist up to cover her properly.

"Xiao Chen, why are you running around like that?"

Old Master Lu pushed open the door and entered.

"What are you doing, Xiao Chen?" Old Master Lu asked, his face full of confusion.

"Sleeping, can't you tell?" Lu Yuzhi's tone was slightly impatient.

"Is someone hiding in your bed?" Old Master Lu stared intently at him, his gaze sharp.

"You've hidden it! Please leave now and stop causing trouble, okay?" Lu Yuzhi's voice rose noticeably, filled with annoyance.

"Xiao Chen, you're only fourteen. How can you be like this?" Old Master Lu frowned, his face serious.

"I'm almost forty, damn it!" Lu Yuzhi's tone grew increasingly angry, and his voice rose.

"Fourteen, fourteen is a big boy now. He has needs, Dad, I understand, I understand." Grandpa Lu's words made Lu Yuzhi even angrier.

"If you understand, then please leave now," Lu Yuzhi said impatiently.

"You two get dressed and come out first. Dad has a few things to say to you." After saying that, Grandpa Lu turned and walked out of the room. "You two have five minutes."
