"Well then, goodbye forever, Mr. Lu."
Seeing Li Peiyu's happy expression, Lu Yuzhi said seriously, "You're not on your period, are you?"
Li Peiyu gave an awkward smile, "Indeed not. President Lu, you've certainly seen it all; you can even accurately tell whether someone has their period or not."
Li Peiyu did it on purpose; she wanted to leave a hook, to keep the man's appetite whetted—this was punishment for abandoning her.
Li Peiyu took out the card Lu Yuzhi had given her from her pocket and placed it on the table next to her. "Lu Yuzhi, if you throw me away, I don't want you anymore."
Lu Yuzhi felt a pang of anxiety, but did not try to stop him.
Li Peiyu walked to the door, put on her white sneakers, turned the toes around, opened the door, and walked briskly. But after only a few steps, Li Peiyu stopped and turned around.
Lu Yuzhi's eyes lit up as he watched Li Peiyu approach again.
Li Peiyu took out her phone. "Since we're never going to see each other again, let's have a farewell ceremony."
A ceremony? Is it to kiss him? A farewell kiss?
Li Peiyu swiped and tapped on her phone screen, "I've already deleted our chat history and blocked you. I hope you've done the same."
Lu Yuzhi's face was grim. Li Peiyu took out her phone from his suit and handed it to him. Lu Yuzhi's eyes were dark and unfathomable. He swiped through their chat history, looking at his graduation photos and quotes from the book "The Little House by the Sea," which he hadn't had a chance to tell her about yet.
He was reluctant to let go; it was his only remaining memory, yet he was being asked to delete it, to erase all traces of their relationship.
Li Peiyu stared intently at him, while Lu Yuzhi cleared his contacts and blocked him.
Lu Yuzhi's face darkened. "Wait a minute."
He then took out the expensive cuddly item and handed it to her, saying, "This is for you."
"A parting gift? No need, give it to your next client." After saying that, Li Peiyu left without looking back, looking very carefree, completely unlike her persistent pestering at the swimming pool the day before.
Lu Yu stood there, stunned. He was the one who insisted on separating, but now he felt like he was the one who had been abandoned.
How much sincerity did Li Peiyu truly have for him?
Perhaps she was only after his looks and money, and he was just being presumptuous, thinking he was in a relationship with her.
That's ridiculous.
