Lu Yuzhi turned off the light without making a sound, and the room was plunged into darkness once again.
He gently pressed down on Li Peiyu from behind, his hands roaming over her body, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he whispered, "Why didn't you leave? Are you reluctant to part with me?"
"I twisted my ankle," Li Peiyu said with a hint of helplessness.
"Is it serious?" Lu Yuzhi asked with concern.
"I'll be fine after a few days of rest," Li Peiyu muttered softly.
"That's wonderful." Lu Yuzhi couldn't wait to kiss her lips from behind. The passionate kiss was like a burning flame. The momentary lingering seemed not to be enough, so he gently turned her over so that she was facing him.
"I can't take it anymore, can we stop here?" Li Peiyu said coquettishly, her voice tinged with pleading.
"Stop when you've hit the mark? Which point?" Lu Yuzhi asked with a mischievous grin, pinching her cheek.
"You rascal," Li Peiyu scolded, her face flushed.
"I told you, if you don't want hooligans to touch you, then don't hang around in front of them. If you dare to hang around in front of them, don't blame them for bullying you until you cry." Lu Yuzhi's words were somewhat domineering, but his kiss was full of affection.
...
Downstairs, Gu Yan was fast asleep when the phone kept ringing. Annoyed, Gu Yan hung up, but it rang again. Impatiently, he answered the phone to an unfamiliar number.
"Hey," Gu Yan said in a slightly fierce tone.
"Um, it's me, Wang Boyang."
"What is it?" Gu Yan got even angrier when he thought of Wang Boyang's face.
"I'm just reminding you that if you see something you don't want to see, or hear something you don't want to hear, call me when you're heartbroken, and I'll come to your rescue."
"Are you fucking crazy?" Gu Yan hung up the phone, his sleepiness completely ruined, and he wanted nothing more than to beat Wang Boyang to death.
Gu Yan tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep, his anger still burning within him. He angrily threw on his clothes, quickly started the car, and sped towards the small apartment.
Upon arriving at the small apartment, Gu Yan pounded on the door aggressively, the sound of which was particularly loud in the quiet night.
It was Lin Wanwan who came out. She was still sleepy and asked impatiently, "Who is it?"
"I am Gu Yan."
Lin Wanwan opened the door, and Gu Yan angrily asked, "Which room does that bastard Wang Boyang sleep in?"
Lin Wanwan pointed, then quickly reached out and grabbed Gu Yan, advising, "What's wrong again? Don't be impulsive, okay?"
"No way, I'm not done with him yet." Gu Yan ignored all advice and rushed into Wang Boyang's room, turning on the light.
Wang Boyang, shirtless, was sleeping soundly when he was suddenly awakened by the bright light. He instinctively reached out to shield his eyes from the glare.
Without a word, Gu Yan rushed forward and retaliated with a punch. Wang Boyang reacted quickly and was strong enough to grab Gu Yan and pin him down. The two immediately started fighting, and the room became chaotic.
Guo Jiahe heard the commotion and rushed over.
Lin Wanwan and Guo Jiahe were completely bewildered by the two people wrestling in front of them. It took them a lot of effort to finally restrain these two angry "bulls".
Lin Wanwan said angrily, "Tell me how you started fighting again."
Gu Yan said, panting heavily, "He kept calling me in the middle of the night, deliberately keeping me from sleeping."
“I called him out of kindness to remind him,” Wang Boyang retorted.
"What are you reminding me of? You're spouting a bunch of nonsense, I don't understand a word you say," Gu Yan roared angrily.
Lin Wanwan said helplessly, "Why don't you just ignore him? Is it really necessary to rush over and fight in the middle of the night? Are you a primary school student?"
"I can't swallow this!" Gu Yan shouted, his neck stiff.
"Alright, alright, that's enough. Go to sleep, everyone." Lin Wanwan frowned and advised, "Gu Yan, you can sleep on the sofa."
"Why should I sleep on the sofa? I want to sleep in the bed!" Gu Yan said, glaring at him with a defiant look.
"Fine, you sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the sofa." Wang Boyang reluctantly got up from the bed. He looked at Gu Yan's stubborn appearance, sighed in his heart, and thought that he was quite pitiful, so he tried his best to go along with him.
Gu Yan was puzzled. He wondered to himself why Wang Boyang wasn't fighting him anymore. He wouldn't have given in so easily in the past.
Gu Yan lay down and said in a commanding tone, "Turn off the lights."
Wang Boyang obediently turned off the light and lay down on the sofa to sleep.
Gu Yan tried to fall asleep, Wang Boyang's words echoing in his mind: "Call me when your heart is broken, and I'll come to save you."
Gu Yan was completely baffled. Why was he heartbroken? Besides, if he were heartbroken, why would he need Wang Boyang to save him? It was like a weasel offering New Year's greetings to a chicken—no good intentions. Like a dog catching a mouse—meddling in other people's business. Like someone who's full and idly gossiping, looking for trouble.
He's sick! And seriously sick.
Gu Yan was cursing and cursing when he unknowingly fell asleep.
The next day, the morning sunlight shone through the window onto Gu Yan's face. He woke up groggily and walked to the living room, still sleepy.
A steaming breakfast was laid out on the table, and Lin Wanwan warmly invited Gu Yan to come and have breakfast.
After Gu Yan sat down, he picked up a spoon, took a sip of soup, then picked up a bite of stir-fried greens and chewed it. He then praised, "Wanwan, you made it so delicious. You're really amazing that you can make such a small vegetable dish so well."
Upon hearing this, Lin Wanwan smiled slightly and said, "It was Wang Boyang who did it."
Upon hearing this, Gu Yan's expression changed instantly. He immediately spat out the food in his mouth and said with a look of disgust, "It tastes awful."
"If it tastes bad, don't eat it. Who asked you to eat it?" Wang Boyang came out of the kitchen with a plate of fragrant scrambled eggs in his hand. Hearing Gu Yan's words, he replied irritably.
"Have you no shame? You're always hanging around other people's houses."
“Who’s staying at someone else’s house? I’m being kept by Li Peiyu.” As he spoke, Wang Boyang took out his phone to show Gu Yan the transfer record Li Peiyu had given him: 20,000 yuan.
Gu Yan frowned slightly. "Shameless."
"Now you know who's been loitering at someone else's house, right?" Wang Boyang continued to provoke.
"Why would I need to deny it? Li Peiyu is at my house right now." Gu Yan said smugly.
Wang Boyang sighed, feeling sorry for Gu Yan. He'd done all the work for someone else, and was still gloating over it. How could anyone in the world be so stupid?
But the thought of Gu Yan's pitiful state after learning the truth made Wang Boyang lose his temper. He calmed himself down and said, "Let's eat. After we eat, we'll play ball."
"You don't want me to go back to Li Peiyu, do you?" Gu Yan stared at Wang Boyang with a suspicious look.
"You're too scared to play against me, aren't you? I'm not happy about losing to you in the last basketball game, so let's have a one-on-one match today." Wang Boyang raised an eyebrow, his eyes full of provocation.
"One-on-one it is, I'll beat you to a pulp." Gu Yan was not to be outdone, he rolled up his sleeves, looking determined to win.
