You and I Intertwine Again

This is my first attempt at writing a novel; the ending isn't great, so read with caution.

A physically unhinged beauty vs. a loyal young general. From the female protagonist's perspective, Yuan Ming could never understand how a tyrant could be reborn. She should have remained in Avīci Hell, facing her retribution.

She didn't understand—death, the most impartial thing in the world, yet when it came to her, it became unfair. She wasn't worthy of it. She allowed herself to dance with bloodshed, just like in her previous life, but as a human, the instinct for survival was ingrained in her nature, so she struggled between self-destruction and self-salvation.

What Yuan Ming didn't know was that although she appeared insane, her actions were always guided by her personal code of ethics. Perhaps, only at the end could she reconcile with herself, but that is merely a 'perhaps'...

Note: In her previous life, the female protagonist was a noble princess, but due to her older sister's schemes, she fell into the mud, enduring inhumane torture, left physically crippled and disfigured. She later returned to the empress's throne like a vengeful ghost crawled from hell, her heart riddled with wounds, becoming bloodthirsty and tyrannical.

From the male protagonist's perspective: In my previous life, I walked on thin ice as a minor general, fighting against foreign enemies and corrupt court officials. After much struggle, I discovered that my childhood idol had degenerated into a tyrant. For the sake of the people, I then had to campaign against her.

However, halfway through, my own father appeared, viewing me as a family disgrace, calling me a rebellious traitor, and seeking to take my life. After enduring countless hardships, I was disfigured, lost my comrades, and finally broke into the imperial city. I had intended to persuade my idol to turn back, only to find that she had committed suicide!

2. The female protagonist has a slight 'Mary Sue' quality; several male characters secretly harbor affection for her, but she is career-focused and doesn't care.

3. The male and female protagonists do not truly end up together in the end, but all main characters achieve their desires, making it a good ending. Please be aware of this if you mind. (It is implied that a romantic relationship is not the main focus.)
