"I am married."
Jiang Shengjun informed his family in the family group chat, and also attached a photo of his marriage certificate with Su Wanwan.
When her older sister, Jiang Yingning, clicked on the link, she exclaimed, "Isn't this that female anchor?"
The family group chat exploded with activity.
"Female anchor?"
"You actually married a female anchor? Do you even know what kind of temperament female anchors have?"
...
Jiang Shengjun turned off his phone and stopped checking group messages. When reporting to his family, he only wanted to inform them and did not need to ask for their opinions.
The matter was already settled. He sat on the sofa, listening to the sounds coming from Su Wanwan's room, and looking at the damp environment, he couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache.
At midnight, Su Wanwan ended her live stream. She was a little reserved when she came out of her room, and suddenly felt extremely awkward when she saw Jiang Shengjun in her living room.
She was in the same state during the live broadcast, constantly thinking about how she married Jiang Shengjun, feeling like she was dreaming, in a daze.
When Su Wanwan left the room, Jiang Shengjun was already asleep. The night was chilly, so she carefully took out her small blanket from her room and walked very quietly.
The pink blanket was being carried by fair hands, like cherry blossoms fluttering in the breeze amidst the swaying willow catkins of spring.
Walking up to Jiang Shengjun, she gently covered him with the small blanket. Su Wanwan couldn't help but sigh, "Sigh, how am I going to tell Maomao about this?"
She covered him with a blanket, then sat down, exhausted, opposite Jiang Shengjun. She looked up at the ceiling, thought for a moment, and then opened Ouyang Maomao's WeChat to explain something to her best friend.
After much deliberation, she typed a string of words and then deleted them, repeating this process several times.
More than ten minutes passed like this. Su Wanwan was so annoyed that she scratched her head, threw her phone away, and let out a long sigh.
After some hesitation, he shook his head and walked towards the bathroom, his cute bunny slippers making a slapping sound as he walked.
Jiang Shengjun opened his eyes only after hearing the sound of water flowing from the bathroom showerhead.
Actually, he was a light sleeper and was already woken up when Su Wanwan covered him with a small blanket.
At that time, I just thought she was so gentle, and I couldn't bear to break that gentleness.
Smelling the faint fragrance on the blanket, Jiang Shengjun felt as if he were enveloped in a gentle embrace.
Suddenly, lightning flashed and thunder roared outside the window, and a torrential downpour began.
A strong wind blew rain into the house, and Jiang Shengjun hurriedly got up to close the windows, as the drizzling rain swept in.
Suddenly everything went dark, with only the streetlights outside the window still on.
"The power is out?"
Su Wanwan asked a question from inside the bathroom, her tone a mix of surprise and calm.
Jiang Shengjun was a little worried that Su Wanwan might be scared, so he kept his eyes fixed on the direction of the bathroom, but did not dare to make any rash moves.
At that time, Su Wanwan still had hair mask on her hair and a bunch of foam on her body. Following her habit, she took a tissue to wipe the foam off her hands and then groped around the bathroom.
Where's my phone?
No matter how hard she looked, she couldn't find her phone.
She wasn't actually afraid of the dark, but she was extremely afraid of thunder.
The main concern is that she's more afraid of lightning shining on the bathroom mirror before a thunderstorm, as seeing her reflection in the mirror would frighten her.
While she was searching, her phone rang in the living room, and she realized that she hadn't taken it with her when she took a shower.
"It's numb."
A sarcastic remark reached Jiang Shengjun's ears, and he knew that his opportunity had arrived.
He quickly picked up Su Wanwan's phone and walked to her bathroom door, asking attentively, "Ms. Su, Miss Ouyang called you. Would you like me to call her back?"
Jiang Shengjun had originally chosen this opportunity to speak to her from outside the dark and closed bathroom door, hoping to let her know that he was always there and that Su Wanwan wouldn't be afraid.
But because of what he said, Su Wanwan was so frightened that she accidentally tripped and fell in the bathroom.
"ah!"
A scream startled Jiang Shengjun so much that he almost opened the door and rushed in. He immediately ran back to the sofa and grabbed the small blanket.
He imagined rushing in if something happened to Su Wanwan, covering her body with a small blanket, carrying her out, and saying to her, "It's okay, I'm here."
Su Wanwan thought to herself.
My God, this man is so proactive.
He tossed his phone aside, stood at the bathroom door with a blanket in his hand, and asked in a deep, anxious voice, "Ms. Su, are you... alright?"
Su Wanwan's bottom hurt terribly from the fall. She leaned against the wall to get up and said through gritted teeth, "Wait a minute, don't go back to Maomao yet. I'll go back to her after I've finished washing up."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Shengjun glanced at the small blanket in his hand and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"
Su Wanwan frowned slightly, and with a pained expression, turned on the shower. The sound of the rushing water was mixed with Su Wanwan's voice, "I'm fine, just don't touch my phone."
The tone... it sounded like she cared more about the phone call than her own safety.
As Jiang Shengjun listened to Su Wanwan's words, the figure standing at the bathroom door froze in place.
His deep, magnetic voice said in the darkness, "Don't be afraid, I will always be with you."
Su Wanwan laughed, "Tch, it's just a power outage, Young Master Jiang, I'm not a little girl who's afraid of the dark anymore."
Jiang Shengjun looked a little disappointed and asked, "Oh, it seems I was overthinking it. Is there anything you're afraid of?"
Su Wanwan replied without hesitation, "I'm afraid you'll answer the cat's call."
He pressed on, asking repeatedly, "Why?"
The water was quite strong in the bathroom, so Su Wanwan couldn't hear Jiang Shengjun clearly. She only caught the gist of what he was saying and was guessing.
