Sobbing, she said, "Jiang Shengjun, why did you say you wouldn't marry me if you couldn't find the key to the Hall of Mental Cultivation? Why did you turn around and marry Su Wanwan? Why were you so good to me before, even though you clearly didn't like me? You made me misunderstand. I like you. Please don't leave me, okay?"
Jiang Shengjun remained silent, because he felt that the more he explained, the less sense it made.
He used to be nice to her, but he only treated her as a good friend; he had no feelings for her whatsoever.
He wouldn't let her touch him like that, and turned to signal to the two bodyguards.
The two bodyguards couldn't be happier; they had been standing in the noise from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. and were already at their breaking point!
Two bodyguards stepped forward and pulled Ouyang Maomao away. One of the bodyguards, named Fu Yan, immediately hugged Ouyang Maomao in his arms, looking very protective of her. After exchanging glances with Su Wanwan and Jiang Shengjun, he left.
When she left, Ouyang Maomao was crying with snot and tears streaming down her face, muttering Jiang Shengjun's name.
After Ouyang Maomao left, Jiang Shengjun turned off the music in the private room and locked the door.
He took off his coat, rolled up the sleeves of his perfectly wrinkle-free white t-shirt, sat down next to Su Wanwan, opened another bottle of wine, and drank it alone in front of her.
He didn't say anything, he just opened the wine as soon as he arrived, and then looked up and drank it.
Su Wanwan was also stunned.
It was already three o'clock, and she was extremely sleepy.
Turning to look at Jiang Shengjun, the dim light illuminated his imposing figure as he looked up and forced himself to drink more alcohol, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
Su Wanwan's head felt a little heavy. She looked at Jiang Shengjun, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up slightly. She felt a sense of security and warmth whenever he was around.
She remained silent, unwilling to break the warmth of the moment.
But the less she said, the more Jiang Shengjun drank, one bottle after another.
Unable to bear seeing Jiang Shengjun torment himself like this, she reached out to snatch the wine from his hand and pleaded, "Don't drink anymore, Jiang Shengjun."
Jiang Shengjun refused to listen and kept drinking bottle after bottle.
Su Wanwan couldn't help but shout, "Stop drinking!"
The sound was particularly noticeable in the quiet private room.
Jiang Shengjun turned his head, his slightly tipsy expression appearing even more ambiguous in the dim light.
A mocking smile played on his lips: "Don't you like drinking? They're gone, now I'll drink with you."
Su Wanwan was either relaxed upon seeing Jiang Shengjun or genuinely drunk, her mind was completely unclear.
She pulled Jiang Shengjun to his feet: "Let's drink another day. You have to work tomorrow, and I'm tired too. Let's go home while I can still walk."
Jiang Shengjun pulled her onto his lap, his hand gripping Su Wanwan's slender waist. His cold gaze swept over her: "Looks like you can still drink. Tonight I want to see you drunk. Su Wanwan, if you don't get drunk tonight, I won't come home. The company's closed tomorrow, so I'll have time to spend with you."
He has time to spend with Su Wanwan, but Su Wanwan doesn't have time to spend with him.
She needs to go to the bank to withdraw money tomorrow.
"Mr. Jiang, stop joking around."
Su Wanwan pushed him away and sat down to the side, and he also sat away from Su Wanwan.
Su Wanwan moved a little distance away, and Jiang Shengjun followed.
Move once.
twice.
three times.
The fourth time, Jiang Shengjun stopped following her and simply reached out and pulled her to his side.
He then picked up the remote and started playing music, specifically those extremely ambiguous English songs.
His lips, slightly red from the alcohol, were stared intently at Su Wanwan with a slightly tipsy expression, his gaze slowly closing the distance between them.
"Truth comes out when one is drunk," Jiang Shengjun said, determined to get Su Wanwan drunk until she told the truth.
Su Wanwan smoothed the hair behind her ear and lowered her eyes first in this battle of eyes, feeling that she was a little ridiculous.
She looked up again, her eyes fixed firmly on Jiang Shengjun, and said in a firm tone, "Mr. Jiang, I'm going back. If you want to drink, then drink by yourself. I'm not keeping you company."
Jiang Shengjun turned his head, opened another bottle of wine, and handed it to Su Wanwan, doing the opposite of what he had done.
"Haven't you always wanted to know what I'm thinking? Maybe after having a drink with you, I'll tell you the truth. You can test me anytime tonight."
Su Wanwan chuckled, "Mr. Jiang, are you teasing me? I'm already drunk, how can I be sure I can get you drunk too?"
Jiang Shengjun was fully confident and began implementing his Plan B.
Seeing Su Wanwan get up and walk towards the door, Jiang Shengjun, seeing that she was still quite composed, said only, "I don't care if you're drunk or not, you have to stay and drink tonight. If you don't drink, you can forget about getting that ten million tomorrow."
Su Wanwan was instantly furious: "I clearly made an appointment with the bank, what tricks have you played now?"
Jiang Shengjun looked down at the wine and said coldly, "Anyway, if you don't stay with me, you definitely won't get the money tomorrow."
Su Wanwan was truly impressed.
"Dad, drink up! I'll drink!"
Jiang Shengjun was overjoyed.
It's easy to handle.
Perfect!
proud.
"Ahem, come on." Jiang Shengjun handed Su Wanwan a glass of wine that had just been poured.
Su Wanwan refused the wine glass and grabbed a bottle instead, saying, "Since you want to get drunk, then we'll drink it bottle by bottle."
Jiang Shengjun and she raised their glasses in a toast.
The two of them started drinking.
Feeling unsatisfied with the drinking, Su Wanwan taught Jiang Shengjun a folk custom—finger-guessing games.
Although it doesn't look elegant, it's really fun to use.
Soon, Su Wanwan finished with Jiang Shengjun and rushed off to the toilet.
When I returned, I found Jiang Shengjun asleep on the sofa.
